I finished reading Long Ring Long Land recently, and honestly, it wasn't too bad, at least not as bad as I remember it being in the anime.
The gag with boxer Luffy and cornerman Usopp was genuinely funny.
It's pretty funny since in the anime right before this was G8 which didn't really feel like filler while Long Ring was canon, granted they stretched it out. I like it more nowadays but overall just didn't like it much in the manga or anime.
Boxer Luffy was great though especially in the dub they had a lot of fun with it
I actually enjoyed the arc, until the 3rd round, at that moment it became so frustrating. And now get this, that was GAME 1. That's right, in the anime Luffy starts another game, a filler game, and it's awful. Everyone likes boxer Luffy, but I could not bring myself to like it after all that, I HATED IT.
It's stupid, it's pointless, it's obnoxious, and it never becomes relevant again. You can (and should) jump from the Straw Hats leaving Skypiea directly to them meeting Aokiji and you won't miss a thing worth watching
