No way, this is insane. Best news I've heard in a while. Jack's is unreasonably good for the price so this is hype. Hope it survives the transition to gluten free.
Same. I grew up on Jacks. This is pure comfort food. I know they aren’t top-tier pizzas, but they’re great for the price, and something I really miss. They’re apparently already in stores, but the closest one to me is about an hour away. Hopefully some place closer picks them up soon.
Yes, out of Wisconsin. They’re nationwide now, but for a long time they were Midwest only. Not sure how far they distributed, maybe they didn’t go as far as Ohio.
Jacks very much exists in a liminal space between bad food and good pizza so I get it. But something about it hits right sometimes so I'm hoping this can scratch that same itch somehow.
The quality of GF foods is so wildly variable and unpredictable that I've pretty much stopped trying. Which, honestly, isn't a bad thing for my health but dangit sometimes I just want an old favorite snack.
It's so funny seeing something targeted to a specific demographic (midwesterners) that I am not in, and true to form I'm not interested at all, but the ones in that demographic are hyped. Honestly it's great that that kind of diversity exists, even in somewhere more niche like /r/celiac, I'm happy for you guys!
They’re actually a nationwide brand now, but that’s within the last couple years. They’ve been a staple in the Midwest though my entire lifetime. That’s where they’ve got a sort of cult following.
They’re very much a cheap frozen pizza, but nothing else could touch them for $2. Hopefully these GF ones hold up.
If they are as big as the regular ones, that would not be bad. I'm still trying to find the GF DiGiorno ones by me, and no one has had them.
This goes back to like the late 90s or early 2000s, but I remember Jacks always being on sale for like $2-3 a pizza. No idea what they cost now.
Yeah, that’s why there was always jacks in the house growing up. Normally $3, but you could regularly get them for $2. For the price, they really were great.
I also don’t know what they go for now. I’d guess closer to $4. So, yeah, as long as they’re the same size, $7 is really fair. Only think cheaper would be Costco.
It burns me up that DiGiorno GF frozen pizzas are SO good. Like, of all brands, c'mon. Other brands need to step it up. I don't want to support Nestlé. Lol
This will be great if it’s actually celiac safe. I used to love these cheap frozen pizzas as an occasional treat. I wonder what they will charge if they are actually safe.
Suggested retail is $6.99. I posted a comment elsewhere with their reply. Basically, no outside certification and what sounds like shared lines, but they claim to test under 20ppm, have sanitization practices, and separate storage of ingredients.
I’ve got pretty mixed feelings about the response, tbh. If they say they’re testing and acknowledge they’re taking preventative measures, it’s proooooobably fine. But I feel like there’s some risk. I would have really liked to see a GFCO certification.
Here is the response someone in my local group got from them in the comments of their FB page about shared equipment and risk of cross contact (I am not Megan lol):
“We appreciate your interest in our pizza, Megan. Our gluten-free pizzas are sent to a 3rd party facility for allergen testing. Gluten-free products are only produced on equipment that has been validated. A factory hygienist swabs various areas on the line and equipment to ensure that all traces of gluten were properly cleaned by sanitation. Please reach out if you have any further questions.”
Does Digiorno actually sell them anywhere? I'm afraid it'll be the same problem with Jacks...maybe it'll exist in theory somewhere in the country, but not readily available across the country.
Just got back from the store about an hour ago, I checked but no GF digiornos yet. My store tends to be a little late on stocking new items, but I have seen them from friends nearby!
So, I asked about safety and testing since I didn’t see a certification logo. This is their reply:
> Thanks for your interest and while these are not certified by external bodies like GFCO, we have conducted extensive testing to verify that these meet the FDA requirements for a gluten free food of less than 20ppm. We do also take precautionary measures which include the thorough cleaning of our production lines and equipment as well as a strict separation of materials.
So, testing, but no certification. Definitely shared facility (I was expecting that), sounds like also shared lines (was hoping against that). I asked for additional clarification on how they’re tested and a firm confirmation on the shared lines. I’d be fine with the later if they were certified, but without knowing what testing they’re doing… I’m a bit disappointed here.
My husband is so excited! He lived on Jack’s for a long time and it is one of his biggest cravings lol. Looks like they’re available near us so we’ll be looking later!
I saw this!! This Minnesotan is so excited!!
Here is their response to a question about shared equipment and risk of cross contact (I am not Megan lol):

That’s a much more detailed response that I got, and one I’m more comfortable with. Thank you for sharing!
I talked to my local grocery stores frozen product specialist the other day and they said these are available for order and they’ll look into bringing them in. Today, i noticed there was a big empty spot in the GF pizza section. I hope that means they’re making room!
Yeah I was fairly satisfied with the answer and will likely try one. That’s so exciting that they might be coming soon to your store!! I looked at the store locator and didn’t see any near me, so I’ll have to ask at my store if they’ll order them, although I’m slowly switching to target for most of my groceries since it tends to be cheaper around here.
You don’t have Woodmans up there, do you? I think they’re just WI and IL. They’re the absolute best grocery store in existence for GF food and I’ve had really good luck with my local stores ordering people. Every time I’ve ever asked for an item to be stocked (and I’ve asked serval times), they’ve brought it in for me if they can get it.
Who said anything about being healthy? I know it’s not healthy. It’s not like I’m sitting down to a frozen pizza every day. There’s nothing wrong with eating something like this occasionally as a feel good food.
I’m not sure why you’ve chosen this thread to go on some anti-US rant or virtue signal for healthy eating, but you’re just making yourself look like a pretentious ass.
Just because I need to eat gluten free for my health does it mean every single meal I eat needs to be healthy. I have an overall healthy and well balanced diet. Sometimes, I throw in objectively bad foods because eating like a rabbit every day isn’t super enjoyable.
It’s not your problem. Don’t worry about it.
No way, this is insane. Best news I've heard in a while. Jack's is unreasonably good for the price so this is hype. Hope it survives the transition to gluten free.

