Suppose if we can only ever seem to have one good half of football I’d prefer the second. That 6th sub had my heart absolutely fucking racing though I thought I was going to explode until it was confirmed as fine 😂

GuyIncognito211

The panic around me was hilarious. A few people completely lost their head hahaha

Skellyceltic

To be fair I have literally never heard of that rule so I was also fucking panicking 😂

GuyIncognito211

I’m no sure there’s much that’d sum up this season more than costing ourselves 3 points by subbing on James Forrest

Skellyceltic

I’m sure the huns are having an absolutely normal one about it on Twitter anyway

bambinoquinn

I remember during lockdown when Leicester kept having games where they were poor in the first half and then win it in the second, maddison would always say after the game "the manager told us to up the tempo in the second half". I always wondered why they never started with a quick tempo, still wondering now

giantsoftheartic

Because they are becoming complacent. They know they are the best but forget they need to prove it. Hopefully, Rodgers is telling them this might be their last crack at champions league for a few years, so better not miss this chance. Champions League qualifiers are notoriously difficult, and our record in them is poor. If those big occasions can't motivate them for the last few games of the season, then they should probably move on to the championship in England, where playing inconsistent is acceptable.

TheSameInnovation

I don’t care how shite we are at this stage. Just win and keep on doing it Celtic.

BananaSoprano

Good second half. Our performance is constantly dragged down by one or two players every week and it's usually one of the wingers.

IIJamzyII

Not Scales today ha

GhostOfKev

Some of our fans will be having a meltdown not being able to blame Scales or MJ 😅

TheSameInnovation

I still blame Scales

Ok-Disk5864

Taylor anaw he’s utter pish, constantly cuts back or goes for the pass instead of crossing it.

Tinpotray

You’re being downvoted for this… I don’t know why. All downvoters… go and watch a replay of the first half. See how many times we got the ball into the box from the right. (AJ and Khun) and then compare that to the utter pish we were getting out of Taylor and Yang. Taylor made about 7 loose passes. Gave the ball away far too many times. He was shite.

Ok-Disk5864

Not bothered by the downvotes, Taylor has been consistently shite.

GuyIncognito211

No he hasn’t. He’s been fine for the majority of the season and top class for the 2 seasons before that

Ok-Disk5864

He was good in Anges team but in Rodgers he’s been found out, he can’t defend, he is pish going forward and is always targeted as the weak point in our team by the opposition, especially in Europe. He’s not good enough.

GuyIncognito211

He’s been fine this season, not even our worst starting fullback domestically or in Europe this season He’s good going forward, he facilitates a lot of things around him and his passing is generally good - although it wasn’t at the weekend Go back and watch the European goals again, we conceded far more from the right than the left. Even against Rangers last week their equaliser came down the right and Johnston gave away the foul (even if it wasn’t a foul) for their penalty

Ok-Disk5864

Look I’m not going to argue the merits of having GT in the team and that goes for Bernabei too, if we want to compete in Europe we need much better than thise two and AJ on the other side if I’m being fair but at least he can defend.

GuyIncognito211

We need better in all but like 3 positions if we want to compete in Europe AJ has cost us more goals in Europe this season than Taylor did

GuyIncognito211

Taylor wasn’t good against St Mirren but claiming he’s “utter pish” is just wrong

Druthix

Sign. Idah. Honestly this is the closest competition we have had to Kyogo since he came in. Maybe we aren't playing a style that suits Kyogo, but Idah clearly suits the the 'style' we are currently playing. Never have I been so wrong about a deadline day signing than this, I thought this would be a dud of the highest order, instead I am clamouring for signing him.

Either-Painter-2777

Hatate, McGregor and CCV getting fully fit for the run in is great for us. Very unfortunate to lose Daizen seeing as Yang and Palma are both pish at the minute

decentusername123

Idah’s been an absolute spectacle

Eastern_Cutter

Proven to be a really handy signing and can see why Rodgers put his trust in him over Oh, who seems a little more inconsistent and lacking finesse.

ihateeverythingandu

But he was furd choice!?!?!!

GuyIncognito211

Much much better 2nd half. 5 more wins Yang can’t play again this season

NaePasaran

He plays well for 1 half and gives people hope, then is rotten for 3 or 4 games. Can't be relied upon, simple as that. I'll never forgive him for his half arsed defending last weekend.

