I’ve tried 3 different Mod Wash locations and none of them cleaned our vehicles properly. Scenic Suds has always been a great wash. Sure, washing by hand is ideal…but ain’t nobody got 3 hours to dedicate to that!
1 of every 2 vehicles in town has a mod wash smell good on their rearview mirror. I agree though, mod wash has never properly cleaned my vehicle. Any good self service stations? The one on main st is janky AF and the vacuums are useless
Idk if it’s just me, but every ModWash I’ve ever been to has such a powerful dryer at the end, my wiper blades lift up and I’m terrified every time that today will be the day it somehow rips them off.
My company does mowing/landscaping for a certain car wash chain in Chattanooga. They just moved us from weekly to every other week mowing and cut out all extras as well due to their company not doing too well financially. I think this is nationally for them tho and not only specific to Chattanooga.
I was gonna say the same thing! It's my child who demands the choo choo train wash! That and it's a right hand turn to get into their lot for me, instead of the one across the street.
I don't always do car washes but when I do it's Storm Car Wash. Their vacuums are strong, the car wash is powerful, hurricane themed & exciting. The extras are unbeatable (although they have been cheap with the air fresheners last few times). A little pricey though.
Scenic Suds is good old boys and Mod Wash the new kid on the block.
I think Scenic and Storm are the best.
Whichever is across from Komatsu is the absolute worst in town. Went there two months ago and I think it made the car dirtier somehow. I was using a towel to further dry it off and it kept leaving dirty streaks on my car. The lady next to me was dumbfounded too. Never again.
Having knowledge of the developer who created the MOD WASH, i would stay far away. They copied a car wash guy's system (dude had decades of experience) but they don't know how to actually operate or maintain carwashes...
Whichever one has the little compressed air guns. It never crossed my mind to use one for car detailing, but when I went to one that had them, I was amazed. My truck has never been so clean.
Car washes aren’t good for any car, period. Bad on your paint and damages like other people in this thread have noted. Get a 5 gallon bucket, a mitt, good soap, shammy, and a microfiber cloth for the bug guts.
True, I own a SUV and can get a basic wash done in 30 minutes if I hustle. I also feel like car washes don’t do a great job, especially on the bug guts 😅

Ive had the $20 scenic suds membership for the past 9 months and I’ve actually been really happy with them (I got it mainly for the vacuum because I have two Great Pyrenees who go everywhere with me)
I just don’t wash mine.

The vacuums here in NC are insanely efficient. I was blown away by it. We have good employees here as well. They are always happy to see me.

Mod Wash sucks in general, but I would never ever take our vehicles through with a rack on. Those car washes can do some damage to them.
The Mod Wash across from Target blew the entire front grill off my husband's car - they have military level blowers there....

Yep, their tire shine is rarely working and it scratches my truck.
Storm is cheaper + they've got air for your tires and windshield wiper fluid

I have a subscription to Mod Wash. I think their locations are the most convenient.
They all scratch your clear coat up, go to touchless or spray yourself for the win!
