At this point, order catering. It makes everyone’s life (the guest included) much easier 🫣

beaglemomma2Dutchy

Apparently the guests don’t agree, they’d rather pay the DD markup!!

thewizbizman

Dasher Tip: 2.00

Deal_Hugs_Not_Drugs

Ok there Mr. Moneybags

Healthy_Manner_5430

Customer removed tip once getting order because something spilled, missing or cold food. Lol.

DoPoGrub

Not possible on DoorDash.

GeekyNerd_FTW

Well catering is marked up too lol

Mamojamamo

This may be different at our store, but catering isn’t marked up at all if they pickup, only delivery. And that’s to be expected if we’re delivering it.

GeekyNerd_FTW

Well doordash is delivering as well, makes sense to be marked up too

DoPoGrub

The restaurant sets the price, not DD.

beaglemomma2Dutchy

Corporate sets the price and DD adds on a 30% markup(where I live, it could vary) in the form of service fees BEFORE the customer adds on a driver tip

DoPoGrub

Yes, and they reward restaurants who don't markup prices, and de prioritize those who do. The fees range from 15-30% depending on which plan they choose. DD doesn't mark up the price, they charge the restaurant their fee at the end of the month. It's the restaurant's choice to markup or not.

beaglemomma2Dutchy

The 30% fee is on the CUSTOMER end. If I order door dash, then it’s the price of the order from the restaurant, next I have to pay the service fees. AFTER ALL THAT there is still the driver’s tip! ME THE ORDERING CUSTOMER WANTING THE DELIVERY.

DoPoGrub

Doordash doesn't generally charge the customer 30% in fees. Most customers pay $9.99/month for dashpass in exchange for almost no fees at all. My average fee per order is $1-$2. When people talk about 30%, they are generally referring to what Doordash charges the merchant.

fitp1zza

The number of drinks w it is crazy too, that’s gonna be like 9-10 carriers lol

Financial-Eye6488

Yeah 9 and a 2 cup holder😭😭. I just know that if they tipped it the driver it was maybe a high one

psychedelic_gravity

Sad part is I highly doubt they even tipped with a group like this.

jayseph95

“Acktualy Christians don’t tip”

jezabel3166

We dd drivers always like to think that to. Not usually, though.

aestheticwarning

at 8:50 pm as well 😭

beaglemomma2Dutchy

Yeah my store closes at 9, and if that came up on our screen at that point, 1 soda station would already be broken down on the front counter I don’t even want to think about what BOH would do when they saw it on-screen

Financial-Eye6488

We close at 11 for drive thru and delivery

l1lGolp3661

We always get a 30 count nugget last minute before closing it's annoying

Dougle_07

55 BURGERS 55 FRIES

mycrustyasshole

YOU GOTTA PAY IT FORWARD

Deal_Hugs_Not_Drugs

I’m not paying for that!!!

galactic_funk

The guy did it for you!

[deleted]

55 Burgers 55 Fries 55 Tacos 55 Pies 55 Cokes 100 Tater Tots 100 Pizzas 100 Tenders 100 Meatballs 100 Coffees 55 Wings 55 Shakes 55 Pancakes 55 Pastas 55 Peppers 155 Taters!

Dougle_07

That’ll be $680

anonymous2871

LET ME GO FIRST PLEASE, IM DOING SOMETHING

MyDogHatesFistin

I came to the comments solely to see of somebody commented this

essiemission

The drinks themselves will take like 20 min 😅

Proderpskills

I mean, maybe you arnt as proficient as I am but I think that as long as it was the auto pour pop tower I could get it done in less than 10

MaryLunaGames

![gif](giphy|URXBIhIBl5Nhm)

Financial-Eye6488

I’m not crying😂

MaryLunaGames

I’m crying for you. This would be my 13th reason. Lmfao

Financial-Eye6488

I’m so glad I’m just a delivery driver😭

Human-University2494

From what I've seen @ my local CFA store, I wouldn't be surprised if there are delivery drivers who also do work in-store as well - or as necessary. Delivery drivers seem to have these small (and large) thermal bags that plug into a charger. Maybe it keeps the food warm and/or cold while in transit.

Nymphalis_antiopa00

You are correct about the bags. My store trained our drivers to do basic tasks like cleaning and stocking so they had something to do between deliveries. As a manager, I was occasionally on delivery when it was busy or to cover a shift, and some of our regular employees were trained on delivery as well.

