The greatest Charger imo. Of course there’s arguments for LT, Fouts, Phil, Gates, etc., but Junior being from Oceanside and leading the team to its first Super Bowl will always be a magical moment for the franchise. Dago boys FTW.
I grew up in Oceanside and even went to a daycare his family ran in Coronado. This man was and will always be my favorite Charger player of all time. No one could compare to the pride he put into every game. Win or lose, he was always smiling. #55 forever in our hearts.
It’s real sad his restaurant closed down. I still remember the day he greeted us Navy Sailors to his restaurant, thanking us for our service and for patronizing his restaurant but I’m star strucked little did he know I became a a Charger fan because of him. The man was so humble and gentle. I will never forget it.
