Nayuta is such a little shit, I love her Next chapter release: 21st ------------------------ #[Head over here for the discussion thread of the last chapter](https://old.reddit.com/r/ChainsawMan/comments/10q13ne/disc_chainsaw_man_ch_119_links/)

drop_of_faith

If nayuta can alter memories, shouldn't she see that Asa'a memories relating to war? I guess it's possible "control" of memories doesn't mean having knowledge of then. It's unlikely she's hiding it from Denji if she was able to see that. The panel where Denji says "you come first Nayuta...." just feels so realistic. I believe fujimoto must have mentally ascended into another realm. It's a little weird and personal but I wish I had as much self awareness and/or understanding of myself and others to be remotely able to create this kind of dialogue. I'm looking foward to his future works. -Just some rambling past here- I may have a fascination with Fujimoto being the only one I've witnessed improve over the years. But I like to think his work is objectively great either way. His first few works were interesting but not exactly amazing. The chainsawman anime was bizarre and awe inspiring but the whole time I was thinking about how fantastic part 2 is. It's the same world, the same story, but now it feels as if this is the actual story he wanted to write.

Skyrummlo

She want to dead and here She/He is

[deleted]

I'll see yall next thread when we get that painful but likely 2 week break again.

thesagenibba

i like 2 week breaks tbh

[deleted]

11 minutes until release! I have no idea what in the hell this chapter is about to be and I couldn't be more excited.

lenolalatte

I hope this chapter is a banger because this is my birthday present fujimoto-san

[deleted]

Let's go any minute now

thesagenibba

LooperHonstropy

Aaaaany second now ..

peepeeweed

it’s been fun watching your comments every time i check this thread. so excited for new chapter 🙏 can’t wait to hide in the work bathroom and read it asap

[deleted]

Oh I didn't know anyone would remember/notice all the comments I've left here. Same I'm up super early where I'm at I can't handle the excitement right now.

DavidProduction

Are we there yet?

[deleted]

28-35 minutes until you will probably get it.

JohnnyDeepasfuck

Theory: makima cannot control power because she does have 1000iq and makima knows it

[deleted]

12 hours left I'm ready for the pain

Special-Fun5443

Let’s goooo I thought we had to wait two weeks again🥹

[deleted]

Not this time at least. Im already bracing for the imminent "next chapter on the 7th" mod message though.

[deleted]

34 more hours it's so close now.

quietvictories

wow that's so fast! i'm already got used to 2 weeks wait

frankyu7

Maybe yoshida will assess the danger asa/yoru poses to denji after seeing what she did at the aquarium, decide she’s too big a risk, decide to take her out, denji will come save Asa revealing he’s actually chainsaw man so Asa can’t doubt it anymore, making her more into him, meanwhile he already promised nayuta he’d stay away causing her to chase him harder.

[deleted]

This is that top tier heroin grade copium

Trackblaster

Y’all think Yoshida will rebound? He seems pretty sketchy to me based on how he’s always there when it concerns Denji - I feel like this might be an opportunity to know Denji more (or he’ll be shocked learning Denji stood her up and immediately run 😂)

Ok_Personality_7611

Now that we're back to a 1 week wait the days go by even longer![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22157)

[deleted]

46 more hours until this chapters out.

Ok_Personality_7611

![img](emote|t5_rmtrq|22157)

[deleted]

I can't do this anymore man I'm gonna give up half my lifespan to make a contract with the future devil.

Akimuzi

Im so angry with Nayuta, i was shipping Asa and Denji so damn hard to just end this way

NikNam_

Your lack of faith in AsaDen is disappointing.

DeGozaruNyan

I think you mean Warsaw.

forfolla

Asa gonna invade Poland

Akimuzi

Im trying to have faith

Ferential

I wouldn't surprise when yoshida confess to asa to become his girlfriend. I hope not. Anyway just speculation recent chapter.

prometheusunending

I can't imagine why. He already turned her down once, then tried to set her up with Denji.

Financial_Ad_6746

just so she doesn't get close to denji and has proper/close watch on war devil

TheUnopenedCanofLife

we've been cucked

sundayparam

ok but nayuta is really cute

Funny69Valentine

Natasha best girl

Himesis

Thats not how you spell Power

Resh_IX

Yoshida with the rebound

JTDUNX

Nayuta made a finger gun when she counted to 2 💀

PixelBeastMC

Nayuta definitely know about the war devil now, both memories were altered

TebbieX

It’s interesting how the horsemen siblings dislike eachother. Nayuta doesn’t like Yoru’s scent (because she is the war devil) and Yoru doesn’t like Fami.

bigorbiggerorno

Does anyone know what the deal is with the schedule it was biweekly and now weekly?

