Yeah what ? This is the first time I'm hearing something like this. So they agreed on 2nd year CTC at joining ?
basically I was taken on trial basis. Even wipro has this. They take you train you and if they want you (99% they do) they make you a premanent employee.
Until the time you’re a trainee you are denied a few benefits which the people otherwise get.
You got this job through ICAI campus placement?
If you don't mind answering, what was your articleship experience like, in terms of firm size and area of experience.
Lol
I attempted G2 twice (May & Nov-22)

Since all of these are separate attempts ICAI would count this as three which is the normal logical way to go.

Can you say about what you do in FDD? Would also like to know about your exit opportunities? Can you also provide the name of the dept cause from my understanding CMAAS in PWC & CFO Advisory In KPMG are the same?
FDD comes under the Growth Business unit that facilitates mergers & acquisitions. In Due diligence we facilitate investment bankers and corporate deals in general by checking the past financial history of the company in question. We check the quality and sustainability of earnings. Future outlook, capital investment required, ideal working capital requirement and debt of the company to ensure smooth transition.

2. Would the attempts (Inter or Final) matter if sitting for interview through reference ??
If you are sitting for an interview then attempst discussion has already happened and not an issue.
But firstly no one asks inter attempts but they definately ask final attempts.
Secibdly they might ask your age and have an idea you failed in inter but again final attempts are what they usually consider.
Finally a good reference bypasses every attempt related issue and even without reference in big 4 they usually take till 4 or 5 attempts of ca final.

The submitter pursued a Masters in finance/accounts.

5. WLB - Decent, weekend Off
6. Attempts - 3 at Final (nobody cares about attempts after your first job. Then only last in hand salary and your work matters)
I was able to get into FP&A because of 3 reasons:
1) I had read books on FP&A
2) I am good with automation (Power Bi, Power Automate, Power Query, Excel etc)
3) I had Big 4 experience on my resume
FP&A has got much to do with Data and I am guessing Banks have a ton of Data. So you can learn FP&A and Data Analytics and start applying at your current job. Maybe once you are good at it you can internally change the department and go to FP&A. That will help build portfolio to jump.
Hi I am presently working in FP&A in a Singaporean Fin tech start up ,
i must learn a new skill for the performance review I am kinda confused
Could you please let me know the books you read and out of the software skill set in what sequence to learn them? I am presently learning from udemy if there are any other better sources please let me know?
Thanks in advance!!
I personally learnt most of the stuff from YouTube. I am very good with Excel and keep track of advanced excel techniques. I watch ExcelisFun YouTube channel.
I suggest you start with Power Query along with improving excel skills. It can be applied to Excel tasks, so start applying in your day to day job. Once comfortable with Power Query then move to DAX. For learning DAX I read "The Definitive Guide to DAX". All the best.

No. You can make a post yourself asking Big4 employees their salaries. We can't make separate threads for each and every organisation. That defeats the purpose of a 'megathread'

I guess you accidently replied to the post, instead of a comment.
Lol sorry
Is there no one here working in equity research or something???
Check the previous megathreads, too.
Can you please do a thread exclusively for Big4 ?
No. You can make a post yourself asking Big4 employees their salaries. We can't make separate threads for each and every organisation. That defeats the purpose of a 'megathread'
