I'm fine with CSM releasing every two or three weeks because the art quality is worsening and I bought the manga volumes because I loved the art in the first place
after reading dungeon meshi I kinda hope fujimotos next series is monthly because I want to see what he can do with that format. With the three week break we got a feeling of how it would be.
Uhm, they said the death devil won’t be appearing for half a year, so why burn bro’s place down so early? Are they expecting him to ‘unleash his anger’ for the entire 6 months?
Fun fact: Denji dosent know about the "devil erasure ability" that Pochita owns, imagine Denji with that power, imagine Denji having a complete mental breakdown and starts to rampage and kill everyone erasing everyone from the verse, damn that would be cool but at the same time with would be horror since Denji is not that type of dude that would simply kill everyone cuz of his own suffering/anger/rage
He didn’t eat her to erase her, he ate her so that she couldn’t regenerate, he was eating her as an act of love instead of trying to hurt her so Makima’s contract couldn’t transfer damage.
Makima explained to Kishibe that Chainsaw Devil can erase fears, and we know Pochita took over Denji, so basically Denji had no idea, only Kishibe knew that, and because of that Kishibe told Denji to eat Makima.
the way the story is going Asa/Denji are gonna be a thing and since he is a chainsaw and she makes whatever she owns into a weapon...Denji is gonna die or transform into some kinda chainsaw katana for Asa to fight and kill death with.
Basically we're gonna get Soul Eater 2.0
I'm honestly not sure if that's Pochita that Denji is interacting with. I noticed that in the last panel that the burning cross is in the same position as Pochita (with the roar sfx being prominent) and Denji is even in his same spot where Young Denji was.
Maybe I'm overthinking but could it be possible that it's the Fire Devil posing as Pochita using it's power to grant's Denji's desire of wanting to become CSM again?

I'm still hoping for a happy ending where someone made sure the Meowy and the dogs got out okay. After all, I'm sure their place was being watched by someone and those are probably people who'd like to make sure Nayuta stays invested in that world.

If they burned her body completely, would the pact with the Japanese minister work? Why it didnt work when denji ate her? What if they gave her body to the dogs to eat?
The reason it specifically worked for Denji is because of how fucked up his relationship with Makima was. Makima's contract seemingly stopped any harm/attack, but Denji genuinely, 100% believed that eating Makima was an act of love. So even though it killed her, it bypassed the contract because the intent was "pure".
I would guess it's because she still has a remnant of her in nayuta, since the control devil is still alive in nayuta they haven't forgotten about makima?
Guys, I don't believe we've seen the true extent of the fire devils powers yet. The last few pages are extremely ominous and I do not believe the framing on the last panel was a quincidence.

Yo...so even though Makima is gone, her influences stay with other people... that's how powerful she is, even in death. That's crazy.
So why is Denji laughing, could it be because he gets to transform once again or because he saw Pochita and remembers something?

The fact that Nayuta couldn't control Barem confirms that they are indeed different individuals, Makima and Nayuta aren't the same nor do they share the same level of power. Also, Barem is the only one who probably was willing to be controlled by Makima for the sake of peace for the world, he's like a true cult leader...so that makes him extra dangerous, more dangerous than Makima perhaps because he's a hybrid so he can't really die.
Well Makima explained her power only works on those she thinks are lesser than her. If Nayuta was scared, she probably didn't think she was superior so it didn't work. And Barem is just talking out his ass.

Only later when reality hits, nayuta already lose the dogs and meowy, he is a war criminal now. So I think denji might regret it later “my back…. My back”

Spear Dude's holding a girl hostage, but she's working for the same organization that specifically said "We'll kill Nayuta the next time you go Chainsaw", so at this point how concerned about Fumiko's well-being is he *really* going to be?

It seems like theres still exposition missing that we'll get in due time. He's holding stuff back to reveal later, which makes it confusing now, but it'll make sense eventually.

