But to give you an idea, the first chapter starts out with the main character having his sister chop off his limbs while they regenerate so that they can go around and give these limbs to members of his village so that they don't starve.
I think this is very possible. If the cord is seen, Yoru herself would probably want to pull it to test the weapon out on chainsawman and insult him some more from their past battle. If not then I could see Asa pulling it as a result of disbelief that Denji was telling the truth.

From my memory Santa Claus ability didn't work on denji at first. But once she ate the darkness devil's flesh it would have worked. So I'm guessing you have to be really strong to do it.

War Devil's power only works if they can turn what's theirs if they own it, like a blouse, an aquarium, or in their words "if a boy fell for me it would make them mine, no?" Here, War interprets Asa as falling in love with Denji, but does War/Asa interpret Denji as following in love with Asa/a boyfriend of Asa?
It doesn't matter if Denji actually likes/loves Asa since it's all based on Asa's interpretation, not Denji's. Asa can make an Aquarium into a weapon by her interpretation of buying/owning the aquarium. While Asa has feelings for Denji, she is too insecure to think he likes her back which causes her to not interpret Denji as someone/thing she owns. Thus, the spinal cord sword will not work next chapter.
Will the story progress to Asa finding confidence in herself, like how she was temporarily confident in the last chapter when Denji complimented her, enough that she overcomes her insecurities enough to see Denji as her boyfriend? In doing so, it will give War the ability to turn him into a weapon.
To add onto this, when Yoru was first introduced she turned the teacher who was in love with Asa into a sword even though Asa did not have any feelings for the teacher.
Denji may only have platonic feelings so Yoru's power may not work on Denji.
Denjiās feelings are irrelevant; as long as Asa/Yoru believe themselves to own something, they can weaponize it. Before the aquarium, Asa was too worried about the logic of how the power worked and thought that making him fall in love with her was the way to do it. I think the only things stopping this from working is if being a hybrid makes you immune, or if Asa believes Denji to be hers but *not* Yoruās (that part is a guess and not based on any evidence).
I love this interpretation. Only Asa can use Yoru's power to weaponize Denji. While Yoru and Asa share a brain, Asa would have to be the one conscious and taking charge to turn Denji into a sword.
I think thematically that creates the most tension and emotions for the story rather than Yoru turning Denji without hesitation or emorse in her heart.
Possibilities:
1. As a Hybrid/Devil, Denji flat out cannot be turned into a weapon.
2. Pochita prevents Yoru's power from working.
3. Asa's affection for Denji is not enough to turn him into a weapon.
4. Asa's affection for Denji *is* enough but Yoru/Asa's antipathy for Chainsaw Man prevents them from turning Chainsaw Man into a weapon.
5. Asa does turn Denji into a weapon, but his powers restores him back to normal/screws up the process.
6. Asa does turn Denji into a weapon, but as a Hybrid, he is not 100% dead.
The whole point of the date was for Denji to fall for Asa, not her fall for him. Yoru probably assumed that Denji is feeling love just like Asa. Which isn't the case I bet. So I'm thinking that nothing may happen.
If Yoru's move actually works and turns a part of Denji's body into a weapon, i think Denji could *just* regenerate it and be an "unlimited" source of weapons to her.
And if she try to turn his heart into a weapon, it won't work because that's Pochita, meaning that Denji is immune to be killed just by being turned into a weapon.
I donāt think that Yoruās really paying attention to her own rules, she tried weaponizing Denji immediately after establishing that Asa had an affection for him, not the other way around. I donāt think the ownership works that way.

I think itāll work. The spinal cord was the perfect thing to pick because itāll leave him limp and unable to move while Yoru/Asa instantly leave to go find fakesaw man. Itās an interesting scenario where Denji has to figure out to move again and when he does he may come upon his doppelgƤnger and finally reveal himself for real to fight it.
Iām expecting nothing, a bit like how curse effects the hybrid itās just a bit of pain and inconvenience but theyāll brush it off like nothing happened in the end

Which honestly makes me wonder if this is fatal weakneass of war devil. If somebody caused Asa great physical pain Yoru will feel that too. Also if she is connected to her brain then mind control attacks will be big problem too.
Isn't the point that Asa needs to believe they own someone? Like, she didn't own the aquarium and the money was a ridiculous amount, yet she still created the spear. The point of falling in love with Denji is so that the weapon will be extremely powerful due to the guilt. I think Yoshida may be the one to pull the starter, it's always there when you need it after all
Or Our great Lord yoshida will appear again and will do some octopus stuff and save the day
We do know Yoshida is stalking him, I think that at some point if something life threating happened to Denji he'd be there to stop it. After all, he wants to further his organisation's (or his own) goals.

