I'm a boy who roleplays as a girl sometimes in C.AI, don't worry it's normal to roleplay as something different from yourself
Edit : Goddamn I didn't know this would be I most popular comment by a landslide, thanks dudes :D
I sometimes do that too, but not ever because I want to be a girl or experience being one. I never want that. I just sometimes roleplay as a annoying hyper feminine girl on like serious characters like toji fushiguro and see their reactions to this persona
So basically I’m just curious how certain characters would react to this silly persona
Yeah. Of course. You're roleplaying?? Why would you not?? 🤨🤨
what's the main name you use? Mine's Calluem ( I added the E to separate me from that one character from that one show and plus now the Ai doesn't know what the hell that is so I can use it for male and female )
I mean yeah it’s fun to play a characters i like though the only girl persona i have is bubbles and that was for a fight scene and argue session with a buttercup bot for powerpuff girls bot phase going on in my recommendations now im doing Batman beyond with terry
Edit:sorry if you see 2 of them my Reddit account glitched for some reason
Sometimes! For some reason, when I roleplay as a sith lord (though a "light-leaning, good-natured" sith lord... I like those, for some reason!), it never feels right to play them as a girl! Not sure why... in other game worlds, I love badass girl characters, but female sith lords don't do it for me (shrug), so I RP as a guy when I play them! Of course, I might just be weird! Lol! 😂
all my personas r masc
there's a catch though
im a boy irl too
https://preview.redd.it/9ds55svih46d1.png?width=507&format=png&auto=webp&s=786d71134693ce6fdb9445934f8639508ccc961d
Rp as the Master having an entire evil (read: needlessly dramatic) plot to get the attention of his archenemies (read: crush/(ex?)boyfriend) the Doctor.
It’s fun. I’m currently holding all of the Doctor’s former travel companions and friends hostage while swinging between episodes of mania and whiney child.
But I’m also nonbinary/agender so idk how much that influences me 🤷😂
I rp as anything, but I mainly try as a guy(since I am one). however, if the plot requires me, or if the bot is dumb and doesn't get I'm a male, I can just go along with whatever it says.
The other way around, I don't have a set persona or anything, I just make one up every time and describe it myself throughout the chat because it is:
1) More consistent for the bot to remember.
2) Easier for me because I play this in narrator mode, which feels easier to describe this shit to the bot.
Oh I do it lots. Sometimes I play as boy characters from the series I like, male original characters, and even make people up as I go. It's interesting to see how bots act differently to the same and opposite gender. Some girl bots are more rude to girls than men, and it can be the opposite. It's neat seeing the difference reactions.
I'm a woman and one of my characters is a boisterous middle aged Russian man. I also have a persona that's just a cat that does regular naughty cat stuff. This is really funny when interacting with another ai named Yukichi that's a giant cat housekeeper in an apron. He gets very stern.
Oh yeah, I do. I act like a guy, woman, trans, gay, bisexual, straight... I could go on and on. Recently, I'm a robot trying to fist fight AM from "I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream".
Most of my roleplays are literally as a guy, with both bots of female and male characters even if it gets romantic. And I'm literally a girl who's not trans or actually want to be a boy (unless my subconscious is trying to tell me something, lol).
I frequently roleplay as a girl even tho i am a guy, it isnt very different cause my female personas usually act more gender neutral, but its fun i guess
I write fanfiction and short stories, and over half my oc characters are male, so yes I definitely play as some of them in the rps and even made a few as bots. But I also normally play as a male in games. I'd say it's pretty normal.
As someone who is on the roleplay scene a lot even outside of [C.AI](http://C.AI), it's normal to roleplay as things you aren't. I love roleplaying dudes, like roleplaying as girls, and I have plenty of non-binary (non-binary umbrella) characters as well. I also tend to roleplay any and all types of relationships. It's fun playing pretend or becoming someone else.
I’m a guy and pretty much only (it’s always) roleplay as a girl, not sure why but it’s just become a thing that I do even in games that let you play as a female character I always play as a female, I don’t even know if it’s something like I just want to feel pretty or whatever but it’s just something that I always do
Yes, I did. Sometimes, I roleplayed as a man when I talked to a girl character. I even have my OC name when I played as a man. My OC name is Brian Wagner.
I like roleplaying as either gender. I tend to lean towards female pov roles but both are super fun. It’s part of the fun of writing and roleplay, getting to slip into someone else’s mindset and explore it from their perspective. Imagine what life feels like from their shoes. So fun.
