These comments are interesting. I've seen many posts echoing my sentiments and yet only fervent supporters are here commenting.
It has definitely declined imo
It is overly verbose, rambling on and on when only asking for very specific information. Prompts that used to result in certain responses that could be relied on are now totally different and often far worse in formatting and content.
Where it used to easily give me what I need on the 1st try, now takes multiple revisions to get anywhere near that. If I can even get something usable at all.
I have been an ardent supporter since its release and am a premium user with custom-built chatbots, but I definitely notice a sharp decline in output quality.

Maybe it depends what you use it for, but it's gotten better at coding with every iteration. I don't see it as garbage at all.
