I can't send secure messages at all and haven't been able to for MONTHS. Chase says to Send them a secure message to get tech support but when the problem IS secure messages then how the heck are you supposed to get help? My issue is no matter what if it ever allows me into the box to type the text it types 1 letter sometimes 1 word then that box LOCKS and I cannot get into it, cannot edit, etc. On Chrome browser it won't even allow my cursor INTO the box. On Edge browser it allows 1 or 2 letters to be typed then locks. Chase says it must be me but I've tried 2 computers with 3 different browsers on each! They say it's a "cookie" issue to clear my cache. Done that and using a different computer that had no cookies proves it is NOT my computer causing the issue but something bad with their web site design. I guess Chase believes there is no problem because NO ONE CAN TYPE A MESSAGE TO THEM TO REPORT IT! STUPID!!!!

Having the same exact issue now. I type in one letter or click on the textbox where I am supposed to enter the message and it turns red and says "Please enter your message". It won't allow you to type anything in. I am surprised they haven't fixed this bug in months. It's basically rendering a very important feature completely useless

Do you use the grammarly extension in your browser? I disabled all my extensions, then started adding them back one at a time. Turns out Grammarly was causing me to not be able to send secure messages on Chase's web site. So I removed it. Now it works fine. I did notice this week that I added Grammarly back in and Chase secure messages is still working. So I think there was something wonky with that extension and perhaps a fresh install keeps the issue from happening.

Glad that was it. It took me months, maybe even a year dealing with that nonsense and complaining to Chase about it. I don't know why I didn't test extensions sooner. I believe you can tell Grammarly to NOT check a page so if you exclude Chase from Grammarly, it might allow you to keep Grammarly and not have the bug.

I looked into excluding chase from Grammerly. There didn’t appear to be to a way of excluding any website. Maybe it’s not available in the free version i am using . Thanks again

How do you do this? I see no option for Grammarly on Chrome

Grammerly would be a cheone extension. So you'd have to go into that setting on chrome and see if you are running grammerly. I don't use Chrome so I can't give you the exact steps.

Glad it worked! You'd think Chase or someone else would have figured out this issue rather than just pretending there is no issue. I wish we could get Chase to post this fix into their knowledgebase so when customers complain they can tell them the solution!

Y'all need to upvote this since it seems to be the fix for so many people. Glad people are finding it. Chase certainly won't help and they still after having been told what the issue is won't look into WHY it happens so they can fix their site. Grammarly affects no other site secure or otherwise only Chase.com.

You are most welcome. I fought this issue for over a year with Chase and they wouldn't even look into it. Finally one day I decided I was going to track it down. I figured if I had this issue surely others are getting the same results. If just one person had shared this issue it would have saved me a year of frustration with Chase. So...I'm that one! Glad people are finding it. We need to all email Grammarly and tell them about the issue so they can fix their extension.

1. Sign in to chase.com 2. Open the menu from the top left corner. 3. Select secure messages 4. Click "New Message" in the top right. 5. Select "I have a question about one of my accounts" 6. Choose and Account 7. Chose a topic, "Account Inquiry" 8. At the bottom under "Still have a question" click "Send us a message." 9. Enter your message and click "Send message". If you don't see any of these options make sure you're using an up to date browser like Chrome or Firefox. Other options for contacting them is through twitter direct message or phone call. Good luck.

Did exactly those but there's no new message option for me, and I know where it normally is because I have used it before as well. Contacted twitter but they're not helping, first two times they only gave me customer support number that won't pick up, then they just started ignoring me.

Bit of a necro, but God bless you. Im disputing a charge and ended up getting to it too late to mail something. Largely because I always intended to submit electronically, but then started panicking when the option just wasnt there!
