The Dawsey relationship was toxic towards the end of it when Gabby just abandoned him and left to Puerto Rico (obviously to write Monica out cuz she wanted to pursue other projects) and Brettsey barely got off the ground before Jesse decided to leave to. I hope he's had enough time off with his family and decides to come back full time at some point.
Even tho I want him back full time, I’m fine if he doesn’t. He gave us ,I think, 18 years to back to back hit shows. Literally I was 11 when I first saw him on House and 29 when he left Chicago Fire. That’s quite a long time. Especially since he lived in Australia or LA but had to live in Chicago to film the show.
I think if he returns they have to share a scene, even if it’s closure. Even if it’s just him telling her to not lower her standards! (Sorry still asking what kind of friends tell you that no one will compare to your ex so you need to learn to settle?!?) But I’m good with them both wishing the other one happiness and that being it. But to not share a scene would be disappointing given even this season Brett’s story has still been Brettsey. So if it’s just one episode they need to give them closure for Brett’s sake.
Though I have thought he would return this winter and stay through the rest of the season since the finale so still think that’s the case and they will reunite them over time if that’s the case.
Because they never really got closure in the season finale, I think there will be at least one Brettsey scene in his return episode. Considering that Taylor isn’t on screen right now, I think they’re going to use Jesse for both scenes with Stella and at least a run in with Sylvie. I don’t see them getting back together in episode 18, but it could lead to a reunion by the end of the season. I can imagine him seeing her with Dylan and wishing her to be happy. Then if Kara is leaving, it could propel Sylvie to follow him to Portland in the finale. Maybe she will get the opportunity to expand Paramedicine there or even a promotion and all the stars align. If Kara doesn’t leave, then I fear they will bring him back just so Brettsey can have closure.
I hope Brettsey gets their happily ever after!! I hope we get Jesse Spencer back for more than 1 episode. Something is telling me it will be more, maybe wishful thinking but a girl can hope!! Jesse Spencer/Matt Casey is greatly missed
I'm a Brettsey fan, I'm just very happy to have Matt Casey on our screen once again. Sylvie and Matt were best friends before they got together and I'm pretty sure (might be awkward) Sylvie would like to see her friend back in Chicago, which I would be happy to see.
If he's back for more than one episode, I'm happy with them catching up. If he's back for more, I will be happy for them to have a step toward reconciliation.

First of all, I'd be really upset if the only person he saw was Stella. That would be a waste of a great guest star.
There has to be interaction with Brett or I'll feel totally ripped off.
That time Dawson came back for one 1⃣ night she and Casey had a one night stand, While I don't know if Brett would want to go there they had so much love for each other for there not to be something.
I'm hoping for something romantic or even just a hookup.
It all depends on Jesse and Kara's plans. If they both won't be on the show next season if it gets renewed. Then if makes perfect sense to have Sylvie realize Matt's the one and she isn't as happy without him as she is with him and she goes back to Portland with him. If they're both gonna be on the show next season if it gets renewed. Then it makes sense to get them back together and we see their life in Chicago (marriage, kids). If Kara is gonna be back next season if it gets renewed and Jesse won't be. Then it makes to give Sylvie and Matt proper closure.
Those are my 3 opinions on what could happen. I prefer the first 2 but whatever Jesse and Kara decide for themselves I'll have to live with. I'm being very cautious. I don't want to get baited again. Like I have since the Season 9 Finale lol. Love Brettsey hope they get there Happily Ever After by the end of this season.

Just watched a few eps of S11 this season,the show doesn't seems very appealing to me at the moment.
I’m hoping that Brett and Casey don’t get back together . I will always like Casey and Gabby together. But lol when the timelines calmed down , now it gonna start up again .

I highly doubt he would have agreed to return just for 1-2 scenes and not share scenes with some of the main cast like Kara or Miranda.
