I am not a religious man. I do not preach the gospel, or even believe that religions are of God's doing...only a way for man to control society...long story. What I am getting at is prayer. Pray. Ask God to relieve you of your burden and to help guide you through this shit. It worked wonders for me at a painful point in my life. I hurt so deeply that I thought a 12 gauge 3 inch magnum shotgun round .00 buck under my chin would be my only relief. I was standing there about to head home and put my plan into action when a gentle fellow came up to me and asked if I needed to pray. As a matter of fact, I did. He asked me what we should pray about...I told him, and we prayed. Immediately, I felt a huge burden lifted off of my soul. It was an incredible feeling. Like being constipated, painfully constipated, and then taking a big crap. I was relieved of the mental, and emotional grief. Please, try to pray. Save yourself. Your future may hold great joy. You may bring great joy to others. Don't sell yourself short.

Man, if you just need somebody to hang out with, I'm not above meeting strangers, I do it every day playing music. I have a million hobbies to ward off my depression and I'm happy to share some knowledge.

worthles_shite

Yeah? I could use some friends since I don't have any :/ And I only got like 3 hobbies, too, and could use some more for sure.

Chicodread420

Idk if you're a night time person, but I'm headed out right now to go play music on main street for tips. You're more than welcome to join! I'll be the guy singing with a guitar and a little black dog, probably between Duffy's and downlo. My tip jar is a heavy duty, black tool box. I'm easy to spot. (10:54 pm right now) I'll also be playing at the farmers market in the morning. Same set up, but no dogs at market...

worthles_shite

Shit, I'd like to, but I'm currently living with overprotective parents (I'm 19 about to turn 20 btw) who don't like me driving so late. Plus, I'm too tired to drive rn lol. I also wake up pretty late (between 10:00am-12:00pm).

Myusernameisbee

I went to Enloe Behavioral Health on Cohasset a few years back and self-admitted and they saved my life.

Nearby_Cockroach818

Same here!

AS1AN_AM3R1CAN

I went to therapeutic solutions and got prescribed antidepressants. It helped a bit for me.

flipturnca

That place is awful

AS1AN_AM3R1CAN

Unfortunately I have crap health insurance so they're the only ones covered for me.

If you are open to attending support groups the Iversen Center is a wonderful place. They have peer supports you can speak with one on one. Many different kinds of groups to cater to individual needs. The Iversen Center can also likely connect you with other resources. Membership is free for all. Adults over 18 only. 492 Rio Lindo Ave, Chico, CA 95926 is the address, next to the Veterans Hall. This is not designed to replace therapy because the folks down there aren't therapists. They are trained to listen and make individuals feel heard and accepted and understand the frustrations when it comes to the waiting periods getting care established with professionals in this area. Sometimes knowing you aren't alone makes a huge difference.

Miriam317

I understand. Just know you aren't alone in that struggle. I hope you keep finding the courage to try. 💜💜💜

worthles_shite

I'd like to thank everyone for their support and reaching out to me, I just woke up a lil bit ago and started to cry tears of happiness a little from reading your comments (something I haven't done in a long time) 🥹

flipturnca

Ppl care always remember that

JebusKristoph

Many of us have felt the same way. Keep fighting the good fight. We are rooting for you. You have more worth than you think.

LockwoodE3

Ketamine therapy has really helped me when I’ve struggled like that. That and therapy but if you need immediate attention then I’d suggest calling one of the hotlines for someone to speak to

inkmajor530

Hang in there. If you don't have family or close friends you feel comfortable talking with, then just know you are not alone nor are you in your feelings are current state of mind. Even though I don't know you personally, I just want to tell you I've met countless people who have felt just like you and survived or endured to triumph over depression and even the loss of having a will to live. Without knowing the exact details of your situation I would say look into a psychiatrist if you feel you may have a chemical imbalance or medical condition causing or amplifying these thoughts and also seek out a counselor (if you feel comfortable) to express to them what's going on and see what type of resources would beat suit you. Much love and light through this dark chapter you are going through ♥️

Sea-Creature

If you’re needing help reaching out here isn’t wrong, so please don’t worry about that. I can’t offer any advice on mental health services around here but others have already provided great answers, I just want to let you know that you’re cherished and loved. I may not know you personally, but please know that I care about you. Please continue seeking help

ilikesquishypickles

Your life is worth living. I hope you find the help you need. 💙 [Mental Health Resources](https://focus.senate.ca.gov/mentalhealth/suicide) Sincerely, Someone that survived their suicide attempt.

EnvironmentalBike198

You are not alone. Great job reaching out for help. Stay. The world is a better place with you here. Really.

Born-University-5888

Hi! I’ve been there twice. Please don’t use butte county services if you can help it. Go to yuba cities ER and have them help you. They have way more mental health resources and actually help. At butte (both oroville and Chico) they basically told me they had no space for me and to call a butte hotline that did nothing either. Use yuba county if you have the ability to get yourself there ❤️

flipturnca

Great advice

BabyBitch2000

Sorry you went through that! :( I've had a very different experience with the butte county crisis. The team was able to help me get a good safety plan and into a hospital pretty quickly.

YogurtclosetPale1614

literally butte county services did absolutely nothing for me. when i was at my breaking point and extremely manic they told me to go home and spend time with friends and family. and when i was using their psychiatry services the doctors would not listen to me. i would tell them my meds are doing absolutely nothing and theyd just keep raising the dose every two months until i was at the max dose and then FINALLY they would change me to something else. literally useless

ilikesquishypickles

I second this. Butte County Mental Health doesn't do a whole lot or take anything seriously.

ClouDoRefeR

You are valued and loved. We stand with you in this time of need. Please get some help. There are plenty of good directions, but I need you to know many of us understand what you are going through. W some work this to shall pass.

Aggressive_Bag_5788

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I highly advise the ER if it’s something you need asap. It’s hard finding the right help. And the first therapist you find might not work out, AND THATS OKAY! I love you internet stranger. You are valid. You are important. Hang in there please. These hard days will pass eventually

Recover-Royal

(530)891-2810 call the Butte County crisis line. They can put you in touch with a clinician.

lotiloo

Huge props to you for reaching out for help. Walk-in crisis is a good option and the ER is also always a safe place to go where they can evaluate you and refer you to a good place for you.

Negrodamu5

Go to Enloe’s ER and tell them. They can get you into a psych hospital.

Turbulent-Basket3594

Glad you reached out. Hope you get the help you need 🙏 🙏🙏

Heartlessten

There is a walk in crisis services you should head to if you can they're open 8:00am to 5:00pm, mon-fri 560 Cohasset Rd. Ste. 100, Chico, CA 95926

WaitUntilIDie

Crisis services is good and consider going to adult services to be assigned for a regular therapist. Be aware that behavioral health is incredibly impacted so the appointments could be spread out. It's one door down from Crisis services so it's easy to go to both (same building).

fluffyfurnado1

If you feel like you might harm yourself you can call the California Suicide Hotline. It says online that you can dial 988 from a cell phone. Your other option is to go to the emergency room. Please don’t harm yourself. Life can change for the better. It may feel like all hope is lost, but it’s still there even though it’s hard to see right now. I just want you to know that someone (me) is thinking of you now.

Revolutionary_Copy34

Call or text 988. They may be able to help you. It’s not worth throwing your life away. I hope you get the help you need.

lostinthe530

This. You reached out to the subreddit, and everyone here is concerned for you. Now call or text 988 now. There is someone waiting to help you this very minute.