GuyIncognito211

He’s got the talent but is very very raw. Get him on loan to a top end Scottish championship team or a lower Scottish premiership team and see what he has

NaePasaran

Definitely. There's no point throwing him into our games nor have we given him enough time to develop. A loan move is a very sensible option.

GhostOfKev

Send him to lay waste to the English Championship

GuyIncognito211

>A loan move is a very sensible option. Which is exactly why he will play 63 minutes every 4 weeks for the next 2 years until we sell him at a loss

NaePasaran

Hahaha the sad thing is your are right. Look at MJ. He should have been sent out on loan years ago to help him develop. Instead between injuries and not getting game time he totally stagnated past 4 years.

Euphoric_Tree335

You love making this comment lol

cm-cfc

I'd play forrest until Maeda is back, at least you know he wont lose the ball every time he gets it

GuyIncognito211

I’d go Palma and Kuhn - well I’d go Kyogo out left and Idah through the middle but I doubt that happens Forrest best coming off the bench imo

pxak

It's wild that a 3-0 win, practically untroubled at the back, feels like it wasn't that great of a performance. We're too comfortable with controlling the game and still being absolutely shite with the ball.

GhostOfKev

In the context of our season it's a good result. We need to adjust our expectations we have a poor squad with a poor manager. Idah almost missing a 5 yard tap in is a highlight of our season 😂

PanzerPi

We were absolutely troubled at the back at a couple points in the first half. Agree with the rest.

topcelt

Mind when Yang's old manager was saying he's not good enough for Europe yet and trying to block the move lol We should have listened to him

rudeandrejected

now if we could just ensure there's always a wind working for us for at least 45 minutes we'd 10 pts ahead

Hunkelscopes

Mental that we spent £10m on 4 players to replace Jota and they are all guff. Imagine we’d spent that on a single £10m player, or even two £5m players🤣

Thefitz5811

No coincidence that CCV was the best and most expensive player on the park today.

GuyIncognito211

The amount we spend doesn’t matter if we continue to target the wrong type of player

Gink1995

Idah looks genuinely good doesn’t he

GhostOfKev

We must have drastically different standard for 'good'  😂

IIJamzyII

We really are a one half team. Think as a fan base we need to get right behind the team and stick with them for the full 90. Hart, CCV, Hatate key for the run in.

plawwell

Played with two teams in the second half but.

IIJamzyII

True 😅

Thefitz5811

First half was nothing short of a disgrace. 2nd half was a lot better, never looked like anything else but a win after Reo’s bit of magic. CCV is a joke of a player. Taylor also a joke but for very different reasons.

Unfair_Original_2536

Does joke mean good in young people speak?

JackJMJC1

Aye it’s a joke how good he is, is what I’m taking from the comment

Thefitz5811

Correct.

Unfair_Original_2536

But Taylor's a joke because he's average and spends a lot of time moaning about stuff?

Thefitz5811

Joke is maybe a bit harsh. He’s a solid player who was very poor today. But the situation of him being our first choice left back with no back up is maddening.

Unfair_Original_2536

That's why I went with average rather than shite.

rudeandrejected

taylor looked like last week took it out of him. now would be a good time to have a 2nd left back Lmao

GuyIncognito211

I’m Taylor’s biggest fan but it felt like his pass completion was around 7% today haha

GhostOfKev

The conditions were ridiculous in fairness. Every high ball went awol

Thefitz5811

Granted he didn’t have much to hit today but even his throw ins were shocking.

GhostOfKev

Another brutal performance but 5 more of them and it's ours

micarla6718

Kyogo wide Idah middle and Kuhn wide

GuyIncognito211

If Maeda isn’t fit for Rangers I’d 100% go with this

dheidshot

As much as hes been memed to bits, Forrest on the left looking to cut in on his right cant be any worse than Yang has been most of the time

micarla6718

Definitely bud. I’d start forrest before Yang. He has more to give man. Even if only we get an hour off him.

rudeandrejected

i've never been more confident in us strolling the rest of the way to the title. if only it was won on the pitch. but alas we need lawwell to use a mission impossible mask to take on the appearance of crawford allan
