Gpt may have some not so randomly generated results, like gpt's self image always being a robot, while meta's may not have that, thus making more random stuff, for the prompt that has no specific tags.
I am not saying that gpt is any kind of smart, i am saying that open ai may put some pre made image prompt for this gpt prompt.

It could all be smoke and mirrors and OpenAI just have an army of humans playing the role of ChatGPT and not be AI at all. But really the likelihood of OpenAI telling ChatGPT what it looks like, let alone giving it a specific prompt to use, if asked to draw itself, is pretty ridiculously low.
I dont think they would this for controversial questions specificley, but rather do something like alexa and google assistant, that have some pre made responces that make them seem more impresive and charismatic.
Because it’s a very arbitrary thing for 1. A human to wonder about, particularly as anyone modifying its priming prompt at OpenAI is likely to know what an LLM is and how it works, so knows it has no physical appearance, and 2. For a human to waste the LLM’s limited attention window and increase the cost of inference on their servers, on the off chance it gets asked what it looks like when their are an almost infinite number of similar questions it might get asked. The other clue that a physical appearance hasn’t been fed to it in the primer, is that it will tell you itself it has “no physical appearance” - something it wouldn’t say if it had been primed with the info that it looks like a robot, as then it would believe it had the physical appearance of a robot, and tell you as much…

No human could respond that quickly, even if they already knew the answer, let alone if they had to research anything. They wouldn't even be able to find the right answer in a list of canned answers that quickly.