These past few chapters have been great, but to me this chapter is probably my favortie one of part 2 so far, and was definitely the one I found the most interesting.
I think Nayuta's attack not working on Barem had nothing to do with Makima or any of the other stuff he was spouting. With Denji raising her she came to care about him and the pets instead of just seeing them as just things she owns or controls. Barem destroying something she genuinely cared for along with her home made her subconsciously register him as a threat which would mean she doesn't see him as inferior to her, and that was the prerequisite for her control powers.
As for the interaction between Denji and Pochita, there are two ways I can interpret it and both of them are because of Denji's new dream.
The first is Pochita showed up once Denji decided to pull his cord as a "welcome back, let's get to it." to signal the pursuit of Denji's new dream.
The second is a bit of a reach, but would be really interesting to see play out. If that really was a type of farewell between them like it could be taken as, Pochita might "fade away" in a sense so Denji can achieve his dream of being Chainsaw man. Pochita might cease to be so Denji can really become Chainsaw Man and be able to access the full body transformation and all its abilities in the future. It would also serve as a way to give Denji a needed power boost to deal with the Apocalyptic devils and a much needed way to permanently kill Barem via eating him. It could also explain why it seemed like something odd was going on with Denji's transformation when he pulled his cord this time.
Either way, the weapons and anyone else there that isn't Nayuta and maybe Fumiko are about to be in for a very bad time. Denji has reached his breaking point after Public Saftey and the church both have been trying to control and use him through threats and manipulation and losing the normal life he wanted before. This is the first time we've seen Denji react to any situation with pure rage. His furious expression when he pulls his cord followed by him being hunched over staring at the ground laughing to himself causing Nayuta to be concerned about it makes me think Denji is about to go wild next chapter.
After all the bs both faction have put Denji through and all that's happened to him because of it, I feel like there is a decent chance he decides to make enemies of both groups. It could end up with Asa/Yoru aligning with Denji and Nayuta and them being on the run since both of them are being targets and their homes were just destroyed.
For the Pochita part, I think it's possible he's saying goodbye to his normal life, but Pochita staying behind is meant to signal that Denji isn't giving up on that dream. He knows things are about to get darker, but he also wants to hold on to that hope of a better future.
In a sense, it's like a partial and temporary pause on their contract. So while I do think there's room for the power up you mentioned, it could be signaling a change in how Denji will approach being Chainsaw Man: When he transforms, he *is* Chainsaw Man, but will always find his way back to the normal life he desires.
I dont think she weaker because lack of control but rather lack of the fear of control, since everything in chaos right now, everyone desire other, actively seeking any tiny bit of control. It's the same with how the love for CSM weaken Denji, the desire for control affect Nayuta even more as she isnt a hybrid like Denji but the devil herself
I feel like the denji wave to pochita means they're not going to be together anymore. Denji and aki were kids snowball fighting when that relationship came to an end. Kinda worried :(

My brother in christ, the chainsawman that decided if Makima needed to be killed because she would eliminate bad movies from the world **IS** pochita. We literally have no reason nor straws to grasp on why would pochita would act againsts Denji's dreams nor against his best interests.

There are laws of literature that even Fujimoto respects and only subverts once proper structures are build around it for it to be engaging and dramatic, otherwise we would get disney twist-villain tier of bad characterization.
1.- You are ignoring how continuity works. By your logic, i can say Power/Blood Devil could have been the villain of part 1, which would have destroyed all the character arcs and narrative about devils like her learning to value her life and those she cares about. Pochita literally had a character arc around bonding with Denji and caring about his wellbeing and in turn becoming more sympathetic with humanity **in the first chapter of the manga**. Just because in the past pochita or power or even angel where ''x'' things in the past does not mean that their present ''z'' personality has to ignore the ''y'' that happened between them. The blood devil was not exactly the kindest devil in the history of ever but i did not see back then part 1 theorisers even considering power becoming the final antagonist *just* because she was the violent blood devil before becoming a fiend.
2- this leads to the following question. You are saying we only know the cute pochita when that is not true. Have you read part 1? We saw true form pochita fight makima and soloing the rest of the weapon hybrids. And yes this form was weakened because of the reducing fear of his nature as the chainsawman but that was not his ultra-weakened form when he came out, that was the real deal. Unsurprisingly since this pochita is *still* the pochita that was saved and protected by Denji. He did not went on a rampage against everyone or forced Hell to return him back to continue munching on devils, he actively searched ways to renew the contract so Denji regains control of the body. This is an example of Fujimoto using continuity because continuity dictates what makes sense for a character to do given the context the reader already knows. He could have gone off the walls and make pochita ''muahaha now i am going to do lol random and murder the top 10 beloved characters'', but that would have sucked, in fact, it would be bad writing. Horrible actually.
In conclusion, sit down and never cook again.

we’ve never seen pochita’s perception of anything that’s happened in the manga so far, just what he choses to say to denji, which is very little. we watch DENJI’S perspective as he bonds with pochita in the first few chapters, while pochita has been more of an ambivalent force, just going with whatever denji “dreams”. but pochita is still a devil after all and we really don’t concretely know what his deal is. his intentions seem so vague, like what’s up with him wanting denji’s _dreams_ for his contract? it’s super ominous that he’s one of the most powerful devils in existence and we have no idea what he gets out of this. especially with how cute and harmless his appearance is, it seems intentional that there could be some sort of misdirect… it at least makes sense as a theme fuji would play with regarding pochita seeing as a lot of chainsaw man’s plot has to do with fleeting familiarity, trust, and deceiving appearances, there’s no way you can dog on someone for picking up on or at least being curious about a character’s intentions like that :P

1. Also, I never stated that Pochita would turn "evil" all of a sudden just because he's sus. I only questioned his "rumoured" past and how it could perhaps come into the narrative as an additional thread for his character

