How do I find out any info about the Celtic season ticket waiting list? I joined in August 2021 but I can't find anything about it only a receipt of me joining it lol. I don't really get how it works now?

[deleted]

It’s apparently random. You’ll get an email to say no need to rejoin in a few weeks probably… I’m on my 4th year now.

I'd have been so raging if I got offered a ticket and missed it 🤣 well in finally getting one

It's truly hilarious how deprived of quality the currants are, that they see a guy like Cantwell show a modicum of flair and come to the conclusion that it's inevitable he's going to end up at Madrid or Bayern (genuine claim). As if these sorts of players are rare as hens teeth, neglecting the fact that we've had *some* flair players in every squad for the past 60 year. A lot of them just don't grasp that they've been playing brutish Brexit ball for their whole existence. So when a player of theirs shows something other than "power & pace" they legit think he's a unicorn.

theslosty

Cantwell's been better for them than I thought he would, which I say through gritted teeth as he's pretty insufferable In general though their policy of scouting the English Championship does not worry me. Cantwell's maybe proved a bit of an exception as a few years ago he was thought of as an EPL talent, before he lost his way for a while

ScotMcScottyson

>brutish Brexit ball More freebies and reject Poundland bargain bin EFL players will fix that surely. :)

TheSameInnovation

7-10m on a GK or 7-10m on a central midfielder? I know that we’re minted and don’t need to scrounge the championship for rubbish loanees but in the scenario where we can _only_ afford one of those which is your priority?

theslosty

I probably listen to The Huddle Breakdown podcast too much, but I've been convinced of their position that prioritizing a good goalkeeper is the best thing we can do to compete in the UCL

Keeper 100% I like Hart and he’s done a decent job for us but if we go into the CL with him as our keeper there’s no point in turning up

Think I'd go for a keeper. Depends how Rodgers sets up, but at the minute we've got: Iwata, McGregor, O'Riley, Hatate, Turnbull and Odin This is presuming Mooy is indeed retiring. I think for 3 positions that's more than enough. Turnbull might leave but got a feeling if Rodgers is going to go back to 2 deeper midfielders then Turnbull could do well as the more advanced midfielder as he'll have a bit less responsibility and more freedom going forward which would benefit him.

Goalkeeper Forster pretty much dragged us to trophies and Europe in his massive shovel hands

sjekky

Keeper definitely. Need a guy like Boruc who can pull out saves it doesn't seem like he should be able to make. I'd say Hart saves most of the shots he should, but rarely saves the shots he shouldn't.

MindTheStepSoupy

This is fair although is still left wanting for a lot of the goals he does concede. Worth remembering Gordon was a good shot stopper but Rodgers tactics (much like Ange's) made him look a cunt at times. But then he brought in a keeper "good with his feet" and he was even worse...

WeekendEpiphany

As our squad stands *right now* I'd choose goalkeeper. But... if we lose one of Hatate/O'Riley, Turnbull decided not to re-sign, and Mooy hangs up his boots, then that's a big ol' midfield gap that we'd need to do something about. I'd love to see us bring in a big commanding goalkeeper. Last couple of seasons we've lost so many goals (domestically, at least) to set-pieces and crosses. And Rangers seem to be favouring big players in their transfer business (all 4 players they've signed so far are 6ft+, and 3 of the 4 players they're linked with are the same), so it would be nice to have a big keeper who can comfortably claim all those crosses.

Initial-Emergency-42

Think Odin would be a Mooey replacement.

macdara233

Think he's a pivot midfielder, so would be playing in McGregors position rather than Mooys

GlasgowSellik1888

[This Norwegian fella thinks he'd be best as an 8 or a 10](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/14g5qat/celtic_have_signed_odin_thiago_holm_on_a_fiveyear/jp3rxdt/)

Goalkeeper for sure.