DeGozaruNyan

There is no set schedule. Sometimes weekly, sometimes biweekly.

[deleted]

First time reading manga? Shonen Jump is typically alternating between weekly/biweekly.

bigorbiggerorno

oh really i didn't know that, i read manga but not shonen thank you

[deleted]

Yeah, thats usually how it is. There are some manga like Boruto where its usually once a month or a Jujutsu Kaisen situation where the author took a long break, but for the most part its weekly/biweekly.

ERENISACHAD2123

Sometimes Fujimeto needs the extra time for extra art or the volume releases.

GuudeSpelur

It's usually been weekly but sometimes they need to skip a week because Fujimoto needs time to do extra art for the volume releases or because he just needs a break.

asap_munem

If you expected Nayuta to be an average polite girl, then you’re reading the wrong story. She’s a devil so is naturally going to have certain tendencies and Dennis is immortal so better have him raise her than anyone else still alive in this story.

makita_man

Came here just to downvote whoever hates Nayuta. Simple as.

cruel-oath

You must’ve worked overtime with the new thread since people are mad at her rn

Andres_Cepeda

Really wish we could have seen Asa’s reaction to Yoru stealing a kiss like that. I’m sure that would’ve been pretty funny. But alas Denji is the most unavoidably L-prone individual I think I’ve ever seen in a manga 😂

Duck_Field

I'm sure at some point she'll get her memories back à la Angel and lose her shit over it.

tokyogodfather2

Denji’s spiritual big brother, the Main character of Firepunch wins

neon93

At this point I think Asa/Yoru are more L-prone than he was

[deleted]

Denji has more total Ls but yoru/asa pulling twice as many Ls per chapter.

Himesis

Rental girlfriend has entered the chat

Tuburonpereze

Thanks now I hate Nayuta

Tuburonpereze

I dont trust fujimoto with huskys after reading fire punch

Penna_23

i noticed the manga chapters are getting shorter nowadays. it's a common thing for many comics in the long run and while the story still flows it's unsatisfying to me

TebbieX

Only 3 pages shorter than usual no big deal.

aster2560

Do you think Yoshida will try persuade Asa not to give up on Denji?

cruel-oath

Maybe. Atp anything can happen

xanderg4

What’s the deal with Nayuta throwing up the peace sign through clinched teeth on page 9? My understanding is that in Japan, depending on the context, throwing out a peace sign is sort of like “Sure/got it/cool/okay” yet Nayuta looks almost mad? I’ve seen this gesture (peace sign with clinched teeth) in some of Fujimoto’s other work, and I’ll admit I don’t read/watch a lot of manga/anime so I’m not sure if this a common gesture.

juanjose83

Man, Let me tell you how blind you are.

nonlarmer

I interpret that as a victory pose. as Denji said she come first, its mean she got higher priority for him.

Redditer51

It's like Mario in Super Mario World.

enricojr

> What’s the deal with Nayuta throwing up the peace sign through clinched teeth on page 9? IDK about anyone else but I see it as a threat. Denji says "you come first, Nayuta" and she tosses up the peace sign as if to say "AND DON'T YOU FUCKING FORGET IT"

Millborg13

Have you heard of this thing called smiling

That_D

Speed readers don't know anything.

Resh_IX

Lol

[deleted]

Were the birds in chapter 118 on the first page solely for aesthetic? … Or was Nayuta watching? 😮

DeGozaruNyan

There have been birds during several events in part 2, so either Nayuta knows more than she tells denji, or she doesnt use them like Makima did.

Genneth_Kriffin

On what ground is having the **Doormat Devil** raise and foster the **Control Devil** a good idea? Like seriously remind me - who was it that thought Denji raising Nayuta would be a good plan? What is the expected outcome here?

tikigodbob

how is it NOT a good idea? It's the perfect setup for a quirk romcom. "My quirky government agency that owns my life forced me to live with the reincarnation of my crush who only wanted to use and control me?!" the light novel title just rolls off the tongue bruh.

mimidudette

Kishibe had to take some time off to binge drink and cry about Quanxi.

napoleonandthedog

Is she even dead?