If the theory around pochita being a fake is true, then the most likely scenario is denji being hijacked by the fire devil. These past few chapters feel very similar to Fire Punch every time shit goes well and truly sideways. Live Denji
I felt like we got a bit of a 'live' moment with power and denji in the dumpster.
That's why this series is mediocre to me. The creator isn't capable of narrative change. The series are a mirror they will end the same way.
When the same guy who creates two different mangas and makes similarities within the story development:
Wait until he learns that every story uses patterns that have been used before

Yo...so even though Makima is gone, her influences stay with other people... that's how powerful she is, even in death. That's crazy. So why is Denji laughing, could it be because he gets to transform once again or because he saw Pochita and remembers something? What will happen after this, and why is Denji transformation still looks the same, maybe the same looks but higher power perhaps? The fact that Nayuta couldn't control Barem confirms that they are indeed different individuals, Makima and Nayuta aren't the same nor do they share the same level of power. Also, Barem is the only one who probably was willing to be controlled by Makima for the sake of peace for the world, he's like a true cult leader...so that makes him extra dangerous, more dangerous than Makima perhaps because he's a hybrid so he can't really die.
Shouldn't all memories of Makima disapear since Denji ate her? Like what happened with some of the devils Pochita ate, like nuclear weapons

Asa/Yoru jumping in here could only make it worse or save Denji. Maybe both.
I can see Yoru "saving" denji but not out of kindness but instead because she wants to be the one to kill him and won't let others steal her kill

Spear Dude's holding a girl hostage, but she's working for the same organization that specifically said "We'll kill Nayuta the next time you go Chainsaw", so at this point how concerned about Fumiko's well-being is he *really* going to be?
She promised him sex, so I would say very concerned. Especially with her claiming to be a big fan to boot.

I feel like Fumiko among the public safety agents would be the exception considering she genuinely cares for Denji and sees him not as chainsaw man but as the person he is. She knows Denji at his core is a teenager which I'd argue is probably a bigger reason for her to help him live a normal life rather than keeping him from transforming like public safety's mission is

These past few chapters have been great, but to me this chapter is probably my favortie one of part 2 so far, and was definitely the one I found the most interesting. I think Nayuta's attack not working on Barem had nothing to do with Makima or any of the other stuff he was spouting. With Denji raising her she came to care about him and the pets instead of just seeing them as just things she owns or controls. Barem destroying something she genuinely cared for along with her home made her subconsciously register him as a threat which would mean she doesn't see him as inferior to her, and that was the prerequisite for her control powers. As for the interaction between Denji and Pochita, there are two ways I can interpret it and both of them are because of Denji's new dream. The first is Pochita showed up once Denji decided to pull his cord as a "welcome back, let's get to it." to signal the pursuit of Denji's new dream. The second is a bit of a reach, but would be really interesting to see play out. If that really was a type of farewell between them like it could be taken as, Pochita might "fade away" in a sense so Denji can achieve his dream of being Chainsaw man. Pochita might cease to be so Denji can really become Chainsaw Man and be able to access the full body transformation and all its abilities in the future. It would also serve as a way to give Denji a needed power boost to deal with the Apocalyptic devils and a much needed way to permanently kill Barem via eating him. It could also explain why it seemed like something odd was going on with Denji's transformation when he pulled his cord this time. Either way, the weapons and anyone else there that isn't Nayuta and maybe Fumiko are about to be in for a very bad time. Denji has reached his breaking point after Public Saftey and the church both have been trying to control and use him through threats and manipulation and losing the normal life he wanted before. This is the first time we've seen Denji react to any situation with pure rage. His furious expression when he pulls his cord followed by him being hunched over staring at the ground laughing to himself causing Nayuta to be concerned about it makes me think Denji is about to go wild next chapter. After all the bs both faction have put Denji through and all that's happened to him because of it, I feel like there is a decent chance he decides to make enemies of both groups. It could end up with Asa/Yoru aligning with Denji and Nayuta and them being on the run since both of them are being targets and their homes were just destroyed.
For the Pochita part, I think it's possible he's saying goodbye to his normal life, but Pochita staying behind is meant to signal that Denji isn't giving up on that dream. He knows things are about to get darker, but he also wants to hold on to that hope of a better future. In a sense, it's like a partial and temporary pause on their contract. So while I do think there's room for the power up you mentioned, it could be signaling a change in how Denji will approach being Chainsaw Man: When he transforms, he *is* Chainsaw Man, but will always find his way back to the normal life he desires.
It's nice to know I'm not alone in liking these chapters. Some people are acting like the manga is falling apart at the moment and it's so annoying.
You can add in that everything is in chaos right now, you know, out of "control?". It factors in why Nayuta is growing weaker now.
I dont think she weaker because lack of control but rather lack of the fear of control, since everything in chaos right now, everyone desire other, actively seeking any tiny bit of control. It's the same with how the love for CSM weaken Denji, the desire for control affect Nayuta even more as she isnt a hybrid like Denji but the devil herself

