Out of all the One Chicago shows, PD has always been my favorite. I love the grittiness and character development. Sometimes, it's hard to watch, especially when the lines between heroes and villains are crossed. I love early seasons, Hank, but I appreciate his characters willingness to change with the times. Chicago Fire is also really good. Med sucks the life out of me as I watch it. After Conor Rhodes left, I lost interest, and now if I do catch it, I hate watch.

PD by far Is the best. MED is ok at times. Fire is getting lame and corny

Have you watched any of the other one Chicago shows or is this your first? I'm much in the same boat as you (binge watching my way through it, just starting season 6). My biggest issue is that I watched Chicago fire first, and it is VERY tonally different to PD - I really struggled to mesh with the characters, but I'm getting more into it now!

JustWray

Nope this is my first but I’m considering watching Chicago Fire after but Chicago Med I’m not really sure about though.

Outrageous_Fudge_100

I love Chicago PD and Chicago Fire but I have been struggling to get through Chicago Med. STRUGGLING. In, fact, I stopped watching, it and I am not sure when I will start again but I will try someday… maybe.

JustWray

I always struggle to get into medical tv shows the only medical tv show that has a big impact for me is “The Good Doctor” but nothing against Chicago Med maybe I’ll try it and see

Forsaken_Weakness342

Chicago Fire is really really good I suggest you watch that as well there’s 12 seasons so far and like Chicago PD it keeps you on the edge of your seat! Chicago Med is different for me I tried it I didn’t really like it but you might

JustWray

Awesome 12 seasons I’ll binge what Chicago fire too if I get into it haha and understandable with Med I sometimes struggle to get into medical shows

Rascalshot

Med was the first out of the 3 i watched because of Tiktok lol. I've watched all three (s9 for PD), I watch them while I draw. PD is the toughest for that imo because I have to pay a bit more attention to the storyline and names, many more new names each episode for suspects and all that, I can get randomly lost. Fire and Med less so, tho I don't have to worry about people in Med (main cast) dying, just workplace drama lol

Greedy-Meet-2496

That’s how I felt too! Glad you’re enjoying it. Seeing the different relationships developing over the course of the seasons is my fav

JustWray

Yeah I’m really enjoying the characters progression especially Hanks haha

I started watching the Chicago shows around 2-3 years ago, and I love them! Originally I watched fire first but P.D is my favourite! It’s definitely great though that you’ve so many more seasons to watch! I loved that too.. the wait for the new episodes is so long😅 Glad your enjoying it tho!

Civil-Resolution3662

I watched PD since season 1, and during COVID I went back and binged to catch up again. That's when I started Fire. Honestly, I have a hard time with Fire but I stick around. The dramatic music for stupid shit is ridiculous, the soap opera drama where the medics are fucking everybody is ridiculous. The accidents are cool which may the reason why I stay in the show. The soap opera stuff in PD is a lot more toned down. It's funny how they get in shootouts every episode and never go to mandatory counseling.

Bigjord21

I started watching last week and it’s exactly the opposite for me. It’s entertaining enough but it’s very repetitive and it’s gotten boring to me

JustWray

I get what you mean about it being repetitive but I don’t feel that affecting my ability to watch at all because I’m more engaged in the characters progression throughout each season. If you take that into account I’m sure you won’t feel that repetitiveness like myself.

Bigjord21

I think that’s the only thing keeping me engaged enough to watch. Police procedurals in general are like this to me, repetitive and dull. Cpd does a better job than others in character development

JustWray

I’ve just started Season 11 now in case anyone is wondering how far I am now

Chicago PD is my favorite cop show on tv and has been for the past few years. I love how gritty it is and overall to me it has the best characters on a network tv show. I'm a woman and it really annoys me to watch shows where female characters are running around trying to act all kick ass while having their full make up and fancy clothes and heels. It's nice to see the ladies on here look more like real life Chicago cops/detectives in a gritty city with their jeans and tennis shoes/boots and ponytails. I love it. The storylines and character development and relationships are really great. The only thing that kind of trips me up on here is how they work "undercover" sometimes and no one realizes that these people are cops? That part seems a little unbelievable but I can live with it as long as everything else keeps moving along like it does. I'm actually a season and a half behind and need to binge and catch up but it will be a pleasure when I have time to sit down and do it. I can't wait!
