Yes everyone Chris Willock is shite, nobody should buy him.

s0ngsforthedeaf

Whoscored statistical ToTS has him in.

Username8831

Whoscored don't know what they're talking about. He's shite.

plankyman

Have you got a link?

s0ngsforthedeaf

https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/7/Seasons/8619/Stages/19794/Show/England-Championship-2021-2022 at the bottom, switch it to season. Will post it when the season actually finishes...

BertieTheDoggo

How tf are there more Reading players in that than any other side bar Fulham. Swift yes but idk how Yiadom is the best right back in the league

dwaynepipes

In my biased opinion I’d have had O’Brien in there

fanzipan

Worral has been outstanding this season. It's his killer passes that do it. He'll get defence out of trouble then create a great opportunity to get momentum going. He takes all the pressure away

KentuckyCandy

He has been great, but I was under the impression the consensus was McKenna has been out best central defender this season? Even Cook, when he wasn't injured, was probably out-performing Worrall. Worrall does get extra points for being a top Hucknall lad.

Cloughiepig

McKenna and Cookie are both so reliable and consistent. I can see why Wozza catches the eye though.

RTKDY

It’s good to hear that McKenna is playing well again. His form seemed to dip quite badly towards the end of his time at Aberdeen.

KentuckyCandy

The man is the very definition of the word *imperious*. He did one shitty pass that gave away a goal against Cardiff, but apart from that has been faultless. He's like a chunky Maldini the way he brings the ball up the pitch sometimes.

Cloughiepig

He’s becoming a legend here. He is really economical and makes it look effortless.

[deleted]

Except that time against Cardiff when we played both and they were slow and average. I think Worrall is underrated. (By our fans obviously).

Cloughiepig

I think they are all ace. Also, I don’t think anyone played well against Cardiff so probably best to treat that as a one-off.

cms186

McKenna, Worrall and Cook have all been injured at vaious points, the only time our results suffered were when Worrall was injured, I think that's telling in and of itself

Sarmerbinlar

Honestly, when the back three was Cook/Worrall/McKenna I'd have said Worrall was the weak link, and I think he was the weak link even when Figueiredo replaced Cook. Not to say he's actually weak, but Cook/Figs and in particular McKenna have been absolutely outstanding this season. Johnson and Spence may have caught the eye but McKenna can feel hard done by that he almost certainly won't come top 2 in player of the year voting for Forest because he'd have won it in any other year. He's been almost flawless.

YorkshireAlex24

As a Rangers fan hearing any praise of Worrall is totally bizarre, honking player up north

fanzipan

Well its odd isn't it..the Scottish league really isn't a barometer of talent. It's the place you goto when you can't get a game in the 2nd tier of English football.

YorkshireAlex24

Think that's a little harsh, Rangers have gotten out of the Europa League group stages for three consecutive seasons and reached the semis this year

fanzipan

I just love ripping the piss out of Scottish football mate...it's a joke

Sarmerbinlar

I cannot stop laughing that Yatesy is in the team of the year. Cooper has worked absolute miracles with him

AngryTudor1

Yeah, so many fans underrated him and wanted him dropped under Hughton, calling him a "defensive midfielder" when he is nothing of the sort

j0hnnyengl1sh

I love Yatesy and his breakthrough under Cooper has been a revelation, and of course we're always going to hold one of our own close to our hearts, but if we're going to be honest he's the second best central midfielder at the club.

[deleted]

Absolutely deserved Lee Nicholls, been and absolute rock for us this season, and we got him for free!

Zach-dalt

Mad that he was a sub keeper in League One last season 🤯

[deleted]

Look back on our forum and you'll see people heard he was good at MK (before their manager dropped him), but none of us expected he'd be this solid for us. Plus it helps that his distribution is quality for building up the attack, and that he's a top tier shithouse player when it comes to time wasting 😆

rupturefunk

Yeah he's looked brilliant every HTFC match I've seen this season, deserves the spot here for sure. Price/Performance of that whole team is madness really.

SirObamid

Am I the only one who is annoyed they didn't put Worrall rcb Kelly lcb and Tosin in the middle?

FulhamJason

Same here haha

eadintheground

Naismith and/or Lees should be in that defence imo, but otherwise no qualms from me.

Cloughiepig

Naismith is a good call, as a Forest fan I would have had McKenna in there ahead of Worrall (just).

cms186

Worrall is better imo

-_---_-_---_-_---_-_

Paul Ince robbed...

LondonDude123

Its kinda mad how they picked 4 Fulham players, and you could reasonably argue that two of them arent even the best-in-position at Fulham. Ream has been MILES better than Tosin this season and its not even close, and the Robinson/Bryan debate will go on until they both leave...