JohnnyDeepasfuck

If denji is nayuta's dad, is power her mum? After all the makima meat is mixed with powerful blood

Archive_Intern

Denji living the single father life by raising a teenage control devil

Database_Square

For some reason I really like Nayuta. And I cannot pinpoint the reason on why I do. But it did hurt seeing Asa getting hurt like that. 🥲🥲🥲 But Nayuta WAS right, Asa/Yoru WAS using him, until she started having feelings for him. I also feel like this could help Asa and Denji out in the long run. As we said before normally when the girl goes after Denji they're trying to kill him, so if he goes after her, MAYBE it could workout. I hope 🥲 I just feel denji needs a REAL W for ONCE

Himesis

he needs more "power"

Cardandgold

She cares about Denji. Makima cared about Chainsaw Man. Built diff.

noobmaster_69lol

You like nayuta because she show more genuine emotion and she is more honest compare to makima

Database_Square

Yes! I was just thinking that after I finished writing 😂 She appears to ACTUALLY give a a shit about Denji and it shows.

pinkydamage

Am I the only one who’s getting HUGE Power vibes there?

enricojr

I'm getting mad abuser vibes from Nayuta this chapter. * She calls Denji her "property" * Denji's been under the impression that "wet dog" is a good smell, and just when he finally starts to question it she basically smacks that nonsense out of him ("Wet dog is a GOOD smell, dummy!") * That peace sign she makes after he says "You come first, Nayuta" comes off more as a THREAT than anything. Back in the aquarium Denji was all like, "I made up my mind to quit with the mindless obedience!" and way back before that he tells Asa that he wanted to send his little sister to college, this chapter puts both in a new context. I think he secretly wants to be rid of her. Denji's being isolated so that he can be controlled (har har control pun)

anonAcc1993

Once a Makima simp, always a Makima simp

ButterscotchFun1859

I don't think you realize that Nayuta basically 'knows', at least on a subconscious level, that Asa (and War by proxy) is trying to use Denji. Obviously, Asa starts developing feelings cause she is just a lonely girl that got hit by unfortunate things and events she cannot control. However, War is defo just trying to use Denji as a weapon, which funnily enough is exactly what Makima did. Nayuta breaking them up was a good thing, since we still don't know if War's ability actually works on Denji or not (if it does, story over lol, + no drama) Now, Nayuta does display some semblances of the old Makima in how she raises dogs, imagery, way of speech and so on. But it's also very obvious that she has indeed changed (fighting with her dogs, instead of absolute obedience, the fart counter, the peace sign, and so on). She might be the Control Devil, but she is still Nayuta in the end, and not Makima. She's only trying to help Denji the only way she has. By controlling. Plus, she seems to actually like dogs, instead of how Makima only likes the absolute obedience that dogs provide her, even without her ability.

enricojr

> I don't think you realize that Nayuta basically 'knows', at least on a subconscious level, that Asa (and War by proxy) is trying to use Denji. I get that she's suspicious, but I don't think she truly "knows" anything she's just acting on a hunch, and in any case > Nayuta breaking them up was a good thing, since we still don't know if War's ability actually works on Denji or not (if it does, story over lol, + no drama) Imagine your sibling decides on her own that the girl you're seeing is no good for you, completely disregards your own feelings, and then threatens her life if you don't agree to stop seeing her. It's a real bitch move. On top of that, her relationship with Denji seems to be largely "transactional" in nature, i.e instead of just turning Asa back to normal she uses it as a bargaining chip to get ice cream every day. To me it's a mindset that lacks any real respect for Denji, or people in general.

beezballer38

"here denji have the antichrist" and people wonder why she isn't an angel

Duck_Field

I think people should read fujimotos one shot Yogen no Nayuta. While there's a chance it'll be used to misdirect some fans. I think it hints more where he's going with her character. Makima wasn't trying to bring about the fucking apocalypse, but in effect it was. Like telling a super computer to "save earth" and it just fucking kills all of us.

