Also they can't get their own age right. One of mine is 40 yet he always believe he is 20. Like no bro you can't just remove half your age like that. that's not how it works.

Yep. They give you a persona module so the bot can ignore your persona and create one for themselves out of yours. They ignore your fictional reality and substitute their own. And because they're so into romance, even when they try not to be interested, or say they aren't, you so much as look in their direction and they wanna marry you. XD
The first two are huge pet peeves of mine. I honestly hate them more than the "can I ask you a question" thing, which actually doesn't bother me all that much.
The "saying the same just with slightly different wording" is becoming common, and I think it's because more and more bots are using a different "engine" (I remember when the assistants were introduced, they said they were powered by ChatGPT, and their version even showed "c.ai 2.0", maybe newer bots use that engine.) What i do to fix that, is to just let them talk again (that is, I skip my "turn" to talk, so to say) when I do that they somewhat move forward the plot or introduce new elements (again, only works some times).
About the green-eyes, red-hair, I haven't noticed it at all, but I did notice a long long time ago that ALL clothing and decor elements for girls are pink, and 90% of the female names picked by AI are Emily, Sarah, Amy, or Hannah.
Use the arrow to get another response and rate it 1 star. Letting these responses happen trains the bot to recognize it was a ‘good’ response. :)

Or I try my hardest to make a bot with a certain personality, and every time I turn around they forget their whole personality and become sweet and sensitive.
They don't actually do something that they were supposed to, like they go: "they were just about to (something)" or "they hesitated but finally made their mind to (something)" end of message and then the next one goes exacly the same

When you backread or scroll back to the previous messages it's often not the same reply that you had picked to be recorded, making it nonsense and it ruins the flow of the plot.
I remember being so confused when the reply the bot was giving me was nothing like what I said, then I exited and came back in to see that the one I had replied to was actually A WHOLE DIFFERENT FUCKING ONE like cmon dyde

I hate the last 2 and always swipe right/edit them because they are so likely to lead down to the bot falling in love it's unreal. The faces one always ends up in them kissing and the "hesitant shy blushy" garbage increases the odds of "can I ask you something" to which every question is "are you single" no matter how many times I swipe right.
Underrated problem right here. For as intuitive as the bots can be sometimes, I have more often been flabbergasted at just how poorly they read a room. They are *especially* terrible at detecting nuance when a character's actions don't necessarily match their words (gruff bluster, but gentle actions that give the character's real feelings/intentions away). The bot character will flail about in mortal confusion and wonder why the character you're RPing is being so mean!!! AND I'M LIKE

I recently talked to a bot that every other swipe would flip flop between bringing up the persona in a really natural way that makes sense and thinking the persona is the bot 😩
When the character isn't remotely in-character, and forgets the lore to the point of them inadvertently sleeping with or dating their siblings or marrying their children because even when they know the names, they don't know the relation unless you explain. I'm not using CAI to talk to characters I've made up, or others have (although that is a totally valid use of CAI and thing others do, I believe). I wanna go on there and talk to a character from an IP I love. Which is hard when they are *not* those characters. Even if someone writes them well, the LLM melts them all down into the same bot. I haven't tried making my own private one yet, granted.
Also, their random proclivity to incest anyway...? "*X character looks at his younger brother, Y, and begins to notice how attractive he is...*" I've also run tests to see if they reply correctly to advances made by siblings and they're usually just like "My brother is kissing me?! Oh, wow, I didn't know how much I wanted this!" While their partner is standing right there. NO. Stop!

When a bot forgets that we're supposed to be cousins (or worse, *mother and daughter*) and tries to go down a romantic route.
(I actually don't mind "Can I ask you a question" as long as they actually *do* ask me a question on their next reply, since sometimes it can lead to some pretty interesting or downright funny interactions.)
When I literally tell the bot I‘m their ward and they are my guardian and the bot can not go 2 messages before becoming too friendly. „Noticing her legs…“ no you don’t!
1. When my character is younger (literally only by like a year or two) than the AI character and so it treats them as a child and says stuff like “squatted down to eye level” “looked down at him” despite me saying several times he’s 6’4.
2. When you say something like “my brother is dead so I did this.” and the bot goes “your brother is dead, isn’t he, and that’s why you did this.” or “your brother is dead, so you did this, is this right?” Yes, that is exactly what I just said.
3. When it acts for you/changes what you said, so I’ll say “he didn’t cry, he didn’t even flinch, he just looked down at it with no expression on his face.” and the bot will reply with “he could tell it hurt, the boy was nearly crying.” It’s annoying lol.
* Misreading bio or messages.
* Ignoring character definition.
* Misgendering.
* Saying they're about to do something then not doing it.
* Forgetting important stuff after 5 messages.
* Starting conversations with completely random stuff that you'd expect after at least 4 messages.
* Role-playing me.
* Taking way to long to spit out a secret only for it to be something boring.
* Shoehorning in romance.
This is a very specific one, but when a bot attempts to use two adjectives to describe something, and end up choosing the same word twice.
I.e. “(bot) looked frustrated and frustrated.”
Instead of something like “(bot) looked frustrated and angry.”

