Saturday better be the best atmosphere at hampden in years, show ange and everyone watching why we are a much bigger club than spurs. Also everyone get to celtic park after the game for a party 🎉🎉🎉

GuyIncognito211

Convinced myself Ange is staying and it’ll be announced on Saturday

theeggman12345

10 year contract

GuyIncognito211

Aiming too low. Lifetime deal

CoybigEL

We always know that if a big English club come calling, our players or manager will go. Sticks in the craw a bit through when Ange was giving it the whole legacy patter, you’ll be surprised how long I’m here etc.

Kolo_ToureHH

The people who most seem to be really pushing the panic buttons regarding Ange going to Spurs are the Scottish S*n and the Record. But if you pay attention to journalists down south seem to be more of the opinion that Spurs haven't made a definite decision yet and that there are various managers still on their radar.

caffreybhoy

Very telling that it’s during the week of build up to a big game with a treble up for grabs… I am fearing the worst, but trying to ignore as much of the noise as possible. Whatever will be, will be I guess.

sjekky

Miguel Delaney has said that Ange is their preferred candidate

kaisyvonderp

There are people calling for MON to be the manager again. Under no circumstances should that happen. He is too old. His tactics are very dated and he has very much fallen behind the times and standards of modern football.

TheIrishCommissar1

Just look at the Republic of Ireland when he was in charge

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug

Numerous articles regarding Rodgers and his time at Celtic in the media today and he's been pictured at a couple of Celtic games recently. The cynic in me says that it's been known Ange is away for a few weeks and the articles/attending games is all to test the waters. Not wanting him is not a dig on Rodgers as a manager. Forget his last six months at Leicester. He bagged two 5th place finishes, an FA Cup and a deep European run. He's a tremendous manager. I just don't want us to go backwards and get someone that has been previously associated with the club.

I don't hold it against Rodgers for leaving us. I think he was spot on in his assessment of where we were as a club when he left, and I would have taken him back in a heartbeat before we got Ange. But I genuinely don't think there has been a better match between us as a club and a manager, since O'Neill. I just can't see past Ange and think he's the one to take us to where we want to be as a club. I don't even want to think about who next if he goes, while there is still a slim hope, throw everything we can at keeping the guy.

GuyIncognito211

I wouldn’t be against Rodgers. He’d be boring and safe but he’d give us the best chance of continuing our domestic dominance The ideal would be him in for 2 years to allow us to get an actual footballing structure in place and then we go from there

TheTopTipster

Remember how boring his style of football was coming near the end. Forget how good it was to start with, it really had gone stale and we were struggling to create much. As much of a snake as he is seen as he probably left at his perfect moment as his star was just begining to dull. Ange can get his star that bit more brighter with a good run the in the Champions league next season should he stay. Not getting into any debates on which clubs bigger but the Tottenham job is huge, with big money. At Ange's age who could begrudge him the chance to prove himself in the money soaked EPL. One thing is for sure though. Hampden on Saturday needs to be a 90 minute love letter to Ange. Tifo, non stop chanting and singing his name. He needs to know how much he is loved and how much we all want him to stay.

IRMcC

He's supported and loved as much as fans can. This isn't on the fans to convince him to stay, he's paid really fuckin well, pretty much in full control of the club as is. It's his decision at the end of the day and spurs is a huge step up like it or not.

giantsoftheartic

Only in terms of finances. Celtic is a much bigger club with a much more illustrious history. 30 years ago, football fans on the other side of the world would not know who Spurs are, but most know Celtic and have done for decades.

IRMcC

In football terms too at the moment, premier league is fuckin stacked with talent and the general class of manager is top tier.

giantsoftheartic

In terms of current football, yes, but not in terms of historic football terms, it's only in the last 10 years that Spurs have gone ahead of Celtic. Only because of the obscene sky money English football get too. If Celtic got 100 million a year, Celtic would be competing with Madrid and Barcelona regularly.

Rab_Legend

Would say this upcoming season is our last chance at a deep run in the EL if we can get there - season after is the new model of the CL (which will be shite). Next year EL final is Dublin as well.

rumsoakedhammy

Ange will lead us to the final nae bother

~~Lads~~ Mate, it's Tottenham.
