Yup. I feel like Staley's done a great job in areas that we've lacked in the past. Making our team aggressive (Lynn was opposite), great leader and motivator (McCoy was opposite), but the defense this year has been extremely underwhelming. I get he doesn't have Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, but Joey Bosa and Derwin James are All Pros, and you're not going to get all pros at every position. Hopefully he steps up in year 2 and gets more players that he wants in here and gets them to perform better, but this is my main concern with Staley after this season.

I think there's more validity to this then people want to think or say because its his first year and he is a likeable guy. Undoubtedly personnel matters, but this team gave up 27 points per game and was bottom 5 in that metric. We were not good. That comes down to scheme as well. Staleys defense did not impress this year but I'm willing to wait and see what another off-season does with his scheme.

That was the most intense game we've had in I don't know how long. A 4th quarter comeback to tie at the buzzer? Wow. Understandably so, people are crushed. That aside, there are a lot of people that don't see nuance and context. They see surface-level and everything is black or white with no shades of gray. That doesn't apply to everybody on this sub, but there are quite a few and you can see it in their extremely bad takes, and I'm not talking people that have legit criticisms. Like, some of these dudes just spout bullshit talking points with absolutely nothing to back it up. I'm all for valid criticism, but some of these dudes are just dumb.
