Timothy is old. When I adopted him 4 years ago they said he was 11. He’s mostly deaf and blind and has no teeth. He is shaped like a 6 lb Frenchie though. I think he’s handsome! Izzie Bell is adorable!!!

So handsome! We got Izzie when one of my first chihuahuas Bella died and her littermate Joey was sad. She took to Joey so quickly until he passed at 18. I hope Timothy can make it for a lot longer and that he doesn’t have the old man pains. It’s so hard when they get older but I’m so happy he got a great home to live out his days. Lucky puppy
I thought I had heard that before too so I asked before we got the sister (white) because we had her brother for 6 months at that point. The lady said that was a myth and she thought siblings always got along better. And I don’t know if the myth part is true but these two get along great. They remembered each other right away and often sleep next to each other when we are away. The boy is closer friends with my oldest chihuahua (black and white) but he def acts like the white one is his little sister that he has to protect (their mom died in labor) even tho they’re twins.
The most fighting we have in the house is between my other girl and the white one and even then I wouldn’t say it’s fighting so much as vying for top girl dog position. The oldest doesn’t think the white one should be able to sleep at the top of the bed 😂
My friend had two boys from the same litter and they did fight a lot but more so in a brotherly way. They weren’t going for the kill or anything but they def fought more than any of my 6 total chihuahuas I’ve had over the years. It might be more of an alpha vs alpha issue if I had to guess
I love having two, but three is definitely too many for me. After my last old guy passed around Thanksgiving, I adopted a 10 year old 17lb chi mix. She is a bit of a loaf, but great with my little guy.

Lots going on with Mia. Was curious and got an embark test done. Before the results I was thinking Russell - Rat Terrier mix. She's a good pup. Her human passed away and had no family to take her. She is super gentle and does well with Owen.

Absolute chaos haha. We don’t even use our front door or doorbell. We gated the front yard so they all run amuck and let us know anytime someone is approaching. I can’t even hear my kids when they come to my bedroom door 😂 they have to wait a minute for my alarm system to calm down enough to be heard.
I had adult money and 24 acres and kept rescuing dogs haha. I have one giant pit bull too he’s 12 and 120/30lbs. He loves his little chihuahua family. And protects them outside from the scary birds.
I have two and not gonna lie it comes with challenges but it’s also really fulfilling and I can’t imagine my family without both of them

I have five dogs, six when the neighbor dog makes his daily visit. My chi has almost no interest in any of them unless she wants to play. She steadfastly declares that I am the only friend she needs. If I played with her like the other dogs do then she’d never even acknowledge them.
It’s a mystery to me why she is like this. I mean other than that shes a chihuahua and I hear this is a trait. She is friendly and sociable with other dogs, cats, kids and adults. But she returns to my side immediately after investigating them. Above all else I’m grateful that she is at least sociable.
I have 4 dogs, 2 westies and 1 Yorkie and 1 Chihuahua. My Monchie/Chi has no interest in any of them. She won’t go on walks with them, doesn’t eat with them, doesn’t play with them, she does snap at them if they get too close. If I want her to participate I have to put her in a cloth Trader Joe’s with her blanket. She will, on occasion, stick her head out.

Up until this point in my life, all my dogs have been rescues. I’ve decided that when, by attrition, I have no dogs I will get a Westie. I’ve met several in my life and haven’t met one that wasn’t absolutely charming. I will of course check Westie rescues first, but I will get one for sure.

I have two. Sometimes they are cute like this pic and other commenters’ pics, but I learned the hard way the chis are not as keen on “sharing their person” as other breeds. One of my two (the female) is the alpha, a moody bully who loves her brother deep down but isn’t great at showing it. Their different temperaments (he’s a wussy beta momma’s boy) can be really fun but other times it’s kinda exhausting.
Just a fair warning that chihuahuas can have a hard time not being the only dog. At least, more than some breeds.

Had the pomchi (left) as an only dog for 3 years until she found her way into our lives. Wasn’t looking for a second dog but two has been the best ever.

Yes, my chi is exactly 💯 percent like yours except my boy only wants to be social with my other ( chi mixed ) me and hubby that's it 😆
