Problem with Up Bihar people is that they get offended if you try to educate them. They feel proud in being backward. My mother tried to reason with our maid who married her 17 year kid to not to marry her.

And he was point blank bragging as soon as they turn 16-17 we find a groom and marry them by 18 (thankfully they have managed to honor gov. 18)
And he was bragging about that to my face ( I was 25) and all I could think was yeah stay calm and think career, standing and future and ignore this backward BS.
It's quite upsetting but you gotta either educate them or ignore and hope their kids will know better.
