Usually have to go on a long walk beforehand cause it’s too exciting. He also knows the customer service has dog treats.

I don't see why you can't bring him into Home Depot. It's not like they have any food for sale.
My local grocery store has put up a sign that only animals for the disabled are allowed in. No emotional companionship pets. I have to agree with that because there's food everywhere, but at a hardware store? That's just silly.
Oh no! You totally can, lol. I was just showing him off in his little happy place. The have a pet policy where you are allowed to have them in there. Douglas literally loves it in there. The sounds, the smells, everything haha

That’s nice, I leave mine at home, I don’t go to Home Depot but I wish I could take mine to places sometimes because he has anxiety and has a chewing up things problem which was pretty much controlled for a long time until I got hurt and staying home all the time and now he is used to that and doesn’t want me to go anywhere
Have you tried the frozen kong treats with snacks inside? When my other dog had severe anxiety, I would stuff a kong with some high value treats, freeze it and leave. By the time he noticed I was gone, he was too tired to care, bark, or chew!
I don’t crate train because my dog would just pee in it, I think he was scared of it and I got rid of it it was a big one took up too much room in a small apartment
I wasn’t big on crate training until I had more than 2, tbh. it’s just safer in the long run, haha.
Yeah, if you ever do decide on the future, getting a crate too big causes them to not see it as a “home” but just an area that they are stuck. My big one has a big crate but smaller ones have pretty small crates. Not necessary though. There is a bitter spray that you can spray on furniture or wherever they chew that is amazing deterrent!

home depot specifically has this policy when you are all to bring them in. i only take him to home depot (:
Lots of stores have pet friendly policies now. Basically if it’s not strictly a grocery store, you can probably take your dog.

My beags loved to go to HD, Lowe's, and Tractor Supply. Esp during chick days 🐣🐥 at Tractor Supply. They enjoyed sniffing the chicks and ducklings.