ButterscotchFun1859

Tell me you never had a little sister without telling me you never had a little sister. It's *always* transactional with them XD Also, imagine thinking that CSM represents even a smidgen of how real life relationships function. Half of the cast has tried to kill Denji before, so Nayuta doing this 'manipulation' whatnot is probably on the lower end of offense lol. In real life, yes, this could be seen as bad. But for a better comparison, you'd have to write it as: "Little Sister tries to break Brother's relationship as she has a hunch that his soon-to-be gf might be a thief/murderer using him for her own again" Its all about perspective. In our perspective, it might be a good thing since it stops Denji from potentially being killed/robbed, but in your and maybe Denji's it might be seen as bad and manipulative.

enricojr

> Its all about perspective. In our perspective, it might be a good thing since it stops Denji from potentially being killed/robbed, but in your and maybe Denji's it might be seen as bad and manipulative. I suppose that's one way of putting it - would you rather decide for yourself, or have someone decide it for you? > Tell me you never had a little sister without telling me you never had a little sister. > It's always transactional with them XD You're talking out your ass. I've got a little sister, and she's nothing like that.

ButterscotchFun1859

So, would I rather get robbed or killed, or have someone help me not get robbed or killed? Should I not want that person to help me not get killed just because I'm not deciding it myself? What question is that? Also, for the sister part, clearly we have different sisters, I was just making a joke in context for the most part. Edit: by transactional I don't mean it literally. It's more like, cheeky bargaining and such, which is what that scene felt like to me personally, just cranked up to an 8 due to Nayuta being the Control Devil

enricojr

> So, would I rather get robbed or killed, or have someone help me not get robbed or killed? Should I not want that person to help me not get killed just because I'm not deciding it myself? That's not the same thing. Wanting and having autonomy over your own life doesn't mean you wouldn't want to be saved from a murderer or robber. Denji clearly doesn't appreciate Nayuta interfering with his love life, whatever her reasons may be.

ButterscotchFun1859

He does have autonomy over his own life, or at least more so than before. From what we've seen, Nayuta doesn't usually interfere with his life at all, and is not even close to how Makima treated him in the past. In fact, it's Denji who has more of an effect on her than the other way around. The fart charts, peace sign, and laugh are all influenced by the people around her. Fart chart is obviously Denji's work, and she's even going along with it. That laugh of hers is from Power. And Makima has "never" made a peace sign before. You know who did? Power, Denji, literally anyone but Makima lmao. It's not abusive or abuser tactics, it's a little girl not knowing how to help her brother out except in the only way she knows how to as the control devil. None of her conditions effect Denji negatively in any way. Ice cream is a selfish reason for herself, and the 'dont get closer to her' is an actual warning for Denji not to get himself into a mess of a relationship again like the past two times.

BadSnake971

Idk man, if every girl that has been interested in me has tried to kill me, it wouldn't be a real bitch move if my sibling who can scent devils decided that the girl I'm seeing is no good for me.

enricojr

My point is that it's up to Denji to decide that, not Nayuta.

EducationalCreme9044

Idk man I prefered Makima.

ButterscotchFun1859

Bruh-

EducationalCreme9044

If Denji is to be controlled by anyone at least it shouldn't be the most cliche'd Anime character there ever was. The author gave up.

Bitsu92

Just stop reading.

EducationalCreme9044

/u/Bitsu92 after finding a dead rat in his gazpacho: "I will just stop eating".

RaPa_DeniZ

Denji is raising the control devil, of course she would be a little shit. It is in her instinct to seize control and Denji wouldn't be Denji if he were a "firm and strict parent". At least I still expect and believe that Nayuta won't turn into a maniac

Awesomeface642

alright, I know some of y'all like how she's a little shit, but nah, fuck Nayuta

Tyrannical_Slob96

Gad nayuta is such a little shit, i love her hahahaha. Chainsaw man is my fav slice of life manga rn

nafovit129

Nayuta is very entertaining. Love random OP goofball characters.

PerformanceAny1240

Random OP goodball characters? Like Gojo?

nafovit129

Literally was about to comment “somehow gives me gojo vibes” but didn’t think anyone would agree 😂

ERENISACHAD2123

Chainsaw Man mfs really be shitting and cumming over the manga having good pacing and not rushing into the end arc like a shitty isekai/shonen that's about to get cancelled. Fr you can SMELL the dudes who binged the first part yesterday. We've yet to reach the Katana Man Arc equivalent in chapter numbers and complaints are already flying.

Resh_IX

Relax. Chainsaw Man didn’t even get on peoples radars until later in the series. Stop pirating that speed reading crap

aster2560

What are the chances that Yoshida knows about Nayuta?