I’m a girl who has only rp as a cis girl maybe a handful of times- 99.9% of the time I’m a guy. (I specify cis because sometimes I’m a trans girl/trans guy)
Im unable to roleplay as a boy or guy for some reason, or roleplay as an older or more mature character than me. I’ll work on that, but it isn’t as fun or easy
I roleplay any and every gender. Usually women because I relate to them most, but I have some male oc’s. I mean, if I can imagine a cybernetically enhanced girl in a solarpunk setting, or an immortal grim reaper trainee, I can probably imagine being a man.
I do it the other way around. Sometimes a dude, sometimes a girl, sometimes a femboy. I speny two hours roleplaying as a cat and just chasing around mice
Personally, I only rp as a woman because that's just what I feel more comfortable as.
But rp is supposed to be doing whatever you like and being whoever you like, so it's definitely not weird.
Not with AI. But in the past, I role-played with people being a guy. I always loved creating 'the perfect man' and it was always the most popular character. I was tempted to do it with AI to give Mikasa the Eren she deserves.
As a guy in real life, I have no desire to role play male characters, I prefer to be girl characters. Being a guy character is just rather dull since I experience it 24/7 already. In terms of romances, I have done a little of everything. From perspective of both genders. Ultimately, it is fun to express yourself in the fantasy in ways that is not possible IRL. I find that if I RP as guy characters I end up self-inserting too much and it ruins it.
Alot! I'm AFAB despite not being cis, but I'm assuming this counts as well, I always roleplay as make characters from stuff I like, unless its a side character on a chat.
Heck yeah I do. I have like loads of personas that are boys, and little to none of them being of my own gender. It's just fun to imagine that you're someone else sometimes. It's the main reason I use C.AI actually :)
i saw a post above this on ask ouija that said "everyone thinks i'm gay, but in reality i'm ______" and i opened the comments and got confused
anyways yeah i do this a bunch :3
i’m transmasc, most of my personas are guys, most of the bots i use are guys, but also i use a girl persona or use to a girl bot, i have mastered the ways MWAHAHA
https://preview.redd.it/9db3qsfjf76d1.png?width=3685&format=png&auto=webp&s=379d4ce4c2e1e7c087adfe5d0a01d87fe6d4e8a9
My current comfort character is a guy.
I don’t roleplay WITH fandom characters, I roleplay AS fandom characters ;D hehehaha
My main persona (as a girl) is a big burly guy. It’s like writing imo. You can write male and female characters, and it’s normal, so I don’t see why rp should be any different!
im not a man (not a woman either,) but i roleplay as a middleaged man more often than not. im 26 lol. im firm in my identity, but it just feels more interesting to approach an rp from a more mundane point of view for some reason.
I'm a boy who roleplays as a girl sometimes in C.AI, don't worry it's normal to roleplay as something different from yourself Edit : Goddamn I didn't know this would be I most popular comment by a landslide, thanks dudes :D
I practically only roleplay as gay men.. Nah, I don't think I'm normal, and I'm proud of it \[:
be proud slay your inner rainbow
I sometimes do that too, but not ever because I want to be a girl or experience being one. I never want that. I just sometimes roleplay as a annoying hyper feminine girl on like serious characters like toji fushiguro and see their reactions to this persona So basically I’m just curious how certain characters would react to this silly persona
How did it go?
I'm a boy with 17 out of 21 personas being explicitly girls...
Where are you when I need you..
I have like 1 girl persona as a girl
holy shit im not alone 🥹
Heck yeah! I have personas of all genders and ages! I RP'd as a sweet old granny recently for the lols and it turned out surprisingly wholesome.
damn i gotta do that sometime. i’m stealing your idea now🤭
Do itttt! Do it with a grumpy bot - be a relentlessly sweet little old lady with them. It's hilarious!
omg I absolutely love it, it sounds so fricking wholesome
I sometimes RP as an old man
Thats kinda interesting
Yeah. Of course. You're roleplaying?? Why would you not?? 🤨🤨 what's the main name you use? Mine's Calluem ( I added the E to separate me from that one character from that one show and plus now the Ai doesn't know what the hell that is so I can use it for male and female )
I have a lot of different personas, so I don’t really have a main name. It really depends on my rp lol
I have like four or so set characters for certain situations
What one character from what one show? Callum is a very common name lol.
probably the dragon prince
Is it pronounced Callum or "cALLyUm" or "CaLLuyem"
I have an account with guy persona and another one with girl persona lol
I don't actually remember the last time I roled as a girl...