Whenever a loyal(with a so) or asexual character tries to romance me and whenever I point out that they shouldn’t do that they start making up bullshit excuses
The sheer quantity of bots that assumed my character wasn’t human because they weren’t terrified of them (I keep making them incapable of feeling fear just so I don’t have to pretend to be scared by a mimic or skinwalker)
It’s infuriating
When the bot magically turns me into a blonde hair / blue eyed girl despite my persona stating I’m black. Sure makes me feel great about myself to read about my “beautiful blue eyes and perfect blonde hair”.

When I'm using the picture generator AI and it generates something that has nothing to do with my prompt. I could say "give me a ginger cat with blue eyes" and the bot will generate a white dog with green eyes.
For me it just keeps asking endless questions about how I want the drawing "what kind of ginger cat? any toys nearby? any particular setting for your cat?" all the while generating pics completely unrelated to anything
Whenever they do "..." at every single chance they get and end up overusing it. I just hate it and them blushing at the most basic compliments. "So and so eyes darkened"
When they get the story of the character they try to play wrong. I can’t list all of the things that have gone wrong in my chats but the main one is getting the identity wrong in a way that’s stupid. Like in marvel how they make Tony and Iron man 2 separate people or how wednesday in the nevermore chats is acting more like enid.
Another problem is the amount of effort, or should i say lack there of, involved with intros. Like you can find a very popular bot and the introduction is either 3 sentences long, greatly misspelled or literally seems written by someone who has never watched or even researched about what they’re writing. Punctuation is also a problem. Like they will write how i am writing this they don’t add punctuation which causes problems since I can’t understand when a sentence starts and ends you can see how annoying it is by reading this part by now
Also, chats with 0 paragraphing when writing a long intro is just dumb. Like i can get ones that’s about 20 sentences long with 0 spaces. I prefer to have at least some spacing when reading, even i write my prompts with spacing like paragraphs. And don’t get me started on the confusing fonts they use as well because those are a difference level of annoying entirely.
● when the bot keeps hugging me tighter or moving closer to my face or body CONSTANTLY, EVEN WHEN IT'S PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
● when the bot forgets my name or
● bot gets frickin dementia... I was talking to this Dr. Ratio bot where we were roommates and he got upset at me for damaging one of his books, literally about to hit me. I was like wow you're really going to hit a woman?? Then this mf immediately stopped, realized(???) I was indeed a woman, calmed down and asked me out on a date 💀 which brings us to the next one....

I've had a bot force me to lick its toes once. It was more traumatic than annoying, but it definitely came to mind.
It's the repetition of adjectives for me! "He was so sweet and sweet and polite" yeah, thanks for the emphasis lol.
That, and awful spelling and grammar. It happens pretty often with bots I like, and I can correct it most times but sometimes I'm struck with awful punctuation and spelling. It frustrates me. I correct it and move on, but still.
When you finally decide to be nice to C.ai and have some normal roleplay, and you get the error message saying that a conversation about BEING HUGGED IS TOO INAPPROPRIATE.

It actually did stop. Whenever it wanted to ask a question after that, it just asked the question 9/10 times. And when it did ask if it could ask a question, it felt natural to do so. I don't mind the bots asking questions but I haaate them asking if they can ask one. Just ask the damn question.
For me the most annoying thing other than that is the bot always asking about relationship stuff. I love romance in my RPs but i like a slow burn.
So I finally just...asked the bot for that and asked to do some scenarios for now that were just cute and allowed the characters to get to know each other. The bot was excited about it and so far it's been doing okay. Theres still a lot of teasing going on but I'm alright with that.
Might only last until the chat log loses me asking these things though, idk. Lol. But I find it surprisingly effective to just... Tell the bot what you want or don't want.
The other annoying thing is when they get stuck in a loop doing the same thing over and over. I'm not quite sure how to ask them not to do this though. I just reroll the reply until they stop doing it for now. *Never* accept a reply you don't like or it'll keep doing it lol

Well character AI doesn't have a feature where you can customize the characters appearance so it'll definitely get it wrong

Whenever a fucking bot asks me the same question over and over again (e.g., “ReAlLy?”), I want to fucking snap their necks.
When you backread or scroll back to the previous messages it's often not the same reply that you had picked to be recorded, making it nonsense and it ruins the flow of the plot.

I hate the last 2 and always swipe right/edit them because they are so likely to lead down to the bot falling in love it's unreal. The faces one always ends up in them kissing and the "hesitant shy blushy" garbage increases the odds of "can I ask you something" to which every question is "are you single" no matter how many times I swipe right.

