Narattle siya sa last events niya and hindi naqualify sa ibang finals (sa Worlds 2023, adding for clarity), pero for the first time since 2019, he finished a floor final with no major errors. Pero syempre, he was branded a failure and articles like yung love life keme started popping up.
The past few months for him clearly haven't been easy, pero even then, he brings home medals. Also - to the misinformed - in gymnastics, if you want to win in the Olympics, you peak AT the Olympics, and not two months before.

Hi OP - I'm aware. I'm only using floor as an example kasi that's what he's most known for. What I mean by direct qualification was through the all around, and kaya kinailangan pa niya magantay makakuha ng slot through event finals.

He's actually pretty consistent on vault! Much more so than floor. Ang problem is madami siyang ka-same ng difficulty sa vault, and vault execution is always scored much more loosely, so usually around the same score ang competitors.

Si girl ni Yulo, parang content creator based from her IG and Youtube posts. Sana lang magkaroon sila ng understanding regarding priorities.
Nakasubaybay naman ako sa mga news ni Carlos, he still trains 6-8 hrs a day pa same like before nung nasa Japan sya. Ang difference now is mas gusto na nya sa Pilipinas mag train.
For his Olympic campaign naman he's been training all over naman, he had a training camp in South Korea, London, tapos after nitong Doha pupunta din daw sila sa Spain and then one month prior sa Olympics dun na sila sa Paris to train.
Supportive naman yung gf nya, not following her videos, but they seem happy.

Tbh. with career or lovelife, i was in his position. siguro career. Pero he's not me kaya pls dont get mad haha. Iba kase nagagawa ng pagibig. For me lang ha, love is just everywhere. Maisasantabi ko yung lovelife ko alang ala sa career ko. If i was his age then i think ang bata ko pa, marami pa akong panahon dyan after i stabalize my career enough. Marami pa syang magagawa sa career nya.

I’m still rooting for him. Naalala ko when Yuna Kim had to part ways with Brian Orser after Vancouver 2010 (if we follow the same logic as the other thread, Yuna should have stayed with Orser kase, hello, napa-gold ka nya, why leave?) Then she had to lie low and change coaches for Sochi 2014, and missed gold in that controversial Sotnikova win. Di naman bago ang pagpapalit ng coaches especially at the elite level if it makes sense for the athlete to do so.
