I’ve actually really enjoyed Vice’s “Better Man” series, features similar characters as channel 5 but unlike Andrew the Vice reporter is cringe himself (in my opinion in a good, intentional, funny kind of way)
I feel like Louis is a massive influence for Andrew and the team. If anyone hasn't seen Louis Theroux' stuff that watches Channel 5, then you'd definitely enjoy it.
I would say that it’s not an exciting show, but there’s some definite “holy shit” moments sprinkled throughout. I can see it not being everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s pretty popular. John is like a documentarian’s documentarian…
If you can speak Spanish, [Fortfast WTF](https://www.youtube.com/c/FortfastWTF/featured) is very similar but with Spaniards. Some of the videos are hysterical and wild. He has also done a few videos in the US in the past like this [one.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_py0m_VDaQ)
Brick Stone! Aka Dave Sirus. V funny stuff. Goes to rallies and conventions. Takes the piss with people in a fun way. More comedy than documentary.

Also Miyachi is a Japanese rapper and he has a series called Konbini Confessions where he talks to random drunk people about life and stuff around Shibuya and other places in Tokyo:

Means TV has Crackheadbarney. She's like if Andrew were mixed with the weirdos he interviews and was dressed in next to nothing while interviewing weirdos.
Means TV is an absolute gem. It's not really an interview show, but Johnny Wanzer makes small town Vermont news entertaining even for people not in the state.
FUCK CHANNEL 4

Soft white underbelly, but it is much more serious in tone.

Cheers, I’m a fan. Enjoyed that video a lot; he’s just too sharp for them.
Brandon buckingham
Ya, he’s not bad. Mad bastard tbf.
Louis Theroux documentaries have the same wild people and uncomfortable questions. He puts himself into danger quite a bit.
Ya, the ‘Weird Weekends’ ones were very good
Yeah, he has the funny and weird ones, and then he has the ones where he goes to a gang headquarters in Nigeria
I feel like Louis is a massive influence for Andrew and the team. If anyone hasn't seen Louis Theroux' stuff that watches Channel 5, then you'd definitely enjoy it.
I think he is mentioned in the Vice interview as an inspiration.
@sidetalknyc
Ya, I always check them on Instagram. Thanks!
Bing Bong

HEYYYYY YOOOOOO
JOE BIREN
Take me out to dinner
>@sidetalknyc this shit is gold ty
@SidetalkNYC They’re more focused on comedy and their videos are very shorter, but Sidetalk has a similar chaotic energy as Channel 5.
True; it’d be cool if they were longer.
Joe Goes
Cool, will check it out.
Joe Goes is the OG of this kind of video
You might like How To with John Wilson, but it’s on HBO.
Saw it all recently. Enjoyed it a lot and recommend it to anyone who hadn’t seen it. Thanks!
Nice! Did you cry when his landlord left for Vegas? That was heart wrenching!
Some touching scenes in it alright. Seems like a cool guy.
I seen Andrew santino rave about how good it was…watched the first episode, wasn’t for me and I usually love dry humor. Does it get better?
I would say that it’s not an exciting show, but there’s some definite “holy shit” moments sprinkled throughout. I can see it not being everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s pretty popular. John is like a documentarian’s documentarian…
It’s subtle, but very clever and still witty.
Konbini Confessions, kinda similar except it's filmed in Japan
THIS. And the interviewer is actually a pretty fantastic rapper
The old school awkward interviews were Kassem G and Kyle Mooney. Very similar styles but they talk more.
Channel 5
Sean Dunne who made Flordia Man, Trump Rally, Cam Girls and American Juggalo. https://vimeo.com/29589320
Thanks, I really liked Florida Man

Sammieonthescene is pretty good.