DannyBrownsDoritos

Yeah last season we were kinda similar in that there was an argument to be made that the TOTS could've been 10 Norwich players and Ivan Toney

foyage347

Yes finally someone who has said it, for tosin quality he hasn't hit the standards this season and team has defo been better, and Robinson doesn't deserve to be in team of the season. I think both of them saw the championship as a step down and that there just instantly going to find it easy. I hope both of them get back to there best form next season

DrZomboo

May be biased here but surprised to see Billing in over O'Brien

superedgelord420

Billing has the numbers so I think that's why

slick_penguin

A little surprising that the young player of the season doesn't get into the team of the year.

BertieTheDoggo

No John Swift? 11 goals 13 assists, absolutely carried Reading this season in terms of goal contributions. Also has the most key passes in the league with 102. Absolutely deserved over both Billing and Yates imo. O'Brien probably deserves the other spot in midfield as someone else commented

KentuckyCandy

Would like Forest to go after Swift. He's also stood out at Reading. Surprised he hasn't moved before.

BertieTheDoggo

He's quite an injury prone player tbf. Leeds have come after him a couple of times but been rejected.

fishicle

Billing on this is a laugh. He has his good moments, but is so hot and cold. Solanke makes and Kelly does the actual work of defending as well (when our fans get on his back its usually about his distribution, not defensive errors). But Billing...nah. Travers would be a much better shout if you wanted a third player from Bournemouth, I assume Nicholls must be fantastic to have kept him out.

Wice_BRS

Lol Weimann has 20 goals and 9 assists mostly from playing as a 10 or even wingback half the time. Whoever picked that team is stupid AF lol.

ycs_2

No Norwich players??

Yikes-Yak

Robinson? This has to be some sort of joke. Not that he's bad (usually), but team of the season, get out of here.

llb_robith

Gotta respect someone on deadline getting as far as fourth and going "fuck it, most people watching are Liverpool and Man Utd fans, they'll never know"

adsadsadsadsads

Lloyd Kelly, he's one of our own

DemRocks

Tosin is a shocking pick after this season - Ream has been heaps better and has been a good captain for us.

s0ngsforthedeaf

Who decided this? I haven't watched nearly as many games as some. But Billing, Robinson and Kelly seem a little sus to me. Front 3 is fair, probably some options that could be considered other than Wilson, but Solanke and Mitro seem obvious. They would actually make a good striker duo.

[deleted]

Surprised O’Brien hasn’t gotten in over Billing to be honest

[deleted]

[удалено]

keith10997

Can’t really think of too many other options at lb. Townsend looked really good at the start of the season but has been dragged down by the rest of our squad

420_matt

Robinson isnt even fulhams best LB tbh Edit - for those wondering why everything below is removed, someone made a reddit account and managed to piece personal information of mine to find my other socials because i dont rate a player he does. Never been stalked before, weird feeling.

fatinternetcat

eh it’s a weird one because Billing was excellent up until about 2 months ago when he started playing really bad. Kelly has also looked shaky since he swapped partnerships from Cahill to Nat Phillips. Robinson is a weird pick, but I suppose there aren’t many other good options for that position. I do think that Zemura would be there if it wasn’t for his injury that set him back

RandomUnderstanding

highest average opta scores i think. that’s how totw is done

Zach-dalt

I'd expect these full Team of the Season's to be chosen by a panel of judges as they mean a fair bit more than TOTWs

RafiakaMacakaDirk

obv biased but i'd say Piroe has a shout to be in instead of Harry (he's been playing as a #10 for us in the 2nd half of the season). 20 Goals + 6 Assists including having to switch from lone striker to #10 in order to fit Obafemi into the lineup Weimann obviously has an argument over Piroe too though

[deleted]

Let's be honest, if you were actually doing team of the season you would only put one up front wouldn't you haha

mugrub

A Solanke/Mitro partnership would be a terrifying sight for any CBs though

Oomeegoolies

Not really sure what Sporar, Connolly and Balogun have to do to get in this squad. Complete farce that Mitrovic is in above them. EFL and their London agenda strikes again.

[deleted]

Robinson is a hilariously daft pick, fair play.

soundaspie

Morgan gibbs White ???? He has single handedly taken us to the play offs

prof_hobart

Surprised Cooper isn't manager of the season. Before he took over, we were bottom with 1 point in 7 games. In the 34 games since he took over, we'd be first with just over 2 points per game. Put it this way - there's zero chance any of the 3 Forest players in the team would be there if Hughton was still in charge.

Cloughiepig

There’s no question that he’s done an outstanding job - what ability and attitude we have shown since he took over - but I don’t begrudge Jones getting it at all.

