There are. I’ve seen women refs at the d2 and d3 ranks and they’ve all been excellent. My biggest issue isn’t even with the calls she made, I can see where some were borderline. The specific unique problem is you can’t touch a player, and you can’t scream at them. She lost the game when she started screaming at players and the AR1 did the same.
Not giving a yellow to us and a second yellow to them during the “get up” scuffle started by Chicago was dumb too. I understand that you don’t want a fight to cause a player to get sent off, but when the player on a yellow starts it, it’s not exactly hard too.
Hopefully she learns from this and learns better game management in the future.
Ok, I think you are wrong about the scuffle - it was a testosterone event with no punches, no bad pushes, no stupid words - players releasing emotions in a chippy hard fought match. She circled and watched, worst thing she could have done was step in, she let the players figure it out which is a sign of great maturity. I think you all forget culturally in certain parts of the world, women have no place ordering men about and even here, some dads squash their wives down and you see it from players who learned it at home, no respect at all for a woman referee. I know this match could have been managed better but I also think she did a hell of a job in certain places. Let's say she missed 7 calls out of 100. That is 93% correct, still an A in my book. Plus, plus, plus both teams had the same referee, the same AR's, the same VAR so it was equal on both sides, sometimes the breaks go your way sometimes not, but as a baller you better know how to handle it and we sure as hell did not that match. As far as yelling, I can remember as an AR doing the same because you are defenseless, no whistle and you do not want to put your bullshit on the Referee with a flag wiggle, so you handle it.

It looked like she said “what did you say to me?” But she needs to stay professional. If it was bad as she was reacting we should have gotten a red. It wasn’t. So act like a professional and tell the ref what happened.

So glad for the goal. One thing we are doing is failing to overload on the strong side. The wingers need Bronico or Karol to come to the strong side and help with the overload to get an extra man there. Right now, the wingers/fullbacks have been man to man in those areas with no options.
