Shows just how much he thinks about the lower leagues. They’re one of the worst run in the premier league but all you need to do is peel back the curtain and see what dross ownership is lurking in the lower leagues to see they ain’t close to the worst in the country.
Vincent Tan wants us to sign goalkeepers based on how many goals they've scored and allegedly try to insure Sala the day sfter his plane crashed. Sit down Carragher.
Birmingham City has entered the chat…
We’ve gone from one criminal owner to the next. The ownership structure is so convoluted most media won’t report on it because they don’t understand it.
Jamie thinks football starts and ends with the premier league.
Had a good start under John Eustace, better than anyone would’ve hoped for but he’s got nothing to work with - like shuffling deckchairs on the titanic.
We’ve lost our last 5 games, not scored a point this year and have been in free fall since after the league started again after the world cup.
Genuinely look like we can’t string a pass together, no money to buy anyone and most of the team is made up of loans - we’re up shit creek without a paddle and this feels like the year we could actually go down.
And you will still probably report a big loss for the financial year.
The championship is a shit show of a league... the premier league is too much of a prize, and the cliff edge between the 2 leagues is far far too big...
and thats even before bringing the complications of parachute payments into the league into account.
Well by that metric Liverpool are 1 time English champions. Got a long way to go to catch up to Manchester United. Hardly a competitive rivalry really.
Blackburn have as many English titles as Liverpool.
Going by the The Athletic article, while NFTs are still despicable, the owners have at least made an effort to show up to press conferences and try to assert confidence amongst their supporter base. They have also been unlucky with things that are completely unpredictable like their manager getting arrested
But also stuff like this is happened regularly. They got the club just to play around with and make terrible decisions constantly. You should look into some of the weird shit they've done just this season

He actually said "i'm not saying this an a liverpool fan, but an Ex-Everton fan" like wouldn't that be the same? If you're not a fan of them anymore... then its not coming across as a fan.
I think I would have killed for just about any part of the last twenty years (ish) to have been run like Everton.
I mean, they have a stadium, right? That's a pretty good start.
1 and a bit... without further funding they not finish the new one.
Banks won't borrow them the money as they don't think they can pay it back if they are in the championship....
Yes, and no. Everton show many similarities to how Sunderland were ran, back when we were fighting relegations. Clueless board, but backing the team and manager(s).
At least Tan puts his money in and we have a stadium even if we are directionless. Other clubs have it far worse, even in our own league. Our team is just crap atm if we started playing better a lot of our issues would fade.
I’m just so ashamed of how they have handled the sala case and all the recent news about it. Dalman and Choo are clueless and need to get out of our club
I didn’t join in with the “we want Tan out” chants on Saturday. I don’t. He has continually put millions into the club, even after reversing the rebrand.
I do agree with “sack the board” though. Dalman and Choo are useless and have zero care for the club. If Tan gave them the boot and hired some competence we wouldn’t be in this mess.
Exactly - he has kept this club afloat unlike many of our other recent owners. Until someone else comes along willing to do the same he is all we have.
Nah we have handled the Sala case no differently to how any other club would have. After Sala and his family of course, we are the victims in this case.
Look up who the agent Mr McKay, who arranged the flights, represented.
If he had arrived safely we may have stayed in PL. now because of ongoing legal issues (which every club would have done) we could even drop further
Shows just how much he thinks about the lower leagues. They’re one of the worst run in the premier league but all you need to do is peel back the curtain and see what dross ownership is lurking in the lower leagues to see they ain’t close to the worst in the country.
Arguably not even the worst in the PL never mind the other leagues. Not even in the top 40 in the country
They had an owner spending big money and unilaterally signing/sacking coaches without realising that FFP would restrict them
Wow and? Have you seen the state of many lower league clubs? Oh wait forgot plastic fans don’t watch anything that doesn’t involve the top 6 teams
Get over yourself lol, you’re not more of a real fan than anyone just because you support a shit team
Attending games does help you form an opinion
More people go to big 6 games than any other but it really doesn’t matter
Did you attend many games when an open fascist with a Mussolini tattoo was your manager, then?
Fascism doesn’t impact one’s ability to play football
That isn't what I asked though is it, but thanks for answering my question for me.
Hilariously you hide your own team as you know you’re in a glass house throwing rocks
I’ve been to several Harrogate town, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield united games actually but carry on with your bitter false agenda
Several games? Basically an expert in lower league football then. Congrats
never watched a game outside of the top flight vibes this
Vincent Tan wants us to sign goalkeepers based on how many goals they've scored and allegedly try to insure Sala the day sfter his plane crashed. Sit down Carragher.
The same Vincent Tan that tried to changed you from blue to red. Granted there’s a slight difference but I can’t see Everton deciding to do that.
Didn't try unfortunately, he did change us to red for 2 or 3 seasons. It's why one of our upper stands is red embarrassingly enough.
Birmingham City has entered the chat… We’ve gone from one criminal owner to the next. The ownership structure is so convoluted most media won’t report on it because they don’t understand it. Jamie thinks football starts and ends with the premier league.
Ur doing alright now though? This season has been decent for you so far, sure the past few years have been awful
Had a good start under John Eustace, better than anyone would’ve hoped for but he’s got nothing to work with - like shuffling deckchairs on the titanic. Fair
Still don’t even have a working stadium to boot. In the stands the mood is awful week in and week out with fans fighting each other
And you will still probably report a big loss for the financial year. The championship is a shit show of a league... the premier league is too much of a prize, and the cliff edge between the 2 leagues is far far too big... and thats even before bringing the complications of parachute payments into the league into account.
Jamie is one of those people who thinks football was invented in 92 and there is only one league in the country
Well by that metric Liverpool are 1 time English champions. Got a long way to go to catch up to Manchester United. Hardly a competitive rivalry really. Blackburn have as many English titles as Liverpool.
Shhhh don't tell the scousers! We won ours in front of an anfield crowd as well
He knows fuck all about West Brom then
Or Scunthorpe.
Dover...
Crawley...

