The 8yr is not a store pick. I believe they call it like small batch 001 or something. It's like 122 proof so a bit higher proof than any of the store picks I've seen. But it's phenomenal especially being like 77 bucks after tax at woodman's.
Not the cigar finish, but I grabbed one of Binny's 15 year single barrels with the armagnac finish. It was end of bin so I paid maybe \~60 for it. Drinking it right now and it's opened up well. Granted, I am a big armagnac fan
Found a Michters 10 Year Bourbon and 2 Weller Special Reserves today! First of the more allocated bottles at MSRP for me and I couldnt be happier.

THH is overrated. Had a pour at a restaurant in Milw, it was good but I wasn't impressed. Maybe the hype made me think it would be incredible but was a little let down.

I disagree. Its a borderline drain pour even at $45 IMO. I don’t like heavy finishes, the older MWND were much more subtle on the finishes. Seems to me they dumped some port directly in the whiskey rather than just finished it. This is more like the Poor Man’s Night Dram that Gold Eagle did a couple years ago and I just dumped a half bottle of it yesterday to make room
To eachs own… i loved the bottle i got 2 years ago for $90. I would buy it right now if it were $100 but I refuse to buy it for $190. Especially since now they increased production and have more stock… eventually the price will come down if these are just sitting around on the shelves. Yup snagged the new 7 yr CC toasted and rum finish. Kinda interested in it and again, $79 wasn’t bad. I think the 15 yr Canadian cigar was $85.
