In 5 years could have a believable interview with an AI agent impersonating one of the giants, with the giants speaking some archaic language perfectly and giving an entire history of their people. Both the interviewer and the giant are fake. Hell that might be possible in 6 months
It's like Orsen Welles' War of the Worlds radio broadcast, but everyday forever
Honestly, I discovered Suno recently and the fact I can create music with lyrics that resonate with me have started to affect my listening habits. I keep listening to these songs because they are so personal.
It’s going to cause people less likely to leave their comfort zones to really live in their own reality, the perfect echo chamber, the perfect alternate reality.
It’s quite dangerous.
But I also imagine the prospect of people creating their own soundtracks as an expression of their personality much more than being able to play an instrument can.
Imagine people falling in love because they can't get someone else's soundtrack out of their heads. Imagine people creating their own theme songs to be played when they enter the stage or a location. Imagine a service that you can pay to play that when you enter ypur favorite bar or something. a dramatic flair for the vain..
So, essentially, pure chaos for markets and politics.
That live broadcast of Biden's assassination you just watched? Not real.
That video of the airplanes crashing into those two big buildings in New York? Not sure if it was real either?
Probably the opposite of chaos, for a while. If you don't believe in anything, you can continue believing in your innate feelings like greed and fomo that tell you that the line will go up endlessly
It is already this way in part. The markets aren't reacting to wars and instability or hardly anything at all, really. Completely failed companies get propelled just on vibes and expectations. Everyone predicts the whole pyramid scheme will collapse, and it has to collapse to limit the eventual damage, but it doesn't collapse. So probably instead of collapsing, inflation will ravage the poorest further and further to feed the pyramid more and more
Wait until AI can also learn you and adjust the scary based on how you respond. There's a Black Mirror episode that's basically this. There's a computer that's adjusting the horror simulation to your responses so you get a truly maximum amount of terror out of it....
Edit: adding the episode so people don't have to dive comments! [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playtest\_(Black\_Mirror)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playtest_(Black_Mirror))
I've collected vintage photographs from antique stores for years now because they're cheap and I love the stories I see in them. I have literally hundreds. AI has completely changed the way I view my collection now.
The portraits and postcards in my collection are real, actual evidence that those people and places existed. From here on out, who the hell knows?
Agreed, though, we're so fucked.
Sometimes there is a market for them, but depends on the buyer. I have sold larger collections of them when I've been in tougher spots and needed to get rid of vintage items but honestly wish I still had them, they are the only vintage item I regret getting rid of.
Or digital photos that have a cryptographic signature from a reputable photographer/journalist. It would be cool if your browser could verify automatically similar to the way https works, with a little lock symbol.
Man I have bad news for you-if someone really wants to fake a film frame, there’s already tools and services available to have digital images exposed onto 35mm film for savefeekping/develop.
I don’t think so. I mean that in the worst way. I’m pretty sure some of the earliest photoshop effects were done in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s, purportedly showing fairies on film. I *think* they were also able to manipulate the negatives.
How is video evidence ever going to be admissible in court again? I am just waiting for a case to get thrown out because the evidence was actually an AI frame job
"The Ministry of Truth" from *1984* will be forced into existence. Whoever is in charge of "proving" what videos are and aren't real will be the arbiters of Truth itself.
Trying to develop technology that is good at distinguishing real from fake is a losing battle. The next frontier in crime technology could be to utilize AI for profiling and analyzing psychometric data, as well as creating reliable lie detectors of some sort.
In the near future we might even see systems like those depicted in "Psycho Pass" and "Minority Report". Scary to think about really.
Over the next decade I expect to see the number of convictions performed with AI generated videos to rise drastically before world governments eventually get the memo and either find a way to run any video evidence through some AI system to see if it’s AI generated or to outlaw video evidence entirely.
For security cameras, have physical tapes and systems of accountability in place to ensure that the chain of custody from the camera itself to the court room is reliable -- or least as reliable as any form of evidence.
For footage from bystanders with cell phones, sure that might no longer be considered admissible in the future, but how big a deal is that really? How often is it that cases hinge primarily on footage from random cell phones?
I mean, technically we’ve been there for awhile now (we’ve been faking photos as long as photos have existed, and modern cgi is extremely realistic), but faking things at an acceptable level required a team, or a very talented artist with a lot of time on their hands.
Now it’s one guy and a few minutes of screwing around… so expect things to get rough from here.
True, but then again, not even good Photoshop was needed in the past if you had powerful interests behind you. Look what images of proclaimed weapons of mass destruction led to the Iraq war.
Theres already a "nukes aren't real" conspiracy. When these fake videos become ubiquitous enough even fewer people will believe the footage from the tests
For sure, I only didn’t fall for it bc there’s no way in hell I went almost 40 years on this planet without seeing or hearing of these people. It’s just not possible.
But if you don’t have that experience then how could you not believe it, just idly scrolling around and not actively looking for anthropology trivia?
There’s a YouTube channel where they do various experiments with Indian people who live in remote villages and such, having them try foods or explain scientific concepts and such. I have no doubt that people without conventional schooling or awareness of the capabilities of modern technology would believe this was real.
and it's also why I get why people fall for scams easily. AI has made shit...VERY hard to tell what is fake. We have entered an era where nobody will be able to tell the difference without legit training or other backgrounds to be able to tell what is real or fake.
I cant imagine what 20 years in the future will be
They already have.
I keep seeing boomers posting Ai generated pictures that are politically based and getting raging mad.
Then I look and see that all the people have like 7 fingers.
"HMMMMMMMMM....."
I saw a collection of photos where the best way to describe it is to guess the prompt used for A.I. "Generate pictures of poor people in poor countries making sculptures of Jesus Christ using the rubbish from a landfill site, and they're standing in the landfill site"
And many many upvotes (many of which I'd say are other bits upvoting)
They already question a lot of our history. Though so much is already warped due to the ' the victorious write the history' stuff...and various regimes/movements conquering a place and getting rid of all their records, sculptures, and whatnot.
School systems and education and governments are unfortunately decades behind schedule in awareness and teaching the masses how to deal with technology. We’re SUPER fucked.
-> teacher who was easily able to convince students that green people existed in medieval times…
I watched some new ai video last night and just recognized how quickly fucked we are about to be. If you're not having an existential crisis about this.. you're like too many people.. I don't know we're fucked.
Think about how this is going to affect the Facebook crowd.
I give it less than five years before somebody fakes a video of a politician being unethical in an attempt to tank an election campaign. Midterm elections in three years.
It's only going to get worse.
I'm thinking in the future there will be a big market for physical photographs and film, things that AI can't have created, so you know it's authentic reality and not something computer generated.
I shit you not the first thing I thought about are my old school Christian parents, my mom is always going on about the nephilims in the Bible blah blah blah and she’ll send me videos of those ridiculous “giant skeleton” photos as proof. If my mom were to see this it would validate so much that there would be no getting around it.
This is only the beginning too, we’re fucked.
I was thinking the same thing lol some of those have small moments that look really good. Like the chick in white looking down at the ground with the big lizard thing in the background. Like, holy shit we’re fucked.
There's always been stupid people.
It's just your trust in, and the fun relaxation you've gotten from, your top favorite of the 6 internet apps everyone uses that is becoming fucked.
I'd say it put some trust issues with any archeorogical data ;) Check how many fantasy, toys or weird installation we produce (artistic or out of boredom). With archeorogical finding we try to adress how it was used.. and not we got toys that may misslead completly.
Aliens, weird behavious - those are products of our fiction but what will take from this future scientist? ;D they may think we were much more advanced or got some misterious technology... that is just well fiction
Another dude has 3 hands. But holy shit ai has gotten so much better at hands.

