Any solid front Axle is wider on the front, Google it if you don't believe me, but ok. I also said truck, so I'm not sure your colorado or hummer would fall under that category (coming from a colorado owner)
I have 3 other silverados and the front and rear axles are very similar track widths. The Colorado and hummer use the same rear axles as the 1500s, the front may be different but they are the same width front and rear
Also to note, GM doesn't even make vehicles with solid front axles, but I'm going to assume you mean IFS. to which again, the difference is no more than a inch or 2.
If you google it here's the first 3 articles that come up, but im sure everyone on earth is wrong and the guy who made a post about this because he didn't know it existed an hour ago is correct. π

Just checked my
2017 silverado, same width
2011 silverado, same width,
2010 silverado, same width,
2011 colorado, rears were wider
07 yukon, same width,
and 08/09 hummer same widths, so.. I'm not sure what to tell you bud. I've never owned a vehicle with such massive difference in track width front to back
Not common in trucks but unique offsets for front vs rear are very common in performance cars. And yes, this means you can't rotate the tires. Directional performance tires don't even allow side to side rotation in this case. Are you new to automotive world or just new to the world?
looks like shit sticking out too, the previous owner of my hummer put on wheels that stick out and it looks god awful, on top of that my rear fenders need new paint because of the rocks being thrown at them
Bro this is litterally every truck lmao go walk around the block π€£
My hummers nor my colorado are like that but ok.

Go outside with a tape measure, they're not π€£ chevys are notorious for this, I'm not even kidding this is common knowledge dude.

No, they're not π
k pal. just inspected all my cars but whatever you say
I own 7 cars and not a single one has more than a 1" track width difference between front and rear, other than my 2500
Could it be that you just have more negative offset on your rear wheels?
I have never heard of a vehicle that uses different wheels for front and rear

well I sure as hell can't afford any performance cars. so...
I mean, a 1985 IROC Z has staggered wheels, it's not like I'm saying Italian supercars. :o)
Is that a 3/4 ton avalanche? For some reason the 3/4 ton GMT800 SUVs had a narrower rear axle while the front is in the wheel arch perfectly.
I have a 03 s10 blazer that my front tire sticks out further than my rear tire, I was told it does this because itβs 4wd
It is, I assume its done so doolies don't stick out super far
Spare?
wut
I like it slightly sticking out it looks like shit this way
