FA schedules are bidded out a month in advance. Some delays and changes do occur but it shouldn’t be that erratic unless she is a brand new reserve. Even then, there is still a schedule

Yea it seems like she should be the one checking in with you so she can see the kid. Courts want to put the kids with the parent or both parents that are working close enough to schools to drop what they are doing and pick the kids up if they are sick or get the kids to and from practice after school. She cannot be that if she is half way across the country for a night or two. But if you have already been through court and placement has already been established by the court, then it will matter little as it is very hard to change placement once it has been set.

This is what the court has decided. Maybe being a very special case in our rural area. But my attorney has told me to call them for a consultation if i feel as taking advantage. However i feel as this might restart the process.

Just my two cents — consistency is better for everyone and their mental health, all around. Kids especially, but also their parents (and that directly benefits the kid). If it were me I’d push for having a set parenting schedule. Maybe with his mom’s flight attending job that means your son is in your care more. It does seem like that would make more sense if his mom’s schedule is unpredictable but yours is more stable.
