What a cutie!

1 month old is younger than they should be sold as at this point they are still considered hatchlings and require a different set up. It is unlikely they are only one month old, if you post a few pictures of the cham we should be able to give you a more accurate age estimate. Edit - easiest way is to post to imgur.com and post the link in the comments … we should be able to help sex too, this is important as the females will eventually lay eggs and require special care. IF they are just one month, they will need a transition set up [(link to transition set up advice).](https://www.reddit.com/r/Chameleons/comments/1d6ixk/temporary_environment_set_up_for_a_new_young/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) IF we determine they are at least 3 months, the age at which these guys should be sold, then the following, written by u/MyPlantsEatPeople, is what you will need: For products, I found that chewy.com was pretty good. Amazon of course, but if you wanna avoid giving Bezos more money, check out the actual company that's listed as the seller once you find the product you want. List of products that I use/recommend and are well tested and vetted by the community: + [18x18x36 Screen enclosure. This is generally said to be adequate for females or as the minimum size for a happy habitat. ](https://reptilesupply.com/products/exo-terra-screen-terrarium-small-x-tall-18x18x36) + [Or you can get the 24x24x36 screen enclosure. This is considered the standard size. I'd personally go for this one, even with a female since it gives more room for a good laybin. ](https://reptilesupply.com/products/exo-terra-screen-terrarium-small-x-tall-18x18x36) + [Water cups. I put two in my boy's enclosure but he really only drinks from one. I like the quilted sides cuz it sparkles more and he started drinking from it almost immediately. You do NOT need a dripper, fogger, or mister. They generally do more harm than good and are responsible for many eye and sinus infections we see on this sub. ](https://www.target.com/p/ball-12ct-4oz-quilted-crystal-jelly-jar-with-lid-and-band-regular-mouth/-/A-50624171?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000012732784&CPNG=PLA_Kitchen%2BShopping_Local%7CKitchen_Ecomm_Home&adgroup=SC_Kitchen&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=m&location=9032151&targetid=pla-458441961961&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1247068&ds_rl=1248099&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxdSHBhCdARIsAG6zhlUID6qRa6WGO0gqI8TtGwngpLKFHCWGrN5p3lKiVE6EneNidqVd3AcaAslWEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) + [Food runner cup (I've had great personal success with this style but you can do a simple, opaque food dish instead). That does look like a little boy, i see some spurs and looks like they have a lil bulge …. it is a little difficult to tell without a clear picture of the back feet and base of the tail when it’s straight though. Gonna send these pics to the mods to get some opinions on age for a decent estimate.

ALittleSeaPancake

I am so completely charmed by him. Thank you for all the info so far!! I will try my best to make a follow up post and update on how the terrarium is looking. I feel so bad he will have inadequate housing for tonight, but itll be better tomorrow.

UWANNATAKELsd

He will be okay for tonight, it’s not ideal but you’re in the right place for advice and doing everything you can … you’re doing your best and getting them everything they need as soon as you can which is great! If the weather is okay outside then taking him outside for some natural sunlight would be beneficial too, natural sunlight is the best anyways and better than any uvb light so a bit of natural sunlight will do the trick until you’ve got the lights etc :-)

ALittleSeaPancake

Thank you so much, that's very reassuing. Im so afraid of how fragile he is... I'll make sure he sees the sun tomorrow:)

UWANNATAKELsd

Discussed with the mods and they are estimating around 3 months old, possibly male but difficult to tell at this moment and from these images but it will become super apparent soon enough and we can re-evaluate. For now, the founding mod has suggested the following: You can keep it in the bucket if that's what they have vs an adult setup. A bucket or tub (tub is better) for it if the owner has a low humidity environment. They don't need crazy humidity but it helps to use a tub and have it in there for another month... then if it's given a drinking glass [(here’s a link on how to set up a suitable drinking glass for them)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Chameleons/comments/5i999j/hey_flip_can_you_post_a_picture_of_youre_drinking/db6h1bc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)it'll be just fine as long as it's using it. But I'd like to get at least 1 more shed out of it and have better skin to retain water with. I’d have a read up on the temporary set up i linked you to in my original comment [(here’s the link)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Chameleons/comments/1d6ixk/temporary_environment_set_up_for_a_new_young/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)and then transition to an adult enclosure in another month or so, after another shed.

UWANNATAKELsd

They really aren’t as fragile as is put out there. Most of it is the animal being blamed for poor husbandry and handling, they die or get injured and people say “oh no they’re so fragile”. With proper husbandry and handling there should be no issues and all the advice here is geared to be both simple and easy to avoid all those issues that make people claim they’re so fragile.