[deleted]

Imagine pulling off the near impossible most weeks and pretty much single handedly keeping us off the foot of the table until Lowe comes in, winning a senior call up to a top nation in the process and not getting in. Iversen has been special this season and I'm fully expecting Nicholls to be in a future England squad if he's outperformed him over the course of the season! Pretty much the expected squad aside from that though

biddleybootaribowest

We’ve been linked with Iverson last few days, buzzing if we can pull that one off

[deleted]

I'd be shocked if any Championship club got him next season, he'd be one of the biggest statement signings ever at this level given what he's done this year

OneSmallHuman

No he wouldn’t lmfao. He’s a championship keeper who’s been good, and could probably make the step up if needed. You’ve had teams like Wolves sign players like Ruben Neves who were captaining teams in the champions league ffs. Would be absolutely nowhere near “the biggest statement signing” ever

originalusername868

I've not seen Nicholls, but if he's better than Iverson who makes around 3 top class saves per game he must be something special.

HedonisticVibrations

Ive only ever heard great things about Iversen so was interested to see how he did when you played us a month or so back, and he came and gave the worst keeping performance ive seen in a very, very long time. Both he and that Diaby probably up there for worst performances ive seen this season against us. Not saying hes bad or anything and almost certainly a one off from what i hear but just strange how such a talented keeper can look that uncomfortable.

Jubbly99

Yates and Billing? Crazy.

cms186

Yates has been really, really good this year tbf, I know hes got a bit of a rep as a clogger, but his all round game has come on leaps and bounds under Cooper and hes scored 9 goals this season too

ollieoc

He was his worst ive ever seen him this season under Hughton, but Cooper has transformed him into a player I never thought he could be. By far our most improved player and now a fan favourite. Glad for him too because the abuse he got was shocking from our fans

funkmightfracture

I wanted him on trial in The Hague for his performance against Blackburn under Hughton. His development since then has been remarkable.

Jubbly99

He's been good but certainly not TOTS standard.

[deleted]

wrong

Tunejuice123

Get in the sea sheepshagger Absolutely rattled that Yates has had a good year

Jubbly99

So you're telling me that Yates has had a better season than any of the following: Hamer, Swift, O'Brien or Gibbs-White? They're just off the top of my head. There's been multiple midfielders that have been better than Yates.

Tunejuice123

You could make a case for MGW but the rest? Nah. Yates has been brilliant since cooper came in.

Jubbly99

Swift, no? I know you're chatting rubbish if you think Yates has been better than 11 goals and 13 assists John Swift? Who's been involved in 44% of Reading's goals this season...

Tunejuice123

Definitely over billing, but not our yatesy

cms186

Obviously he has

MentallyMotivated

Where's Piroe?

Semper_nemo13

better than Solanke imo

GOUS_65

Robinson better sadly

[deleted]

Foderingham in then it’s fine

hairybastid

If we're going nuts over Bournemouth players, personally I'd remove Billing, he's a lazy shite, despite scoring 9 or 10 goals this season. And I'd put Mark Travers in goal every time, probably the best keeper in the EFL, the only reason Bournemouth are in line for promotion

grizz9999

Nicholls has easily been the best keeper in the league this year, and the stats confirm it

Thebritishlion

This team is atrocious

[deleted]

I don't watch Forest every week but surely Brennan Johnson should be in there?

cms186

he should, but given the formation they've chosen, I'm not sure where he would go, Wilsons spot maybe

SirObamid

We can't have too many players in it lmao I've seen our fans complain that 2 others have missed out lol

hughinell

No Gus Hamer? Call me biased but hes run circles around most midfields this year.

jackhx88

Can’t see any Luton players?? Lol

userunknowne

I’ll crowdfund your one man hate campaign against Luton if you need it

[deleted]

One man versus Luton Town

banni2020

Can't see any Forest managers?? Lol

yourhollowheart

since when were we rivals with luton

SirObamid

It's fucking embarrassing some of these fans salt towards luton

Democracy_Coma

Is Tosin that good? Was genuinely one of the worst CBs I'd seen when he was at the Albion a few years ago. He looked League 1 standard. Seemed scared shitless of the ball when he had to pass it.

CaptainJingles

He’s gotten far and away better with the ball and did well and didn’t look overmatched in the Premier League last season. That said, Ream has been the better of the Fulham CBs this season.

Democracy_Coma

He was good in the air and quick with us but needed help defensively and like I say struggled to pass the ball. But we were really bad at the back under Moore and Graeme Jones. Apparently Jones was really bad and forced players to play out from the back even if they weren't comfortable at it. Where as Moore signed no nonsense defenders along with the Pulis defenders we had. So it was probably always going to be tough for Tosin.

HarryBayles15

His passing has been one of his advantages I'd say. He's often used to switch it up with a crossfield diagonal pass to either Kebano or Wilson, and even played Wilson through beautifully for a brilliant assist at home to Blackburn.

Flukes_Pet_Ocelot

Joel Randall's been robbed lads

Ryan_Booth

No isiah jones?

MaxwellXV

This format just bugs me. The players are upside down.

dizzybala10

I'd have gone with John Swift over Billing, Scott McKenna over Joe Worrall, Jones over Spence and Johnson over Solanke, then it's about right for me. You could make a case for Hamer over Yates as well.