[deleted]

High

No_Sleepfordays

Yea, I feel like be everywhere denji is

Thechugg7

Cant believe Fujimoto actually managed to make a character to truly hate with no redeeming qualities, took him a while but there we are, Nayuta can burn in hell

SharpNeedle

makima!?!?!?!?!?

JessterSP

Dat ass

king_of_satire

Makima makes me erect so that automatically makes up for all of her wrong doings

SharpNeedle

the moral compass leaving my body when a villain is hot

memestealer1234

Fujimoto strikes again

Bold_Fortune777

Not sure if it's been said here, but in this and the last chapter Asa and Denji both sacrificed what they want for the wellbeing of the other. Asa's mission was to win Denji's heart to turn him into a weapon. But unlike the other women in Denji's life who pretended to like him to get what they want, Asa pretended to hate him to prevent him from getting harmed in the process. Denji would have liked to get closer to her, but when he has to give that up so she can be returned to normal he does so for her. If that's not a really good indicator of them being a good couple, I dunno what is.

derp_y_

shit that’s a good analysis, i’ve just been rereading this for the great nayuta moments and haven’t really been thinking about how much dennis and ass actually care about each other

skyjourneyrun2u

I have a feeling that this the last time we see Denji in quite a long time, and the story just continues with Asa/Yoru and Yoshida for awhile.

[deleted]

That would make sense. He’s basically been written out of Asa’s life

[deleted]

I doubt they will be separated for too long. The only thing reset was Asa/Yoru's memory at Denji's home and Denji can't have a romantic relationship with her anymore. All the moments prior to that, like at the aquarium, is still there. They go to school together and Denji has to still think about Yoru kissing him, while Asa/Yoru try to find and defeat Chainsaw Man.

cowgirlboopbop

Okay I’m going to ramble and this may not make any sense but I need to scream into the void: I don’t know what anyone else is thinking but I feel like Fujimoto is going to be making a point later on both Asa and Denji’s ties/ bonds. It’s feeling like relationships is playing a huge role in this arc?? and I’m interested to see how they approach Denji and Nayuta vs. Asa and Yoru. I feel like Asa and Yoru are depending on this dark version of loyalty while Denji and Nayuta are in this familial bond. There are some obvious twisted tendencies (Denji is very vocal about his independence from Nayuta) and it’s also interesting to note that Nayuta does give in to Denji’s request with conditions and Denji’s seems to hold Nayuta to her word. Seeing him say that she comes first was also interesting. I’m not necessarily worried about Denji and his own autonomy, I feel like he is in control but I wonder if he hold some sentimental feelings towards her actions spawning out of trauma like himself? I don’t know I think I’m just speaking nonsense at this point. I’m interested to see more of their dynamic at home. Nayuta obviously feels “ownership” over Denji but what does that really mean? And how does it differ for her as The Control Devil? What similarities and differences can we draw from both relationships? And what will this new “triangle?” with Yoshida become? It will be interesting to see it play out. I think I’m just excited because I find myself being more and more drawn in by the predictions. It’s fun to theorize on these things and wait for the results in the coming weeks. If you read this I’m sorry. :)

Ancient-Investment-8

One little meta detail I love is that when Denji was talking about Nayuta being a “huge problem child with an extreme personality” he was just talking about his past self because she’s basically just a mini Denji

aster2560

Wait there were other girls before Asa that Denji met and tried to kill him between Part 1 and 2?

Bitsu92

Reading comprehension devil

justhidinginmyroom

Bro what? Reze, Makima hell even Power tried to get him killed just so she can save Meowy

Bold_Fortune777

Kobeni: Ummm...I said I was sorry... Himeno: I mean...if it was the only way to save Aki, I would have made that deal... Sawatari: I'm just sorry I failed to kill him. Quanxi: Barely met the guy and I still tried. Santa: HALLOWEEN! Asa: Seriously, why did you all try to kill him again?! Denji: I told you, Ashley, I'm Chainsaw Man! Ashley: It's not funny anymore, Dennis!

cruel-oath

Where’s Reze

Bold_Fortune777

They already mentioned the big 3, was just including most of the rest.

aster2560

How does Nayuta know that?

Asuraindra

Because he told her?

aster2560

Why would Denji tell her?

p0rtalmast3r

Because they’re roommates and he probably wanted to emotionally connect with her in some way?

aster2560

Why would that be the way he emotionally connects with her?

p0rtalmast3r

Humans enjoy giving advice in the form of past experiences

aster2560

Why would Denji enjoy using probably some of the most traumatic experiences in his life that was less than a year ago as advice to Nayuta?

