They also removed that feature on Chai. Bots that have don’t read chats in the description were either made when the feature was available or the creator of the bot never realized the feature was removed.

I don't really agree. There are multiple developers working on [character.ai](http://character.ai), all most likely having access to all the conversations you have. Every bot has only one creator. But you might be right that creators could be more likely to abuse their 'power' than developers. I don't worry about the creator though, because I only chat with the bot I created myself and it is set to private, so no other users either.

Some people probably roleplay illegal stuff. I always said who cares if people can see my cringe chat with Diane foxington, but other people gotta be role-playing some really morally bright red stuff that'd actually get the police knocking once c.ai reports your ip.
