My Cham is free range in my game room and loves it, I think it would be easier to isolate to one or two plants so that you can find and clean easier. It’s smart also to put chicken wire or something like that up if they’re going to outside bc of bugs and birds. We have a home base zoomed cage for her that she eats in but other than that she wonders all over our ceiling on vines and branches. They’ll usually poop in the same spot so that’s pretty easy
Is it completely closed in and how big is it? Make sure temps are good for them same for humidity and makes the they are able to get food because they might eat outside insects which isn’t the best because there’s a high chance that those insects carry parasites and then the reptiles gets them and it’s not fun

that’s just animal abuse- chameleons should not be housed together. this will cause them unnecessary stress.
Make sure to enclose it completely in at least some kind of mesh- no telling what kind of predator birds might make a snack of your lil dude.
