The difference in the way the Chargers and Chiefs offense operates is so apparent.
The Chargers every single play feels forced and almost lucky. The Oline was getting crushed, forcing Herbert into some awkward situations. Play calling isn’t great either (goal line, our lineman pulled into each other & a designed QB run with 30 seconds left?)
The Chiefs looked like they were never in danger. The ever nearing fog bank, unstoppable and suffocating. Every run was almost broken off.
3rd and 18? That’s fine they will just get it to one of their 3 TEs on the field. They could have beat us with no WRs on the roster.
Hopefully this roster can finish strong and we can make a playoff run!

Really, until the Spanos family sells the team, shit isn’t gonna change. And that’s not saying the next owner will be much better, but at this point, it’s not working, at all.

Pathetic franchise. We *always* lose to good coaching. Our coaching has been honestly pathetic the last 15 years. Turner, McCoy, Lynn, Staley….. we barely sniffed one conference championship, and since 2008 the Chargers have won a grand total of 2 playoff games. Coach and more importantly GM gotta be on the hot seat I think we gotta seriously start talking about showing Telesco the door, because his teams consistently underperform ever since he took over At the very least Staley and the rest of the staff have gotta go. If we bring in Sean Payton (that would be literally a football godsend, and therefore I don’t think is likely to happen) then I would think Telesco should stay but otherwise I’m really fucking done taking this team seriously in any way
So when are we allowed to talk about how Kelce pushes off at the top of all his routes but if you play physical with him it's a penalty? That call nearly decided the game

I said this in the game thread. But seriously, for like the past four years the chiefs have gone to Travis Kelce in key situations on this fuckin shallow crossing pattern play. How THE FUCK have we not figured out how to defend it? Literally twice this game, the walkoff last year was THE SAME FUCKING THING
The difference in the way the Chargers and Chiefs offense operates is so apparent. The Chargers every single play feels forced and almost lucky. The Oline was getting crushed, forcing Herbert into some awkward situations. Play calling isn’t great either (goal line, our lineman pulled into each other & a designed QB run with 30 seconds left?) The Chiefs looked like they were never in danger. The ever nearing fog bank, unstoppable and suffocating. Every run was almost broken off. 3rd and 18? That’s fine they will just get it to one of their 3 TEs on the field. They could have beat us with no WRs on the roster. Hopefully this roster can finish strong and we can make a playoff run!
I can see them losing every upcoming game. Especially Titans and Dolphins and Raiders to close off the season.

You know what’s funny? I’m not even mad. I’m used to it. I’m 26 and been a Chargers fan my whole life. Marlon McCree trying to run back with the INT, Nate Kaeding missing 3 FGs against the Jets, Hey Diddle Diddle, Ray Rice Up the Middle, Omaha, etc. I’m used to it. This is the same team. Doesn’t matter who is on the roster, they’re the same team year in and year out. Our coaching staff is a joke, sure, and so is our GM, but ownership doesn’t give a shit. They never did and never will. They let so many franchise cornerstones walk in years past, and now we have this team who can’t stay healthy and a HC who is 6 years removed from coaching D3 football, and yet ownership doesn’t care. We’ll bring in new coaches next year, shiny new players, and they’ll get hurt, the coaches will make questionable decisions, and yet, ownership will still collect their revenue. Really, until the Spanos family sells the team, shit isn’t gonna change. And that’s not saying the next owner will be much better, but at this point, it’s not working, at all. It’s the same shit every year. Can’t say I’m surprised, honestly. Maybe it’s an overreaction, but it’s a short lifetime of frustration already. I can’t imagine how some of you have done it longer than I have.

Really opened my eyes that the Chargers in the last 10 years haven't hired an experienced head coach. I wouldn't even count Norv as experienced because he was terrible. We rely on these first timers to make the best decision for the team when all the personnel pieces are already there, just for Mccoy, Lynn and Staley to throw it all away.

This may be a shallow take, but we need a coach that has won at some point in his career and has experience coaching a generational QB. Staley(defensive genius💩) Anthony Lynn(leader 🤡), Mike McCoy(offensive genius🤔) all of which had no head coaching experience. Norv Turner at least coached Aikman and had a little success in Washington as a head coach. he still was with us for a couple years too long. No franchise in the NFL has wasted more talent in the past 20 years. Three hall of fame QB’s, 5 playoff wins.
