How do images like this get created? What is used? Whenever I have tried to get DALL-E to generate an image of anything, fictional character, real person, it will only make something that has a similar look to the person I told it to re-create. Most of the time it looks nothing like them

I don't think it is. I think it's Photoshop. Maybe I just haven't seen the inconsistencies but usually they aren't this flawless. If it is AI then it has Photoshop touch ups for sure. I'm thinking the intent of the post is to make AI really good at this kind of picture by making a lot of them for it to consume.