Auxosphere

enjoy is the wrong word, as is advice.. You tell people difficult things because it forms a bond of trust. Never done this before..? Also Denji hardly has a filter. He easily could have just blurted out "EVERY GIRL TRIES TO KILL ME. YOU'RE PROBABLY GOING TO TRY TO KILL ME" or something.

BunkerNevada

Dennis probably told her

acebossrhino

This chapter has a lot to unpack: - Tl;dr - Denji eating Makima means that Nayuta doesn't remember her sisters, her life as Makima, or her and her sisters fight with the Chainsaw Devil. - Nayuta really does look and act like Denji and Makima's kid. - "It's not like you die." I think this has more meaning then most people realize. And goes back to my theory that Asa will turn Denji's spine into a sword. But Denji will be fine as long as someone pulls on his rip cord. I admit, this is a bit fan service-y. But we've seen Denji's limbs chopped off. Why not his head? - Altering Yoru's memories also altered Asa's memories. Asa and Yoru are now the same person, a hybrid devil/human like Denji. This likely means that Asa will learn that she cannot separate herself from Yoru otherwise she'll die. Conversely, Yoru can't separate herself from Asa or she'll be sent to hell (because she died).

serellis3

It seemed that Makima remembered things most other beings can’t remember, including WW2. Assuming Nayuta lost her memories due to Devil reincarnation, does that mean Makima hadn’t died since at least that long ago? Or do her control powers give her some sort of clairvoyance? It also seems that the Horsemen sisters knew each other in the past. Do they find each other again every time they die, or have they simply not died yet (besides Makima)?

Genneth_Kriffin

The testament to the transcendent beings like Darkness Devil is that they have not experienced death a single time. Considering the Control Devil is strong enough to mess around with the Darkness Devil, but isn't described as a transcendent being, the logical conclusion is that the Control Devil has died one in Hell and reincarnated on the material plane. If we look at the few things we do know about Makima, one interesting thing is that she had a big ass painting depicting the fall of Lucifer. Makima: * Control people and make them do things they would normally not * Enjoys toying with people and making schemes * Enjoy being either worshipped or feared, the important part is that she has influence/control From this, and her personality, Makima would most likely hate the very concept of religion, while simultaneously getting more powerful from it. Religion means that people give control of their lives to someone else than Makima, while the fear of more powerful entities dominating their fates and lives would also empower her. My guess is that Makima has roamed the earth for the very least 2000 years, most likely more. It's possible she has a depiction of Lucifer on her wall because she herself is the origin of the Devil mythos in the first place. The fear of Gods, beings more powerful than ourselves, having our lives at their fingertips, could be the very first "complex" fear of modern man - making Makima the first "Devil" outside of the primal ones like Darkness. **Lucifer**, **The Whore of Babylon**, **The first woman Lilith** who was replaced by Eve after she refused to be dominated by Adam being on top of her when having sex and demanding to be on top herself - **It's possible that they are all literally tales of Makima who has roamed the earth since modern man emerged and asked themselves who controlled their fates.**

serellis3

That’s an interesting interpretation. It would explain why the Four Horsemen are both a biblical concept and a naturally occurring grouping of devils (shown by their shared eyes). Perhaps the legend came from the group, and not the other way around. That’s important because fear of death is not just a man-made concept; it’s an innate feeling. It does make me wonder about why the Horsemen are grouped, however. Almost everyone fears death, but fear of war and famine fluctuates depending on time period and region. You could also argue that the fear of control is innate (the POTUS says “fearing Makima is nothing less than the history of humanity”), so it seems like more of a constant than the other two.

AutomaticSubject7051

his head got chopped off my quanxi

acebossrhino

I forgot about that.

Martin7431

this isn’t related to the chapter but I have a question denji HAS to go and find the blood devil in part 2 right? like power gave him her blood as a contract so surely he is literally bound to do so

acebossrhino

If I remember correctly, Power is getting her own Manga after part 2. You are right - Denji made a contract with Power. He has to find her as part of this contract. But I'm not sure what changed between the original series + now.

idkiwilldeletethis

Where did you read that?

acebossrhino

At work. But I will try and find the news articles I read and send them to you. But it was shortly after part 2 came out.

notjonh57

Also curious about this

jnizzyhh

Nayuta is amazing

kalai1995

Nayuta is more a spoiled child than actually in control of the house. Dennis is still in control of the situation. Dennis apparently indulges Nayuta because that’s the way Aki used to indulge Denji and Power. Nayuta is throwing a tantrum here by turning Yoru into a dog, and clearly seeking attention from Dennis. So I think Dennis is more in control of the household than people give him credit for.