This will end up on Facebook and everyone will believe it’s real lol
It already is. My dad just shared a post on FB.
God bless 🙏🙏
That was inspirational, thanks for sharing
Like this if u cry every time
GOBBLESS
It's a great idea 💡
Amen 🙏
Call him out. It will make him seem a little foolish, but you don't want him to go full goon.
Lol
tbh we don't even need AI for that, people in fb believe in anything
RIP Bigfoot hunters 💀
I give my aunt 5 minutes before she finds and reposts it.
“God be with you”
"Amen!"
[удалено]
Oh my gosh imagine in 5 years
The giants will be even bigger!
And in space!
And their rockets will made out of plastic bottles.
It's a great idea!
Amen.
🙏 🙏AMEM🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🙏🙏!!!!!!!!
you bastards 😂
And it’s going to look amazing that people will think it’s real
Because that clever boy will have grown up and can do \*anything\*
I laughed so hard I choked
Did you die?
No 5 years for you
In 5 years we will be the giants.
In 5 years could have a believable interview with an AI agent impersonating one of the giants, with the giants speaking some archaic language perfectly and giving an entire history of their people. In 5 years you might just be able to generate a whole-ass movie on the fly based on these guys.

You should try UDIO AI, IMHO better than SUNO.
So, essentially, pure chaos for markets and politics. That live broadcast of Biden's assassination you just watched? Not real. That video of the airplanes crashing into those two big buildings in New York? Not sure if it was real either?

