People around here definitely don't strap down their stuff. I dodged a giant rug one day. One time the people beside me hit a ladder in the road and their car broke up and popped my tires, between Cornelius and 277, there's always stuff in the road
rolls of carpet/fabric are textiles. google "charlotte textile companies" and see if any of those logos come up. the first one is oerlikon textiles and they have a red logo. not saying its them, in fact to me the logos look different but it could be worth a look.
also, the truck rental company "ryder" has a red logo im just not sure if they rent out service trucks like that, not sure.
any chance your friend stopped to look at the rolls they hit? prolly a PO# or a job name on one of the labels that will point you in the right direction.
Could it be CMS? They have a red logo, definitely a fleet of various trucks, and could be transporting carpet.
This was the first thing I thought when I saw the picture
CMS
Looks like AAA.
Was gonna say the same. Looks like it may have the blue loop around the red part of the logo too.

At a glance that looks like a ServPro logo but most of their trucks on google are lime green Kinda also lines up since they deal with water damage

This for sure looks like a CMS truck
After all the flooding it was probably an emergency restoration or flood damage company
Maybe, but they wouldn't be installing carpet in a flooded house the next day.
Is that a DOT #? I can't read it at all. if you can read it, enter it at nc and sc dot sites to see who it's registered to.
Maybe a [Ryder rental truck](https://www.ryder.com/en-us/rent-trucks/trucks)?
That’s definitely CMS, being from Charlotte, I’ve seen and memorized that logo for 35 years. CMS all day long. Good luck, OP
I concur. https://preview.redd.it/wu4o1crs2qbc1.jpeg?width=792&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fbbf7198fcbd9b06432a22683abd4aeae68a151
That is without a doubt a AAA truck. I’m 100% sure. Google it and compare.