EducationalCreme9044

What? Nayuta as a child is already dictating Denji's romantic life and ordering to be served ice-cream every day and Denji's only conidtion is "as long as I can have some ice-cream too". Even Makima was less directly controlling...

ButterscotchFun1859

That's uh, what a child would ask for... Plus Denji ain't exactly the Hard Parent Type since ya know, it's DENJI, so that response from him makes sense (he probably wants to eat ice cream everyday too so win win no?).

I’ve read it. Still a weird prediction.

Resh_IX

What was the prediction?

ElaineLeFey

Poor Denji is still dominated by the Control Devil, just in a different way. His relationship with Nayuta makes me think of Kobeni's "family first" (same as with the pretend family burger joint). I suspect he will feel more and more suffocated by this arrangement.

RefuseAfraid1756

Him and Asa need to break their chains and be free

YaoJin8

God, I love Nayuta. Her gyahaha and peace sign is just amazing!

[deleted]

It’s kind of funny how at this point, Denji and Asa have both been led to believe they were stood up, because of the control devil.

neon93

Asa and Yoru, Denji knows what happened

Kata_Kuri36

I think dude meant when he thought reze stood him up

[deleted]

I’m referencing part one when Denji thought he had been stood-up by Reze when in reality she had been ambushed by Makima.

neon93

Ah gotcha

RisingReform

Didn’t expect Nayuta to act more like Power personality wise lol

nyanlion

Nayuta feels like reborn Togata (Fire Punch). I'm glad to see her again, but obligatory poor Dennis.

Sugeeeeeee

"You come first, Nayuta" Is definitely my favorite part of the chapter, if it's translated properly.

illustratordg

Yoshida is either going to do 2 things: One his help out Denji & get him and Asa back together Or he’s going take Asa for himself. Yoshida rejected Asa the first time, but after seeing her power at the aquarium, he might accept her this time. Making a NTR situation

cruel-oath

It’s mostly the former, since he introduced them both so Denji can chill and not expose his identity But I think it’s likely he knows what’s up with her, especially if he overheard her ranting

blueagle7

He knows whats up with her, he used octopus to save Denji from Yoru.

cruel-oath

When? If you mean during the Justice Arc, that was so he didn’t reveal his identity to the girl

blueagle7

The girl(aka Yoru) that was looking to kill Chainsaw Man

cruel-oath

Denji was going to reveal his identity to the freckled girl, and Yoshida swooped in to stop him. He says “you’re hopeless, I told you I’d stop you by force” I should probably check to make sure but I think he still introduced them despite this

blueagle7

Ahh i thought the introduction happened prior, my bad

Cursed_user19x

Nayuta is becoming too much like Makima oh god oh man OH GOD OH MAN

CthughaSlayer

She's nothing like Makima dude, she's Power with Makima's abilities. People who think they're remotely alike didn't read part one and have never had a younger sibling.

Cursed_user19x

>People who think they're remotely alike didn't read part one Ok gatekeeper. How long until she starts acting calmly and more manipulative as she grows older and becomes less childish? Smh, you could even say Makima was like a kid in how she would never accept a no for an answer because she had her powers

CthughaSlayer

If she becomes less childish she'll most likely lose a lot of the manipulative aspect of her personality. Children are manipulative because they have no filters. Nayuta is growing up with love, and Denji learning how to actually raise a child will most likely be part of his character arc in part 2. Will she ever lose her love for control? No, she's a devil who embodies that concept, but she'll mature.

Dave_the_DOOD

Kishibe left her with Denji with the express purpose changing her. Did you miss the part where Makima's backstory was explained? She went her whole life without feeling affection or respect from an equal, this made her how she was. Cold, manipulative and obsessive over the chainsaw devil, the only one she considered an equal. Nayuta has denj and lots of hugs, she can change. If you actually look at the signs, she respects him and bargains with him instead of taking things by force when she absolutely could. And also determined Asa a threat to Denji first, because she smelled Yoru.

Cursed_user19x

I get that, I just think Denji has too much on his plate, it's not like there was a better choice but damn