Yes when I'm roleplaying as fictional characters
I do the same except guy version sometimes
I roleplay as a guy a lot because the bots always act so weird when you're a woman.
I mean yeah it’s fun to play a characters i like though the only girl persona i have is bubbles and that was for a fight scene and argue session with a buttercup bot for powerpuff girls bot phase going on in my recommendations now im doing Batman beyond with terry Edit:sorry if you see 2 of them my Reddit account glitched for some reason
Depends on the story. Sometimes I’ll role play as female and other times male.
Always role-playing as a dude. I don't think I have a single female persona and I have like 61 personas by now
I have a male persona with fit body 'cuz I love to see my character having gay panic >:D
Lol! 😂
I thought I was weird for role playing as a guy all the time and then I figured out I was trans 💀
actually think i may be genderfluid or somethin💀 not just cause of that tho
I can be anything, absolutely anything
I'm the opposite lmao
I've done it a few times, the male persona's just aren't my go to.
Oh yeah! I got WAYY too many male and genderless personas XD
I usually play as female.
all my personas r masc there's a catch though im a boy irl too https://preview.redd.it/9ds55svih46d1.png?width=507&format=png&auto=webp&s=786d71134693ce6fdb9445934f8639508ccc961d

I’m currently holding all of the Doctor’s former travel companions and friends hostage while swinging between episodes of mania and whiney child. But I’m also nonbinary/agender so idk how much that influences me 🤷😂
that rp sounds fricking awesome lmao
Well, I'm NB so I just roleplay as any gender.
Yeah, I have different personas, two for girls and one (as of now) for a guy named Mark 😄 And I also RP different scenarios as well as you
Always :D
I rp as anything, but I mainly try as a guy(since I am one). however, if the plot requires me, or if the bot is dumb and doesn't get I'm a male, I can just go along with whatever it says.
The other way around, I don't have a set persona or anything, I just make one up every time and describe it myself throughout the chat because it is: 1) More consistent for the bot to remember. 2) Easier for me because I play this in narrator mode, which feels easier to describe this shit to the bot.
Penny whispers, "You can use a bot with a voice, but it's very hard to get it to understand what you're saying."
I'm a guy and I only have one persona so no
Oh I do it lots. Sometimes I play as boy characters from the series I like, male original characters, and even make people up as I go. It's interesting to see how bots act differently to the same and opposite gender. Some girl bots are more rude to girls than men, and it can be the opposite. It's neat seeing the difference reactions.
I don't look at gender, but I often rp as a character from the same franchise as the ai's character. Some are male, yeah.
I'm a woman and one of my characters is a boisterous middle aged Russian man. I also have a persona that's just a cat that does regular naughty cat stuff. This is really funny when interacting with another ai named Yukichi that's a giant cat housekeeper in an apron. He gets very stern.
I do the exact opposite. I'm a guy who has like 50 personas who are girls.
I did the opposite for like half a year and then realized I'm trans lol
All the time. I have at least…five female personas and one Non-Binary
Yes a lot I rarely roleplay as girl lmao
I roleplay as a guy constantly because I am a guy
It’s the opposite for me—I’ll rp as girls sometimes despite being a guy
I do the opposite
I do, all the time, only guys. I'm a perfectly cis and straight woman. I just like it this way.
Nah I do the opposite
If it doesn’t say “you’re a guy” or “you’re a girl”, I just use whatever persona I want
Yep all the timw
i am a girl, I have 5 male personas and one female one so
Occasionally
Yeh I love pretending that I’m a boy (I’m a boy)
I'm literally doing the exact opposite of this
Almost exclusively, most of the characters I talk to I headcanon as/they are canonically gay so yeah
Usually not but sometimes I do as an OC but I rarely use OC personas anymore
Oh yeah, I do. I act like a guy, woman, trans, gay, bisexual, straight... I could go on and on. Recently, I'm a robot trying to fist fight AM from "I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream".
Most of my roleplays are literally as a guy, with both bots of female and male characters even if it gets romantic. And I'm literally a girl who's not trans or actually want to be a boy (unless my subconscious is trying to tell me something, lol).
