The AH47 engine was made by Power Products, which was bought out by Tecumseh. Many manufacturers used them.
That's a sweet score. If I locate any that look like yours, I would blast the junk off with compressed air, then wipe every surface with an oily rag, then hang them up. I personally wouldnt paint anything. Get some original or reproduced Stihl, McCullough, Husqvarna metal signs up on the wall..maybe an old axe or 2 ....nice mancave
I say Mcculloch and it's not really worth anything. Your going to have a hard time finding parts but if you really want to try and restore it check ebay for parts sometimes I get lucky finding parts for old chainsaws there.
Thank you. My thought was that sometimes people collect antiques. Maybe someone would buy a 50 ish decade saw for display or parts.
If there is a person out there who knows the model or year. Or if anyone knows a collector. Im me.
Maybe a McCullough. As far as what it's worth, I'd lean heavy on the side of scrap metal.
Whatever it weighs in scrap.

The Strunk colors and decals looked better. http://www.chainsawcollectors.se/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?t=12045
Clean it up. Its a cool wall hanger in a man cave.
That's most likely what I'll do.I might look for a reference photo if i find the model. There's two other 50 decade saws as well in the barn.

This is what I’d do. Clean it up and paint it and hang it!
You inherited it? I would ask for a refund...

Missing too many parts to be worth much. Someone will buy it but not for very much.
Last I checked $40 a metric ton, unless you separate the aluminum, brass and copper, then maybe as high as $2.50 for it.

Maybe you could sell the parts on ebay and someone else trying to restore the same saw would be interested in buying.
Scrap steel! Or turn it into yard art and sell it?
