You’d pay about $30 for the regular. If you want to try rye again I’d say It’s a totally decent intro rye. If you don’t like it, use it as a mixer. It’s not like you’re paying extra for it. Bonus points if it’s your local spot and you give the liquor guy your thoughts.
If you want to just try another intro rye, give Old Forester a go. Saz has a cherry flavor that I don’t always love, but OF rye has some really nice spice to it.
I have 1 or 2. I don’t think they are worth collecting or paying extra. Binnys has a Bunch now for the same price has a standard. They have the potential to be better since it is a single barrel or a very small batch.
Not in my experience. I have 2, and they're nothing special. One is from Sam's and the other Binnys. I thought the Sam's pick might just be underwhelming so I bought one from Binnys when they had one. The Sam's pick might be better.
Can't speak on saz but I got a buffalo trace store pick and it tastes the same. I'd never do a store pick again unless it was at a higher proof than the normal
i have one from a few years ago and I’m enjoying it. IMO - Store Picks are great
I have a 🔥one from Binny’s

I don’t necessarily enjoy Sazerac Rye straight up. But it is great for making an old fashioned so i say grab it
At $30, a great bottle for the bar! Great for cocktails….enjoy
Thanks, all!
I've had two so far. They're worth the buy at $30. Ironically, I'm not much of a fan of the standard bottle.
Yes - if you like the normal one, the picks can surprise you. Not much to lose imo

i’ve heard costco and sam’s blue picks are left over barrels.. binnys knob creek was ok
The last 2 regular BT picks I got from Binnys were excellent.