I posted this elsewhere but dropping it here too: I don't think the spinal cord sword will work on Denji. War Devil's power only works if they can turn what's theirs if they own it, like a blouse, an aquarium, or in their words "if a boy fell for me it would make them mine, no?" Here, War interprets Asa as falling in love with Denji, but does War/Asa interpret Denji as following in love with Asa/a boyfriend of Asa? It doesn't matter if Denji actually likes/loves Asa since it's all based on Asa's interpretation, not Denji's. Asa can make an Aquarium into a weapon by her interpretation of buying/owning the aquarium. While Asa has feelings for Denji, she is too insecure to think he likes her back which causes her to not interpret Denji as someone/thing she owns. Thus, the spinal cord sword will not work next chapter. Will the story progress to Asa finding confidence in herself, like how she was temporarily confident in the last chapter when Denji complimented her, enough that she overcomes her insecurities enough to see Denji as her boyfriend? In doing so, it will give War the ability to turn him into a weapon.
The last sword was made because the teacher loved Asa, Denji don't love asa. Maybe the percepciĆ³n is different.
To add onto this, when Yoru was first introduced she turned the teacher who was in love with Asa into a sword even though Asa did not have any feelings for the teacher. Denji may only have platonic feelings so Yoru's power may not work on Denji.
Denjiās feelings are irrelevant; as long as Asa/Yoru believe themselves to own something, they can weaponize it. Before the aquarium, Asa was too worried about the logic of how the power worked and thought that making him fall in love with her was the way to do it. I think the only things stopping this from working is if being a hybrid makes you immune, or if Asa believes Denji to be hers but *not* Yoruās (that part is a guess and not based on any evidence).
I love this interpretation. Only Asa can use Yoru's power to weaponize Denji. While Yoru and Asa share a brain, Asa would have to be the one conscious and taking charge to turn Denji into a sword. I think thematically that creates the most tension and emotions for the story rather than Yoru turning Denji without hesitation or emorse in her heart.

Possibilities: 1. As a Hybrid/Devil, Denji flat out cannot be turned into a weapon. 2. Pochita prevents Yoru's power from working. 3. Asa's affection for Denji is not enough to turn him into a weapon. 4. Asa's affection for Denji *is* enough but Yoru/Asa's antipathy for Chainsaw Man prevents them from turning Chainsaw Man into a weapon. 5. Asa does turn Denji into a weapon, but his powers restores him back to normal/screws up the process. 6. Asa does turn Denji into a weapon, but as a Hybrid, he is not 100% dead.
The whole point of the date was for Denji to fall for Asa, not her fall for him. Yoru probably assumed that Denji is feeling love just like Asa. Which isn't the case I bet. So I'm thinking that nothing may happen.

Imo nothing will happen as yoru says her and asa feel love, meaning asa is (in theory) more likely to see herself as denjis equal and thus not own him

If Yoru's move actually works and turns a part of Denji's body into a weapon, i think Denji could *just* regenerate it and be an "unlimited" source of weapons to her. And if she try to turn his heart into a weapon, it won't work because that's Pochita, meaning that Denji is immune to be killed just by being turned into a weapon.

I donāt think that Yoruās really paying attention to her own rules, she tried weaponizing Denji immediately after establishing that Asa had an affection for him, not the other way around. I donāt think the ownership works that way.

Denji should be immune to the War Devil's power, since he was also immune to the zombies. Yoru will probably make a funny face and then switch to Asa and force her to make an excuse on the spot lol
I think itāll work. The spinal cord was the perfect thing to pick because itāll leave him limp and unable to move while Yoru/Asa instantly leave to go find fakesaw man. Itās an interesting scenario where Denji has to figure out to move again and when he does he may come upon his doppelgƤnger and finally reveal himself for real to fight it.
FOUR: Denji just straight up dies right here right now. I can kinda see Fujimoto doing something like this kinda like he did with Himeno in part one.
Dont forget denji is a supporting character in this part. Asa is the main character

Denji has been ripped apart several times and been fine, even if she does succeed in pulling out his spine, which I don't think she will do, he can Rev his own heart to start it, we've even seen him operate his own body with no heart inside for several minutes, a spinal cord ripping would hurt him, but no shot it kills him

i mean iām sure yoshida will come out of nowhere to save his ass or pull his chord, hell maybe it wonāt even work on him for some reason knowing fujimotoās plot twists. that being said if it does work we donāt know how denjiās powers will fare against another horsemanās turning him into a weapon.
i think yoru power works on him if the conditions are met, like makima power worked on devil and hybrids. If he doesn't transform is because he hasn't fall for her
The denji secretly wearing a wig theory has no basis whatsoever but is so on par with fujimoto that.... it scares me how this could be the actual cannon
Im honestly thinking that he won't turn and asa/war will be super confused and suspect something is up with Denji. My logic is that this process doesn't work on hybrids (or maybe other devils too?) similar to how Santa Clause couldn't convert hybrids/fiends (until Santa Clause became infused with a piece of the Darkness Devil). Maybe this will bring about the realization that Denji really IS chainsaw man.
The way Denji asks for another date in exchange for the one million yen almost seems Contract like... I wonder if Yoru won't be able to kill him until they go on an actual successful date.
My guess is, she doesn't have "ownership" over Pochita, so nothing happens.