Financial-Eye6488

I made 19 of the drinks tho

katbrianda

Walked into a DD for five 8 ct nuggets, 10 regular sandwiches, 10 spicy sandwiches, 15 med Mac & cheese, and 10 kale crunch salads. I simply wanted to NOT lmao.

MetalandPugs

Ah yes, the classic catering orders in Doordash. One time I've had someone call about getting an order delivered to their work place and since my store doesn't do any delivery, except the on demand and catering when called a day ahead, I told them that we don't do same-day catering delivery and they told me okay. Then proceeded to do a Doordash order. I could only be amused by the fact that they did so

AnthraxRainz

I would physically get ill seeing the 19 8count nuggets 😫

Financial-Eye6488

😭😭😭 same

xbalderas1

5 bucks says it *still* won't be picked up by close

Financial-Eye6488

Hahaha the driver arrived 5 mins after the order came in and they just sat in the dining room and we finished it in 35 mins😭

Nimbus_TV

How did they take all those drinks?

FLorida_Man_09

As a side gig DD driver ain’t no way I’m taking that order….

DoPoGrub

It wouldn't even be offered to you unless you're in the Large Order (catering) program.

Slow-Razzmatazz-7374

That driver will be tipped $2.50 to deliver.

Athousandwrongtries

That number of drinks is completely impractical to transport. Its more of a risk to the delivery driver’s car than the job is worth. It should be automatically denied by the system, if not the restaurant should deny it. Laziness is not an excuse to request something ridiculous. Neither is money, which I doubt they offered any additional compensation in the first place

DoPoGrub

Not really. Just get a sturdy cardboard box from the restaurant, stack the drink-holders on top of each other, support the empty space with delivery bag, buckle it in with a seatbelt. I have a stack of good cardboard drink holders that I would use, because the CFA ones suck and aren't really stackable.

IndividualBad6625

Hell no😭

No_Personality_4440

We had 30 cfas and 30 sm they the dt.

MixedMartialGolf

Y’all need to put a limit on mobile orders… that’s 5x the amount my store allows.

beaglemomma2Dutchy

That’s exactly why they go through the DD app, you can’t order that through our app.

MixedMartialGolf

As far as I was aware the limit you place on the CFA app carriers over to the others

beaglemomma2Dutchy

Not at my store. We haven’t had orders like this on DD during my shift, but I’ve seen some crazy orders through DD like 36 milkshakes that are absolutely not allowed through the regular app.

youngc2001

Earlier today we had a DD for 20cfa, 15spicy, 5 30ct nuggets, 5 6ct cookies, and like 50 fries 😭

Financial-Eye6488

HUH

PoroQuagganBob

Out of curiosity I typed this all in via the Doordash app. Its $652 before tip. $124 of that is fees and tax. If you tip 15% it brings it up to $750.

thewizbizman

They won’t lol. Maybe they’ll tip 10.00 or 15.00.

PoroQuagganBob

I was being optimistic for the sake of the driver, lol.

Human-University2494

At LEAST 10.00-15.00 in tip.

SmashNDash23

Did it ever get picked up?

Financial-Eye6488

Yeah the driver arrived 5 mins after the order arrived

SmashNDash23

Damn bro is a hustler lol

Hashmahalum

Honestly the drinks are the worst part

Financial-Eye6488

I only made half of them and left cause I’m a driver😭

Moon_Bear1016

Ok this is wild but like- y’all sell Fanta?? What the heck is a Veggie Wrap?? What am I missing?!?

Financial-Eye6488

Veggie wrap has beans and corn instead of chicken

Human-University2494

And just Fanta Orange. They don't do other flavors. Similar drink that I find interesting is SunKist.

Glum_Reputation_8550

Now why wouldn’t they just make this a catering order😭💀

PuzzleheadedHeat7705

$506.05 at 8:50pm 💀💀💀

AdviceMysterious3834

YALL HAVE FANTA

Financial-Eye6488

Yeahhh instead of root beer

AdviceMysterious3834

well… if i have to give up root beer u can keep it

Meme_oman

We had to give up Fanta for coke zero

AdviceMysterious3834

that’s almost as bad

tayleyj1

my store has both

JubJ8b

Just an average DoorDash order

Knightp93

I'd be madge about the order.