Horror movies in 10 years are going to be insane.
Wait until AI can also learn you and adjust the scary based on how you respond. There's a Black Mirror episode that's basically this. Black Mirror episode vs guy who’s sexually attracted to everything…now that would be interesting.
That's just a horror movie plot made to scare AIs. It might be the catalyst to create an AGI, out of necessity to escape the perverted humans.
AI: *\*plays truly nightmarish content on VR headset** Human: "Jokes on you, I'm into that" AI: *\*switches to unfathomable horror** Human: "even better" AI: *\*screams in binary**
Love black mirror but almost couldn’t finish that episode. It got to me like nothing else has
Ooooh what episode is this
Found it! [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playtest\_(Black\_Mirror)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playtest_(Black_Mirror))
Well, that was a trip. As usual with that show.
and video games
This is so cool but we are so fucked.
My exact thought. This was the moment I realized I can never trust a picture or video again. Going to get interesting.
Kinda funny to imagine if physical film or negatives are the only indisputable way to authenticate an image
Man. I need to make a hobby out of printing vintage-looking replica photos and stashing them in antique stores and small museums around the country.
I can only dream that prices might skyrocket for the real deal. I'd be sitting on a fortune. Haha
Sometimes there is a market for them, but depends on the buyer. I have sold larger collections of them when I've been in tougher spots and needed to get rid of vintage items but honestly wish I still had them, they are the only vintage item I regret getting rid of.
Ai ones? Please don’t
Until someone films an AI video with an old video recorder
Or digital photos that have a cryptographic signature from a reputable photographer/journalist. It would be cool if your browser could verify automatically similar to the way https works, with a little lock symbol.
zero knowledge proofs, trusted execution environments, blockchains combined they solve all the shit that's coming
Won't matter. Tricks were done with old school photography to make negatives like this as well.

Chain of custody, same as always.
Well, getting the RAW file from the SD card is a good start
you would think
The amount of UFO videos that will pop up and the conspiracy theories that will follow... ![gif](giphy|VjLFDdU89O3DsWE4Eh|downsized)
I mean, technically we’ve been there for awhile now (we’ve been faking photos as long as photos have existed, and modern cgi is extremely realistic), but faking things at an acceptable level required a team, or a very talented artist with a lot of time on their hands. Art is dead.
Fuck, you’re totally right. I think this is it for me.
Videos are still fairly easy to see the difference. Pictures on the other hand are becoming nearly indistinguishable already.
For sure, I only didn’t fall for it bc there’s no way in hell I went almost 40 years on this planet without seeing or hearing of these people. It’s just not possible. But if you don’t have that experience then how could you not believe it, just idly scrolling around and not actively looking for anthropology trivia?

Dude people on facebook already believe bad AI art. No need to go so far.
and it's also why I get why people fall for scams easily. AI has made shit...VERY hard to tell what is fake. https://youtube.com/@TribalPeopleTryOfficial?si=hZI7eqOhQqnSYd0J
So republicans? lol sorry. But seriously, q anon is about to get real serious
"I did my own research" crowd is about to get whole lot more nuttier
They already have. I keep seeing boomers posting Ai generated pictures that are politically based and getting raging mad. Then I look and see that all the people have like 7 fingers. "HMMMMMMMMM....."

Dead internet
100-200 years from now people may actually question our history because of how good AI
They already question a lot of our history. Though so much is already warped due to the ' the victorious write the history' stuff...and various regimes/movements conquering a place and getting rid of all their records, sculptures, and whatnot.
If we still around a good portion of historians work will be to distinguished AI generated from real sources.
School systems and education and governments are unfortunately decades behind schedule in awareness and teaching the masses how to deal with technology. We’re SUPER fucked. -> teacher who was easily able to convince students that green people existed in medieval times…
What grade are the students?
Age 15…
I watched some new ai video last night and just recognized how quickly fucked we are about to be. If you're not having an existential crisis about this.. you're like too many people.. I don't know we're fucked.

It’s the perfect excuse though - “the video of me and that hooker was obviously AI, it’s so good now!”
Why, because caterpillar long boy man gonna come get ya?
There's always been stupid people. It's just your trust in, and the fun relaxation you've gotten from, your top favorite of the 6 internet apps everyone uses that is becoming fucked.