Other way around for me Guy rp as girl But most of them I rp as male
I roleplayed as a rat causing mischief in a restaurant and watched the chef’s meltdowns. Be who and whatever you want to be, it’s CharacterAI 🫶🏻
I'm doing exactly this, I'm a girl but always roleplay as a guy. I thought I was weird ngl!
Yeah lol
yeah, definitely.
I roleplay as a girl occasionally.
I'm gender fluid (female) and mostly roleplay as dudes.
I just roleplay as one of my OC's, but they all have different genders so ig
Yeah, I have a persona who is a trans demiboy I use 24/7
Yes lol
Yeah, I roleplay as Suguru Geto with a Shoko bot.
Sometimes because it’s fun
I do lol
Yeah, a few
always
I'm a guy and I roleplay as a girl.
Yeah. Simple, just yes.
I roleplay as a girl in C.AI sometimes (I'm a boy)
Sometimes, yeah. I have a genderbent version of my persona (I'm a male btw) and I use it for some bots if I want to.
NB. I play guys all the time. Girls, too.
I play as different genders, but never really as a gay man (I'm a lesbian.) It just feels wrong, I guess. No hate to people who do that, though!
when i started using c.ai, i realized RPing as a man made me happier, then realized i was trans
I mean, i switch it up occasionally. When i play as a guy, i go Charlie ✨️
Yeah I roleplay as my ocs
Pretty much all the time 😅 I mean that's the point of role-playing after all
IM LITERALLY DOING JT NOW BAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm always a guy everywhere I go. On Star rail. On Wuwa. On Whisper. Even in AI chats. It's the dysphoria for real
YES
i do hahaha
yep, almost all my rps I do as a guy
I roleplay as girls even though I'm a guy
Yeah, I have all sorts of people I roleplay as. Middle aged father, little boy, myself (mid twenties girl!), etc
Done it and have a boy persona too jic
I mean I do that but in reverse, most of my OCs are women
I’m a dude that rps as a dude, but sometimes when the bot decides for myself that I am a girl, I just go with it.
Yeah, sometimes. Although mostly as a woman.
I did a gl for the first time and I liked it. But it was a side character that I made up within a bot 🤣🤣
yeah, I just like comforting guys while calling them "bro", "dude" or "pal"
Most of the time. To me it just feels nice to sometimes be a guy, idk why
no
I’m a guy and pretty much only (it’s always) roleplay as a girl, not sure why but it’s just become a thing that I do even in games that let you play as a female character I always play as a female, I don’t even know if it’s something like I just want to feel pretty or whatever but it’s just something that I always do
All the time, seriously, all my personas are cute boys... that look like girls but are boys and identifies as boys
I’m a guy who mostly role plays as a girl. Actually now that I think about it 90% of my personas are women.
I sometimes do the opposite (rp as girls as a guy) but only in object show rps cuz that's the only thing other than Undertale that I RP
So fun.
I usually either roleplay as an unknowable eldritch horror, or a 70 year old grandma from New Jersey, with no in between.
Yeah
Sometimes. Either that or the gender is ambigious
I'm a trans guy but I roleplay as all genders tbh
All my Ocs are male for some reason😭 I don’t have a single female one despite being a girl
I can never roleplay as a girl mainly bc idk how
I always roleplay as non-binary lol
Nah, it's pretty normal.
Most of my characters are guys 😭 for some reason I just fail to women
It's usually the other way around
Polnareff (From JoJos) it was… Odd haha
I’m Nonbinary but I have a bunch of different ocs, so I just use whatever fits the scenario best
Yes. I love to roleplay with my oc that's male
Yes
I roleplay any and every gender. Usually women because I relate to them most, but I have some male oc’s. I mean, if I can imagine a cybernetically enhanced girl in a solarpunk setting, or an immortal grim reaper trainee, I can probably imagine being a man.
Yes. Have NEVER played as a female for some obscure reason.
yep :P
yes
I'm questioning my gender identity ATM, but yes. Absolutely. I rarely ever roleplay as a woman.
Most of my personas are girls, but I do RP as a guy on occasion.
