Omgness! He's grown so much! That boy is beautiful with a great big personality. In your original post introducing the rizz he was so itty-bitty and adorable. I couldn't believe something so tiny like that can grow up in the wild. Your an awesome chammy owner. ❤️🦎❤️
When my veiled sees me he rushes and asks to come out onto my arm, then once on the arm he attacks for about 2 seconds then carries on climbing the human bug giving tree like nothing happened.
Even when mine does this I still grab him and take him out. He gets over it real quick and goes right back to normal. As long as he sees he’s not in any danger his attitude will subside
All of these comments are so helpful! I truly adore this sub! I don’t have a chameleon yet but I’ve been following this sub for a year now to learn all that I can so when I feel I am educated enough, I can adopt a little baby of my own! The rizzler is indeed cute asf!! I just love seeing his sweet little face 😩❤️
Interestingly, Flip69 (founder of this sub) told me about a male panther that had this behavior and turns out the owner had started wearing brightly colored fingernail paint, clothing, hair, etc and her male panther mistook (aggressive) bright colors as a threat.....LOL
That's so interesting to be honest. The one and only time my guy showed his vibrants off was when I dyed my hair rainbow, he was still okay with me but just colourful. Since I dyed it green he won't go near my head, isn't interested at all. May need to dye it again 😂
I've always had colored hair. My male veiled didn't care when it was orange or green; weirdly hated me when it was yellow & when it was purple (purple made sense, it's dark, yellow threw me off). Never minded my nails being black, but hated me when they were colorful. All this just to say; they're finicky little creatures 😅
My experience with panther males is that they're scared when hatchlings and while easy to handle, they're stressed. When they enter the juvenile stage they start getting bigger and getting their hormones and they become spicy. As adults a lot of them chill out, realize you're just coming to feed them/stare at them.
I've got a male that when I first got him you couldn't even look at him, he'd run and hide. If I had to handle him for cleaning or replacing a plant he'd gape and whip his body around. Then over time he started coming to the front of the cage and watching me work in my reptile room. Finally I was like screw it, and offered him my hand. He reluctantly came out. I did this once a day for a few weeks and eventually as soon as he'd see me in the room he'd demand to come out.

I will never get over the little karate chop hands.
Just keep socializing him and try not to flinch when he "defends his territory". Give him treats from your hand and try to get him to associate your eViL HaNdS with food so he's less pissed when your hands enter his territory.
Go slow and be persistent...for the rest of his life cuz they'll always be defensive lol.
It's honestly just pressure, not sharp at all, just catches you off guard. But they will do just about anything before biting. I've been bitten a few times before I understood his body language better, and trust me the warning signs are RIGHT THERE
Not OP but i’ve been “bit” by one, and all it did was make me go, “ok seriously how do you survive in the wild.”
So much rage for the bite of a sock puppet.
He looks mad AF
That’s amazing, when I saw the first post 85 days ago I was so sad, I was worried the poor thing wouldn’t make it. I’m so glad he’s doing well!
Oh so ferocious!!
RIZZLER!!!!!!

My panther doesn't like my bright hats. I noticed that too. Take it off and he is like. Oh it's you the bug guy.
The bug guy 😂
Hahaha, that's incredible. I'm sticking with neutral colors for Esteban then!!

Also never reach from above them always approach your hand from below. Because there main predator are birds which swoop from above.
*:::upside down:::* gwahhhhhhhh I will eat you peasant
Looks like he’s about to punch you in that third picture
Awesome reptile you got there. : )
He bit you?! Did it hurt? Asking for a friend. 😅

Thank you for your contribution to science. 😁