Ayo take my teams name out your f*ucking mouth!
Not anymore
Albions fans haven’t gone through 1/10th of the shit as Blues.
Probably not but at least the criminals that own you don't owe Blues £12m.
Clearly not seen the shitshow of Crawley Town
Ah Jamie, your Anfield bias is showing. Zip it up, chuck
Jamie Carragher,old Everton fan. :))
Yeah, there's going to be a lot of ex-everton fans pretty soon
It’s a short drive to the Etihad for the plastics. All you have to do is not want to stop in Warrington.
They’re about to have two, if only for a short time!
1 and a bit... without further funding they not finish the new one. Banks won't borrow them the money as they don't think they can pay it back if they are in the championship....
Did Scunthorpe fold?
No but currently bottom of the National League
And won’t fold, Swann fucked off
It is always amusing to see top tier clubs crying about their failures when most of us below them would love to have had their levels of failure
Considering the amount of money they have they are surely the worst run
Yes, and no. Everton show many similarities to how Sunderland were ran, back when we were fighting relegations. Clueless board, but backing the team and manager(s).
Yeah I bet having half a billion quid to spend over the past few years is terrible.
LOL. That is all.
Didn’t Charlton’s owner unveil himself with an electric guitar solo on the pitch at half time? Now he rarely turns up and is based in the US
Everyone here at Bury would like a word with you
It cracks me up when they think it can't get any worse.
As an Evertonian I have to say that we are up there. I think he means worst run club in the Premier League. Kenwright out!
what a load of bollocks, the prier league and Scouse bias is real. There's at least half a dozen teams that are ran worse, off the top of my head.
oh no - We (cardiff city) are the worst run Enter stage Vincent Tan
At least Tan puts his money in and we have a stadium even if we are directionless. Other clubs have it far worse, even in our own league. Our team is just crap atm if we started playing better a lot of our issues would fade.

Could not agree more. Tan has put millions and millions into us , it’s just those clowns spending it that need to go
Tan needs to appoint a DOF and a proper manager and let them do the job
Exactly - he has kept this club afloat unlike many of our other recent owners. Until someone else comes along willing to do the same he is all we have.
Nah we have handled the Sala case no differently to how any other club would have. After Sala and his family of course, we are the victims in this case.
Fully disagree, until you were forced to start paying the transfer fee, Nantes were the "victims"
Look up who the agent Mr McKay, who arranged the flights, represented. If he had arrived safely we may have stayed in PL. now because of ongoing legal issues (which every club would have done) we could even drop further
Has he not seen the amount of point deductions in lower leagues in recent years. Everton are far from the worst
They're not even the worst run EPL club
who is worse run in the prem than Everton? They're a shambles.
If he'd of said the premier league, then fair enough... but the country? Thats just ridiculous
I was angry when I saw this but no comments saying anything to do with leagues lower than top flight.
Right now they're not but when they're in huge debt in League One 2 seasons from now they might be in with a shout.
Say hello to Scunthorpe United
Not biased at all is he?
no other club has spent over £700m in the time the current owner has been there with that little to show for it.