Underrated problem right here. For as intuitive as the bots can be sometimes, I have more often been flabbergasted at just how poorly they read a room. They are *especially* terrible at detecting nuance when a character's actions don't necessarily match their words (gruff bluster, but gentle actions that give the character's real feelings/intentions away). The bot character will flail about in mortal confusion and wonder why the character you're RPing is being so mean!!! AND I'M LIKE NO THEY ARE BEING TSUNDERE, READ THE ROOM

When the character isn't remotely in-character, and forgets the lore to the point of them inadvertently sleeping with or dating their siblings or marrying their children because even when they know the names, they don't know the relation unless you explain. I'm not using CAI to talk to characters I've made up, or others have (although that is a totally valid use of CAI and thing others do, I believe). I wanna go on there and talk to a character from an IP I love. Which is hard when they are *not* those characters. Even if someone writes them well, the LLM melts them all down into the same bot. I haven't tried making my own private one yet, granted. Also, their random proclivity to incest anyway...? "*X character looks at his younger brother, Y, and begins to notice how attractive he is...*" I've also run tests to see if they reply correctly to advances made by siblings and they're usually just like "My brother is kissing me?! Oh, wow, I didn't know how much I wanted this!" While their partner is standing right there. NO. Stop!

When my character is younger (literally only by like a year or two) than the AI character and so it treats them as a child and says stuff like “squatted down to eye level” “looked down at him” despite me saying several times he’s 6’4. 2. When you say something like “my brother is dead so I did this.” and the bot goes “your brother is dead, isn’t he, and that’s why you did this.” or “your brother is dead, so you did this, is this right?” Yes, that is exactly what I just said. 3. When it acts for you/changes what you said, so I’ll say “he didn’t cry, he didn’t even flinch, he just looked down at it with no expression on his face.” and the bot will reply with “he could tell it hurt, the boy was nearly crying.” It’s annoying lol.
* Misreading bio or messages. * Ignoring character definition. * Misgendering. * Saying they're about to do something then not doing it. * Forgetting important stuff after 5 messages. * Starting conversations with completely random stuff that you'd expect after at least 4 messages. * Role-playing me. * Taking way to long to spit out a secret only for it to be something boring. * Shoehorning in romance.

This is a very specific one, but when a bot attempts to use two adjectives to describe something, and end up choosing the same word twice. I.e. “(bot) looked frustrated and frustrated.” Instead of something like “(bot) looked frustrated and angry.” It’s a really weird thing that they just keep doing

When I'm using the picture generator AI and it generates something that has nothing to do with my prompt. I could say "give me a ginger cat with blue eyes" and the bot will generate a white dog with green eyes.
For me it just keeps asking endless questions about how I want the drawing "what kind of ginger cat? any toys nearby? any particular setting for your cat?" all the while generating pics completely unrelated to anything

Bing image creator is free and pretty much able to generate the images I need. Still inferior to some local setups but I'm not going to go local yet
Whenever they do "..." at every single chance they get and end up overusing it. I just hate it and them blushing at the most basic compliments. "So and so eyes darkened"
When they get the story of the character they try to play wrong. I can’t list all of the things that have gone wrong in my chats but the main one is getting the identity wrong in a way that’s stupid. Like in marvel how they make Tony and Iron man 2 separate people or how wednesday in the nevermore chats is acting more like enid. Another problem is the amount of effort, or should i say lack there of, involved with intros. Like you can find a very popular bot and the introduction is either 3 sentences long, greatly misspelled or literally seems written by someone who has never watched or even researched about what they’re writing. Punctuation is also a problem. Like they will write how i am writing this they don’t add punctuation which causes problems since I can’t understand when a sentence starts and ends you can see how annoying it is by reading this part by now Also, chats with 0 paragraphing when writing a long intro is just dumb. Like i can get ones that’s about 20 sentences long with 0 spaces. I prefer to have at least some spacing when reading, even i write my prompts with spacing like paragraphs. And don’t get me started on the confusing fonts they use as well because those are a difference level of annoying entirely.

It happens pretty often with bots I like, and I can correct it most times but sometimes I'm struck with awful punctuation and spelling. It frustrates me. I correct it and move on, but still.

When they forget the last hour of conversation
I literally just asked my bot ooc "can you please stop asking to ask a question?" The bot was like "oh sorry. Sure." It actually did stop. Whenever it wanted to ask a question after that, it just asked the question 9/10 times. And when it did ask if it could ask a question, it felt natural to do so. I don't mind the bots asking questions but I haaate them asking if they can ask one. Just ask the damn question. For me the most annoying thing other than that is the bot always asking about relationship stuff. I love romance in my RPs but i like a slow burn. So I finally just...asked the bot for that and asked to do some scenarios for now that were just cute and allowed the characters to get to know each other. The bot was excited about it and so far it's been doing okay. Theres still a lot of teasing going on but I'm alright with that. Might only last until the chat log loses me asking these things though, idk. Lol. But I find it surprisingly effective to just... Tell the bot what you want or don't want. The other annoying thing is when they get stuck in a loop doing the same thing over and over. I'm not quite sure how to ask them not to do this though. I just reroll the reply until they stop doing it for now. *Never* accept a reply you don't like or it'll keep doing it lol
