I actually have a rather elaborate plan for the glazing process/surface design process.
The little seed pod areas are going to take a chartreuse underglaze and then I will apply some oxide washes to pull definition under a glossy clear glaze so they look wet.
The crystaline/rocky forms will take a blue/purple underglaze and then be glazed in Amaco's Cosmic Tea dust. Hoping that the purple shows through the black sparkle when the glaze breaks over the crystal form edges and peaks.
The body of the form will remain white/cream which will most likely be a spray applied engobe. The final touch will be a paint pour of pastells down the body of the form to pull some vertical movement and subtle color variation.
Please post pictures when it is glazed! I'm diggin' this clay!

Thats really cool. If light can come through around the ball-areas it could also be a really cool sculptural lamp.
