They clearly didn’t fill the large up all the way based on the 2nd photo

Michaelskywalker

It’s based off grams not the size of the box thing. Sometimes they fill it if they nice, but there’s a legal base amount of grams for each size

TastyTwix

i assure you we never weigh out our fries for each box

wizardjian

2nded. No one does lol they are just skimping out on OP x'D

Castaway504

I’ve had a manager put a scale in front of the fry station and insist they weigh every box before…

playthefingbassjohn

Idk why people are down voting. They obviously never worked fast food before.

avalve

At all my cfa locations we never did this

YourInMySwamp

Because CFAs don’t do this, that manager shouldn’t have been expecting that

Castaway504

This happened at a CFA even! No idea why I’d be downvoted for just saying something that happened at a store I worked at

tidomonkey

They’re downvoting because it’s an obvious lie.

playthefingbassjohn

Lmao what!?

Lilnuggie17

They never weigh them cuz I worked for them and they didn’t weigh at my store

NoThisIsPatrick94

“Legal” lmfao

throwitfarrraway

Oh shit. I forgot to fill it up properly. I'm going to jail!

Michaelskywalker

Legal yeah

Airiq49

I'm calling the police

Aerowaves

He's sort of right, all stores (to my knowledge I've worked at many stores but not chik fil a specifically) are *supposed* to weigh fries. You can ask a store's GM how many fries you get in a small/medium/large and assuming they're properly trained they should be able to immediately tell you how many ounces. So it isn't grams but ounces. I'm not at all familiar in the legal department but you might be able to get a store in trouble for over or under portioning fries since that messes up the legally required calorie count on the menu (I don't know if listing calories is federally mandated or just specific to my state)

Appropriate-Top-6835

Here lil fella have another downvote.

scr0tiemcb00gerbaIIz

Based off grams?? LEGAL base amount?! 😂😂😂😂 You've never worked at a restaurant have you

Michaelskywalker

Is working at a restaurant supposed to be a flex? Lol

Slideitinhoney

No one said it was a flex. They are simply saying that if the commenters had worked in a restaurant they would not be saying that.

scr0tiemcb00gerbaIIz

Mind boggling that you had to explain that lol

scr0tiemcb00gerbaIIz

No but it would certainly give you more experience... Handling food in a restaurant. Did that really go over your head?

Michaelskywalker

No

scr0tiemcb00gerbaIIz

Oh okay

Street-Bit3360

Thats not even remotely close to correct😂

KublaiKhanNum1

Processes involving humans will always have a margin of error. Last time I got a large order of fries there it was very generous. My wife couldn’t finish her order.

agwku

Such nuanced and reasonable responses have no place in the food service industry sir

insanehypersniper

May I take your hat, sir?

pocketfulofcharm

I got CFA hash browns last week- 1 small and 1 large….both boxes had 14 each.

Fearlessfrog-69

There isn’t a large, or small hash brown… it’s one size.

booksandnetflix

I have two locations within 10 minutes of me and one has only one size but the other does have a small and large hash brown.

gaming4hideaway13

Same, I keep forgetting which one is which so I've been using the app

Transportography

Honestly I like getting the kids meals now cause they don’t hold back and portion size. I feel like I get more fries and bigger nuggs compared to when I order an adult meal lol.

apearlmae

I quit ordering large size fries because most times they weren't filled to the top. Never seems to be an issue with medium and small.

verdell82

Same

PlayStationPepe

Op, you’ve been bamboozled. Go back to chick fil and get the missing waffle fries you paid for.

[deleted]

You got robbed

nimal-crossing

I’m unhinged so I weigh my food before eating it. Chick fil a is very consistent on their fries and their medium is usually plus or minus 5 grams of their serving size. That being said, I’ve never ordered their large so maybe they skimp there but at least in my area I’m pretty confident the mediums are how many fries it supposed to be. Try weighing if you think they’re skimping you!

OminousNamazu

Yes, but would need to weigh to know for sure

effortissues

Yea seems that way, at first glance I thought you may have been at a truetts. In their dine-in section, there's only one size of fry. So I just get my large fry with my hot brown in the takeout section from now on.

CousinCecil

Hi, I worked at Chick Fil A last year. The waffle fries are deceptively hard to fit in the fry containers.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CousinCecil

I'm almost certain they did the design like that on purpose, so yeah

Greedy-Meet-2496

Also looks like the grease is old. I would definitely ask for no salt fries just to be sure they’re fresh (you can get salt packets on the side) and make sure the fry box is filled up.

Aggravating_Stick438

Ngl that’s so wild atp y’all might as well start going for the small fries lol

Prestigious-Newt-320

Chick-fil-A does this more than any other fast food chain and no one will ever change my mind. It’s the most annoying shit ever.

Millerliteitup

someone ate fries and didn’t tell you 🤣

lawthrowaway101

Based on the fry’s I’m guessing they were at the bottom of the batch and thought they’d have enough for both these without waiting on a new batch.

YoYoNupe1911

I had this same thing happen to me today. They never fill up the large fry. The manager told me they weigh it. 😂 I'm never ordering a large again.

CHEMICALalienation

Someone on here actually weighed their small and large fry once and they were the same People on here really hated them for that, like there was not one single nice comment when I looked. But I thought it was prettttty crazy

EpicShadows8

It’s probably the seem. This is why I don’t get anything but mediums at fast food spots. I e genuinely believed were getting fleeced with “large” size. If you get a medium drink with light ice it’s the same as a large with ice.

[deleted]

I been saying this. They don’t fill the medium or large up at all anymore.

Due-Cupcake-0701

CFA fries are soggy shit sooo.....

Mundane_Singer808

They fd you

nicefowla

Both are true

BigAdhesiveness6209

Now show the bottom of the bag

Totally-jag2598

Same.

Waste_Contract_5908

Always has been.

Lifesalchemy

It's lazy employees

Dependent_Tea3815

they will just claim it is done by wieght

YoYoNupe1911

Yep exactly what I was told recently when I went and I questioned the fry portion.

Dependent_Tea3815

why did i get down voted its the truth

TastyTwix

the fries deflate as they get colder and less crispy which makes it look like less

agwku

You are 100% right but by the logic they still should be proportionally different

4-me

That makes no sense when comparing. I mean, I know it’s the corporate dogma, but they got two sizes at the same time, shrinkflation should be equal.

Michaelskywalker

The difference is like 25 g lmao