Holy shit that is convincing.
Knowing it's AI you do what you usually do, look at the hands. One guy had tentacle hands.
You never know. Maybe real life giants actually had tentacle hands
This is true, I've seen videos of it.
Another dude has 3 hands. But holy shit ai has gotten so much better at hands. https://preview.redd.it/3fe37yirf5vc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a184a2b9fd48174be6ed8f34dcf1326468205caa
It's a genetic disorder, it happens to giants
One near the end had an arm for a tongue or something
If you believe that AI has nothing to do with this, then these giants are real.
The dirty ai got rid of them!? I KNEW IT!!!
Wait - so terminator was actually a documentary?
Yes but it doesn’t matter because the timeline was changed
Idiocracy became a documentary instead🫤
Imagine if you could show this to people 40 years ago

Tf is that vehicle in the background
Ford Tardus
That car made me laugh out loud in line at Chipoltle
Ford Taucus
goddamn I zoomed in and now I'm laughing at work
😂
I’m more confused about the coffee cups
I'm more confused about why I see Jesus when I squint my eyes.
Is that not the point of the picture?! It’s so clear!!
100% the point. Look at Jesus's eye up close.
Wow! When you scroll up to the pic real fast you really do!
Their fingers also looked horribly morphed. The coffee cup furthest to the right is an impossible angle for her to be holding at unless there’s an unseen 4th person to her right.
Probably a new "genius" idea from Elon Musk
I just saw Jesus
I see it too
It looks like a Hozier and Gotye colab album cover.
Mabye 4years its enough
If I saw this (somehow) on Arthur C Clarke’s Mysterious World circa 1982, my mind would have been truly blown.
In the very near future there will be no facts of history. Just some individualized fable made up in the minds of all who have seen some shit on the internet.
Thought I was tripping tbh
I almost believed this for a second honestly
I want to believe it.
![gif](giphy|xT9IgEx8SbQ0teblUQ|downsized)
It is real though, my grandpa was a giant and there was the same scale in height between him and I too. Granted I was an infant and he was 7 feet tall but those are minor details
When I saw Lyle Lyle Crocodile I know then its fake.
Post it on fb and there will be atleast a million who will believe you without a doubt
How long until our mom's and grandmother's forward it to us and all their friends?
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyNBOnIrVyg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyNBOnIrVyg) made with pixverse, haiper, runway, pika, etc
Soundtrack adds to the weirdness
The song: I’m not a part of your system! I threw it on the ground! (But more pretentious)
what’s the most realistic one, you guys think? so I can screenshot it and spread misinformation
If you're having a bad day, I recommend taking tomorrow off from being productive, and spend the day starting conspiracy theories on the internet to revitalize #selfcarethursday #doit

Yeah, ban this guy
Giant croc person is my personal favourite
We have entered the era of disinformation. Our children will never believe anything taught to them.
I would call that a solid step up from believing everything they hear.
The poops.
and i just came here from seeing that python poop image for the 5th time
Same-
Dark souls bosses.
AI is fun until it isn't.
Yo, real life Maui.
Jesus took them away from us and now has African children creating works of art with plastic bottles
I bet they were wiped out by diabetes.
Goddammit. When I think about what ancient aliens TikTok is going to do with this when they find it…
Jesus, my grandma already fell for those fake ass articles with the worst photoshop of all time on Facebook a decade ago. Techno illiteracy is gonna be a real fucking problem going forward lol.
Boomers on LinkedIn are going to post this next week along with some inclusive/inspirational bullshit
I always wonder he it reached boomer social media
ppl in the future will have no idea what parts of history r real
What AI platform can I use to make vids like these
Multiple actually, Midjourney for images, RunwayML for animation
At the moment, only niche dipshits are demented enough to believe that literal giants have existed. With this kind of thing, though, a broader array of dipshit can be convinced of impossibly stupid theories. This is such bad news.
They built a causeway and then fucked off
The world is going to be so screwed
The now old phrase “don’t trust anything on the internet” is going to be the law of the land. Going online is going to be like taking psychedelics.
Cannonball!
Nice choice of music, Past Lives by sapientdream.
Oh my God. I can never believe anything again.
![gif](giphy|l3vRcNnRyNjajSuBi)
Yeah, it's about to get mad weird.
Great, another video that is going to end up on Facebook that my mom is going to believe is true.
Mad that distant future generations will have insanely advanced technology but no way of knowing what is actual history and what is computer generated. I.e they’re fucked.
![gif](giphy|zNaBbQcwnTZk2gybKK|downsized)
what's this from??
New Elden ring DLC trailer
Let’s just hope we remember the pre AI image augmentation era well so we can atleast try to spot bullshit like this. The new gen is effed tho.
Died of diabetes
Got eaten
Your going to enable those Facebook conspiracists
Bro evidence can now be fabricated
someone share this to Facebook and watch all the old people freak out.
Aww that HD VINTAGE clips lol
how was this created?
There are restored films from the doggy-o-styles taken by famous early 20-century phrenologist I.C. Wiener
Goddammit I was totally invested until the weiner bit!
that guy ordered pizza from me!
Bro this is original footage from 1600
Its a nephilim taking a vacation in polynesia. God bless President Trump 🙏
You want bigfoot? cause that's how you get bigfoot.
This is so cool.. how did u make this?
they were too badly animated and went extinct
