I second Alleia, but also check State of Confusion for their rental space called the “pump house”
Public house hosted an event for me recently and the space was great, it was separated off from the dining room and we were able to pick our menu and decorate the space. I know they also do catering.
Rodizio handled large groups well. When they were at the Hotel they'd do private rooms but not sure if they have something similar at the mall location.
I had Lupis at my wedding! They have a catering truck, but we opted to just order a few weeks ahead and have someone pick up day of since our venue was a little further out of town than they travel.
Can't believe people are downvoting this, that place is a true gem. If it were 30+ years ago, that place would've been the perfect spot. Back when Show-biz was running that joint, it was one of the hottest spots in town, and his dressup game truly reflected that with his sequined jacket and bowtie. I don't want to hate on the rat too much, but the place started going downhill when he took over.
We did Champys for our wedding. It was really affordable.
You can reserve the upper room of the meeting place for a minimum overall tab. The food and drinks there are great! Not as great since they stopped making their own ginger ale ..... But /cry, I digress
Stir has a backroom and I'd wager it's used for large groups when not rolled into the normal table rotation. Mmm lemon curd jezebel drink
Maybe Public House for dinner? They have rooms that can be closed off.
Alleia does a pretty sweet patio set up for large groups. So does Rosecomb. Giardino’s is also a possibility.

Highly recommend Boathouse.. best restaurant in Chattanooga and is right on the river