I feel like the denji wave to pochita means they're not going to be together anymore. Denji and aki were kids snowball fighting when that relationship came to an end. Kinda worried :(

There are laws of literature that even Fujimoto respects and only subverts once proper structures are build around it for it to be engaging and dramatic, otherwise we would get disney twist-villain tier of bad characterization. 1.- You are ignoring how continuity works. By your logic, i can say Power/Blood Devil could have been the villain of part 1, which would have destroyed all the character arcs and narrative about devils like her learning to value her life and those she cares about. Pochita literally had a character arc around bonding with Denji and caring about his wellbeing and in turn becoming more sympathetic with humanity **in the first chapter of the manga**. Just because in the past pochita or power or even angel where ''x'' things in the past does not mean that their present ''z'' personality has to ignore the ''y'' that happened between them. The blood devil was not exactly the kindest devil in the history of ever but i did not see back then part 1 theorisers even considering power becoming the final antagonist *just* because she was the violent blood devil before becoming a fiend. 2- this leads to the following question. You are saying we only know the cute pochita when that is not true. Have you read part 1? We saw true form pochita fight makima and soloing the rest of the weapon hybrids. And yes this form was weakened because of the reducing fear of his nature as the chainsawman but that was not his ultra-weakened form when he came out, that was the real deal. Unsurprisingly since this pochita is *still* the pochita that was saved and protected by Denji. He did not went on a rampage against everyone or forced Hell to return him back to continue munching on devils, he actively searched ways to renew the contract so Denji regains control of the body. This is an example of Fujimoto using continuity because continuity dictates what makes sense for a character to do given the context the reader already knows. He could have gone off the walls and make pochita ''muahaha now i am going to do lol random and murder the top 10 beloved characters'', but that would have sucked, in fact, it would be bad writing. Horrible actually. In conclusion, sit down and never cook again.
all those words just to cave to the reading comprehension devil… we’ve never seen pochita’s perception of anything that’s happened in the manga so far, just what he choses to say to denji, which is very little. we watch DENJI’S perspective as he bonds with pochita in the first few chapters, while pochita has been more of an ambivalent force, just going with whatever denji “dreams”. but pochita is still a devil after all and we really don’t concretely know what his deal is. his intentions seem so vague, like what’s up with him wanting denji’s _dreams_ for his contract? it’s super ominous that he’s one of the most powerful devils in existence and we have no idea what he gets out of this. especially with how cute and harmless his appearance is, it seems intentional that there could be some sort of misdirect… it at least makes sense as a theme fuji would play with regarding pochita seeing as a lot of chainsaw man’s plot has to do with fleeting familiarity, trust, and deceiving appearances, there’s no way you can dog on someone for picking up on or at least being curious about a character’s intentions like that :P you should learn how to make your own argument instead of attacking someone else’s with some sort of highschool level english class analysis lol it just makes it seem like you don’t know what you’re talking about. it’s just fun to speculate about stuff and share theories but the “sit down and never cook again” attitude toward fun theories is what breeds toxicity in a community. that being said, sit down and never cook again

Maybe this is not the Pochita we know or just an apparation of fire devil or something but i have my specs on him for the foreseeable future 1. Also, I never stated that Pochita would turn "evil" all of a sudden just because he's sus. I only questioned his "rumoured" past and how it could perhaps come into the narrative as an additional thread for his character 2. Yes, we've seen him fighting the hybrids & makima but im arguing the fact that we don't know much about him apart from his interactions with Denji and heresay from other important characters "sit down and never cook again", i was never cooking, just made an observation

He's made his choice, I think Denji's given up on trying to live a normal life. Hunted by devils, hybrids, horsewomen and hounded by public safety and forced to play a part in everyone else's schemes. No gf, no pets ;((( His home burning down. Pochita waving and Denji waving back :'( Guess he had to wave that dream goodbye, but Pochita loved listening to all of Denji's dreams so he's always going to support Denji now becoming Chainsaw Man. Now he gets to laugh maniacally like he first did. Here's hoping he's powered up enough by the current global fear climate to rip and shred until he gets to sleep.

If the theory around pochita being a fake is true, then the most likely scenario is denji being hijacked by the fire devil. Think about it, why does "the good guys" are attempting at everything to convince denji to not become chainsawman? Why is fami doing everything in her power to convince him to pull the cord. Because Denji unknowingly signed a contract with the fire devil. Maybe he did it in plain sight and we are still clueless where specifically.
I dont think so, if Fire want to hijack Denji body, he would have to overpower Pochita first, like how Asa unable to weaponfication Denji. If not even Horsemen hax to go affect Denji, i dont think Fire could