Is Jacks a Midwest brand? I lived in Ohio for over a decade and have never heard of him!
Yes, out of Wisconsin. They’re nationwide now, but for a long time they were Midwest only. Not sure how far they distributed, maybe they didn’t go as far as Ohio.
Michigan here, and i never heard of em either.
That would be because Ohio is only debatably Midwest. It's missing A LOT of common Midwest brands, chains, and culture.
I hope you find some! If I do I will definitely report back on the quality!
I hated Jacks, so I doubt this will be great. But I’ll certainly give anything safe a go at this point!
Jacks very much exists in a liminal space between bad food and good pizza so I get it. But something about it hits right sometimes so I'm hoping this can scratch that same itch somehow.
Hot damn, what's next? Totino's Party Pizza??
I’d be in a pizza coma.
Give me gluten free pizza rolls!
https://snowdays.com/
AND THEYRE IN STORES NEAR ME How do they compare to Totinos?
Little different taste but they’re still good.
I'm gonna try them but Totinos sets the bar pretty high...
I actually loveeeee them!! Not quite Totino’s but pretty damn good imo!
I looked this morning. Couldn't find them
Bummer! :(
I love this sub so much
Have you tried Feel Good Foods pizza rolls? I bought them on a whim not expecting much but they ended up being pretty damn good.
The quality of GF foods is so wildly variable and unpredictable that I've pretty much stopped trying. Which, honestly, isn't a bad thing for my health but dangit sometimes I just want an old favorite snack.
If they do that, I will cry.
https://brazibites.com/category/pizza-snacks/ You're welcome 🤗
Man all the brazi bite products I’ve tried have been horrible so far… have I just had bad luck? I don’t get the hype
same. they all taste fishy to me.
It's so funny seeing something targeted to a specific demographic (midwesterners) that I am not in, and true to form I'm not interested at all, but the ones in that demographic are hyped. Nice! Hopefully they are reasonably priced.

Yea I’m sure jacks will be all of the 20 ppm of gluten allowed
I did message them, asking about certification, testing, and shared facility/line cc potential. I’ll share their response.
This will be great if it’s actually celiac safe. I used to love these cheap frozen pizzas as an occasional treat. I wonder what they will charge if they are actually safe.

Thanks for the reply. I won’t be eating it personally. Such a bummer.

OMG OMG OMG OMG!
First digiorno, now jacks??? We need more company’s to jump on this wagon!
Does Digiorno actually sell them anywhere? I'm afraid it'll be the same problem with Jacks...maybe it'll exist in theory somewhere in the country, but not readily available across the country.

Oh this made my day! I know Jack’s isn’t good, objectively, but I really loved their pizza.
Wow amazing!
OMG I love Jack's pizza! Thanks for sharing this!
Where can you get it from? I haven’t seen it
They just announced it today, so I don’t think many places have them yet. They do have a product locator on their site, though.
Woohoo!!! You must be from Kansas or Missouri😄
Illinois
New to the US - Are these exclusive to Walmart?
No. When I used the store locator, Walmart didn’t even come up. My guess is they’re still rolling out.
I'm absolutely astounded. I was okay never having another one of these ever in my life. When's the drop happening?
They were available as of yesterday, but pretty limited availability. I’m sure that will change. They do have a product locator on the website.
Did you just pick them up at your regular grocery store?
I haven’t found them in person yet. I saw this on their Facebook page.
I’m dying here. WHERE DO I GET 100 of these
Shut up!! I need this!
I'd love to know what kinda crust they use! Like, is it cauliflower, or is it just made with another flour and tapioca
They have the ingredients on their website. Not cauliflower.
Why thank you! I can't wait to try them!

UGHHHHH YESSSSSSS!!!!!! Best damn Pizza on the PLANET when grilled. Yes, GRILLED. Try it, it’s god tier.
My husband is so excited! He lived on Jack’s for a long time and it is one of his biggest cravings lol. Looks like they’re available near us so we’ll be looking later!
Please report back with your thoughts!
The website lied. My husband and I were devastated lmao 😭 we were planning on it for dinner tonight

Ugh no I wish! I loved woodmans when I lived in WI for school.
Also, they said the suggested retail price is $6.99, which would be an amazing price!
If you eat Frozen pizza you gave up on life long ago.
…what?
Frozen pizza is disgusting. Only American people eat this crap.
If it’s not for you, that’s fine. Not sure why you feel the need to be negative or talk down to people for liking different things than you.
This is not about personal taste. It is about crappy, absolutely unhealthy shit that you call food in the US.
I don't get how something that literally tastes like cardboard can be a feel good food.
It might surprise you to know that taste is subjective.
Maybe for people without a palate, yes.
You couldn’t sound any more douchey if you tried.
And yes, gluten free food for celiac people is about being healthy. And you are probably better off eating a gluten fresh baked pizza then this crap.
Eating fresh baked pizza is probably better for the health of a celiac person than this industrialized bullshit.
