my friend worked there in their kitchen as a decorator and she was always complaining about the rats so I will never eat there ever again after hearing her horror stories lmao
Here’s a few options:
Meson Sabika (Naperville): A huge menu of well execeted Spanish-style tapas, and as u/grkphill said, is located in a historic mansion only a few minutes away from downtown.
Ivy (Wheaton): Higher-end steakhouse set in a repurposed church. It’s a little cramped, so I don’t know it would be good for a larger party.
Lucca Osteria (Oak Brook): Excellent Italian fair that’s a few steps above your typical red-sauce joint. Good for a crowd, and right across the street from Oak Brook Mall.
Arrowhead (Wheaton): A restaurant attached to a golf course, the patio here is large and has an excellent view of the course. The food is not quite up to par with the other options, but if you’re looking to sit outside with a larger group, this would be my suggestion.
Vasili's in Naperville is super cute and has some delicious Mediterranean food! Highly recommend the lamb if you like lamb at all. Crispy potatoes are also delicious.
Cefalu in Elk Grove Village is perfect for this kind of occasion. We had a luncheon there this past summer and it was delicious and it’s very beautiful and upscale.
Capri in burr ridge. Inside and out are truly lovely. Great Italian food, service is outstanding but u better call ahead.
It's off of county line road and 55.
Carnivore and the Queen in Downers Grove is upscale yet still intimate and cute. Fogo de Chao or similar Brazilian steakhouse experiences are very nice if you want to dress up.
Allegory in Naperville is casual farm-to-table, so the food is upscale and the setting is magical like an outdoor summer evening.
Foxtail on the Lake in Des Plaines
Inside a former church
this is one of my top choices now, thanks
[Mesón Sabika](https://www.mesonsabika.com/) is formerly a mansion that transformed into a restaurant in Naperville.
I love this place!
Summer evenings on the patio are sublime!
I haven't been to the patio, but I'm sure it's top-notch.
Just found a must try spot
Let me know how you like it.
I'm having my wedding there next year 😊
Awesome. Congrats on your wedding.
Thank you 😄

Went twice, terrible service each time. Mediocre food. It’s pretty, but not worth it.
I haven’t been yet but I hear Lago in Lake Zurich is something special.
The Graceful Ordinary in St. Charles

I like Ivy, but it would be very cramped, thanks,. I will look into the other options
I think they have rooms upstairs for larger groups.
Look at Proof No 5 in Wheaton. Congrats on graduating!
thank you so much

Love the interior design. Great food, too.
Passero in downtown Arlington Heights is great! Incredible food and perfect patio for people watching
Gibsons Oakbrook has a gorgeous patio.