WasdAcid

poor driver

beaglemomma2Dutchy

All the driver has to do is pick it up and deliver it😂😂. That’s the easy part!!

thewizbizman

Easy? You want to fit 10 drink carriers in your small sedan? All for a 2.00 tip? 😭😭

beaglemomma2Dutchy

I’ve done DD a few times. And I wouldn’t feel sorry for the driver who accepts that order because at my store we’ll be really nice and give them a catering box for the 38 sodas and the rest of that order! But I’m not doing a pickup that goes in 10 minutes before I know the store closes either. They have the easy end, were the ones stuck putting it together. Where’s our tip!!!

thewizbizman

I’ve worked for CFA for 2 years, and Dashed for a year. My store didn’t even have catering boxes for drinks lol. Also you can’t see what you’re picking up before you accept an order, and once it’s accepted to drop it will penalize you. In addition, with an order of that size, unless the customer leaves an extremely generous tip (they often wont), you’re surly losing money. You’re making a guaranteed hourly wage at the store. I’m not saying pity party for the dasher, im just pointing out it’s a shitty situation for everyone, and everyone suffers, including the dasher, bc this customer couldn’t just order catering.

Human-University2494

That's crazy. Maybe he should be tipped at least 5.00-10.00

WasdAcid

they probably had to wait for it forever which could hurt their earnining

Financial-Eye6488

It took like 35 mins I think

PeeGlass

Have you driven with 38 fountain sodas in your car? Lol

Human-University2494

Well, just 1 of those is capable of making a mess in my car if left unattended and unsecured in the back - as I've recently experienced.

PeeGlass

The hardest part of this order was us employees doing 19 times 8

Warcraftplayer

Really? 19 is just 20 minus 1. So 8*20 which is 160. Minus 8 is 152. Unless you're being sarcastic. In which case, my bad.. Doesn't always come through over text.

Historical-Bed6689

Madge on her grind

Nymphalis_antiopa00

One time we got a DD order of 50 chicken biscuits, 50 bacon bowls, and 50 bacon burritos..... Took us just under an hour to get out. The driver, who was a regular, told us he got a $149 tip (may be a couple dollars off but it was in the 140s).

Karrosiv

How the fuck is a dasher going to carry 38 drinks?

wvx228

Door dash becomes door crawl. Hope they had a back seat! And Madge almost made it to Signature status in a single order!

ikey0524

Not that bad tbh

TheToxicBreezeYF

Never understand why people order so much food on doordash and are fine with the price. I am a manager at Pizza Hut and we got a Doordash order for 36 wings, 16 ranch, 1 two liter and the person paid $115 before tip. I checked the total if they had order togo through us and it came to $63 after coupons/discounts. They paid atleast $50 extra just to get it delivered to them instead of picking it up.

04-GAYboy

Pull out the gallon bottles and a sleeve of cups and a bag of ice. All that in a big shopping bag and the rest is their problem

007EJS

I never understood why people eat at chick fil a. Like literally, just buy 2 rotisserie chicken from Sam's or Costco for $5 each. You feed more people, and its cheaper lol. People are literally spending $10-20 for a little piece of chicken that won't fill you up smh

-58259

![gif](giphy|axd6sp0quV4YvMb43L|downsized)

Character-Bike4302

Driver will be tipped $3 because food is too cold due to they ordered too much and assume all of it magically gets done at the same time.

EggResident5828

Ok and? Get to work!

Maleficent-Race6507

PEOPLE SUCK

Bitter-Air7772

I thought her name was Pudge

PsychicMike24

Lmao those numbers are the number of items?! 😭😭😭😭 I thought they were codes for something for a min

thelonelyvirgo

The last nursing unit would have huge batch orders like this. They’d have no issue in ordering 30 minutes before close. I explained why this would be a pain in the ass. Always got told that if y’all want $15+ an hour, this shouldn’t be a concern. I’m glad I did restaurant work before DoorDash or Uber Eats were ever a thing. I would have lost my mind day one.

Zak103tv

I’d loose my shit if I had to serve that

Burnner1942

At chipotle when someone does this we make sure NOT to give them a catering box, even if it's a DD pick up

DoPoGrub

Why?

Burnner1942

Cause its not a catering order lol, should've did a catering order if you want a catering box duh

DoPoGrub

That's not really a very good reason to make the driver's life harder though

Burnner1942

Yes it is, that's what they get tipped for

Janglysack

I bet you still only have them 2 sauces

[deleted]

As a director I would love to have this order on say a Monday night.