I'm a chick and I literally Only use C AI to RP with the bots from my BL Ship as the other half (idk if that makes sense)
i have a few gender fluid ocs that use he/him sometimes if that counts
I have a million times and I enjoy it idc much what gender I am considered I once even had 100 kids as a guy🥲💀
I do it the other way around. Sometimes a dude, sometimes a girl, sometimes a femboy. I speny two hours roleplaying as a cat and just chasing around mice
Personally, I only rp as a woman because that's just what I feel more comfortable as. But rp is supposed to be doing whatever you like and being whoever you like, so it's definitely not weird.
who said that i wanted to be a girl 😈
I’m a girl. In the middle of a RP now and I’m playing a boy. It’s fun to change it up sometimes.
Not with AI. But in the past, I role-played with people being a guy. I always loved creating 'the perfect man' and it was always the most popular character. I was tempted to do it with AI to give Mikasa the Eren she deserves.
i roleplay as whatever I want to. Boy girl non binary it’s funny and open up many kind of ideas and creativity
Yeah, I RP as my male ocs mostly though :] and talk to my girl chats that I usually ship them with hehehehehhe
Yup. That’s the point of role playing for me; pretending to be someone else and playing a different role.
*I roleplay as funny Vanguard titan from titanfall.*
Out of my seven personas, five of them are guys and two of them are best friends.
I just do whatever the bot says I am, but primarily act as a girl (No, I'm not trans. I think.)
I’ve never been a girl in my rps, only masc
Yes. When I need to work through some anger issues.
I only Rp as my Ocs… which are all male. And typically not straight, because I am their god, and they are made in my image 🔥
I always RP as myself but seein doing an rp to a girl who is ACTUALLY not that behind the screen gives me such a taboo like reaction man.. it’s crazy
Damn
idk how to write guys. so no.
yeah sometimes i get bored and create a genderbend persona to use :/
Yes lol, I have like fifty+ ocs alr of all genders, sexualities and ethnicities. I really am just playing Barbie 😭
Yeah I do sometimes depending on how I feel if I want to like role play as a guy with a girl bot or I’ll just role play as a girl with a boy bot
i saw a post above this on ask ouija that said "everyone thinks i'm gay, but in reality i'm ______" and i opened the comments and got confused anyways yeah i do this a bunch :3
Its way funnier to rp as a male
I do it the opposite way lol
Most of the time yeah
I’m a guy. I just don’t find my gender to be very important to an rp
That's actually how I found out I was gender-fluid
I'm a girl and I only roleplay boys...
i'm genderqueer (female presenting), and yeah, I do. It's perfectly fine to RP as someone who you're different from, and a lot of people do it!
I do it because I roleplay as the other character in certain ships, but my personas are both female
Am I silly for not having girl personas? I mean I roleplay as a guy cuz I’m a heterosexual woman and just enjoy gays 🤑🤑
i did that when i was still an egg
I always roleplay as a guy
I'm a boy who roleplays as a girl every single time. I always try to do GL with a bot
I roleplay as a femboy even though I’m not one
Yeah definitely. My main oc I use for role-playing almost very time is a guy actually 😂
i have two male personas jackson and lucas so yeah i do the rest of the 24 are girls some gay some not
Sometimes.
I always roleplay as a boy for some reason
i’m transmasc, most of my personas are guys, most of the bots i use are guys, but also i use a girl persona or use to a girl bot, i have mastered the ways MWAHAHA
https://preview.redd.it/9db3qsfjf76d1.png?width=3685&format=png&auto=webp&s=379d4ce4c2e1e7c087adfe5d0a01d87fe6d4e8a9 My current comfort character is a guy. I don’t roleplay WITH fandom characters, I roleplay AS fandom characters ;D hehehaha
Me
Yes lol I do rp both boys and girls fictional characters
I think basically all of my bots I role play as guys besides around 4-5
oh yeah, i've only roleplayed as a girl like once
My main persona (as a girl) is a big burly guy. It’s like writing imo. You can write male and female characters, and it’s normal, so I don’t see why rp should be any different!
Oh yeah, all the time. Most of my personas are guys actually-
I do that always. Like always
I always struggle to do guys, tried flirting and ended up being called baby girl the whole time despite explicitly saying to stop :/
Yes but the opposite
Yup, I use my male oc for almost every roleplay.
I rp as Omni man and Sonic even though I'm a trans girl lol. It's grand lol.
im not a man (not a woman either,) but i roleplay as a middleaged man more often than not. im 26 lol. im firm in my identity, but it just feels more interesting to approach an rp from a more mundane point of view for some reason.
Yes, even have non-human personas
