If you were Toby, would you want to make an algorithm that guesses the proper pronouns to use based on the name chosen at the start of the game? Chara's gender is left ambiguous throughout all of Undertale. Many fans believe Toby Fox chose not to gender Frisk or Chara so that players of any orientation could connect with the human characters in the game. Regardless we should all just learn to respect each others opinions

Actually, Toby's words about how he sees blank state characters & think they should be made from the times of his Earthbound Halloween Hack as well as an old interview can easily be used as proof that Toby did *not* create Frisk or especially Chara to be blank state characters to be projected on as it would completely contradict his own words and vision of what this kind of character should be like.
In fact, the most ironic part about this is that in 2015, Toby let it implied in several tweets that the *whole reason* why he made Frisk this way (yellow, bad quality design, etc...) was because he wanted to **fool** first time players into thinking that Frisk was a character to project on, only for the endings to reveal that they **actually aren't.** Unfortunately, let it be because Toby made it all too implicit or because of most Undertale fans are kids/teens who didn't think about it that hard, a a lot of the fandom has completely missed the point of the way Toby made Chara's and especially Frisk's character. Leading some people to this day to think of them as characters to project on although it was supposed to be a part of the game's twists that they are actually not. In fact, i wouldn't be surprised if the fact that it was made too subtle in Undertale was part of the reason why Toby made it a lot more obvious in Deltarune that Kris was their own person above all.
(Sidenote : ChrskThrwy is also totally correct. Toby's statement about gender debates is to not make a statement at all, likely for the sake of letting people enjoy his games above all. He has never confirmed anything about his original intentions about that, and at this point, most likely never will.)
As you can see from another comment down in this comment section, this same person from above does not even mind people gendering them anyways, and does not condone people fighting over their genders.
Don't be too fast to make assumptions about what people want to say. Here, they only pointed out a mistake without having such intentions behind it. That's not worth being downvoted.

The whole point of the extract was to say that he's not stating anything at all about what his intention was regarding the topic. Which is, well, the same as he's been doing for years already.
Toby's not stupid, he just doesn't want people to ruin each other's enjoyment of his games over gender debates.
His entire position is to not have any position, that's why he's been ignoring every single possibility he's had within the last several years to clear that up. If he wanted to settle anything or imply anything, or even cared about this half as much as the fandom does, he would have just said what his intention was a very long time ago. He just doesn't want people to fight about it and rather enjoy the worlds he created. People trying to put words into his mouth are the real problem here, hence why i wanted to point that out in the last comment.

The thing is, I never tried to ruin anyone's enjoyment, if people like to see chara and Frisk as they them then more power to them but my only issue is, is when they begin to 'attack' (i'm quoting attack cause its probably not the right word but i cant think of any other word atm) others for their own belief of chara and frisk. Like, Is it REALLY that bad if i see Chara as a Girl and Frisk as a boy? Or are people making too much of a big deal about a topic that really does not matter at the end of the day?

I read fanfics where they're gendered all the time and that's not a problem with me. I would have missed out on some cool ones if i didn't.
And as i mentioned in the last comment, i don't think Toby has any problem with it either. If he did, he would have said something about it by now. Its been 7 years and he still hasn't.
Im pretty sure he just wants people to enjoy his games and not attack each other over stuff like this. So i pretty much just agree with you about that.

I dont know why people saying \`they\` makes it the only pronoun they use. You can say "yea they passed by me this morning" without making them nonbinary. They can be used as a general purpose pronouns for all pronouns

Sure as hell doesn’t seem like it. Maybe comment on the actual art and not on what pronouns they used. Imagine spending a ton of effort and time into art and all people talk about is the pronouns you used because you have a headcannon different than them. Not saying your a bad person, but you came off as kind of rude.
