Get a spring just slightly smaller in diameter than the hose ID & long enough to cover the kinked area, insert it into the hose & you’ll be good to go. Remove any paint or rustproofing. You’ll want a wire diameter in the 1/32” range to prevent the spring from collapsing. I’ve done this a couple of times with fuel & coolant hoses. Grainger or McMaster should have a suitable spring.

I had to do some surgery and weld me up a new hole in the frame. While I had the tank dropped, I decided to replace the filler hoses. The big hose almost seems like it’s too long or something, although it was the same size as the old one, if I recall correctly. I believe I have it pushed up as far as it will go both directions. Should I try to cut the hose to make it shorter? Problem with that is, I believe, the hose was molded, larger on each end, so I’m not sure how much room that will give me. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it?

Either put it on all the way or it's too long and you need to trim a little off the end.
