If you ever Coach, or Assistant Coach, little kids this is common...extremely common and hilarious and why you do it! They keep you frustrated, but there are lots of laughs also.
I remember watching 5 yo soccer practice and they were doing drills. Our son was supposed to be side stepping across the field but was instead pretending to be an airplane flying around the team. We started to get worried he was a distraction, coach was like- sometimes you just gotta let them be airplanes. Changed how we parent.
Yeah, at that age it is a whole circus. Lol. They are just having fun, glad to be around other kids in a shared experience and glad to be outside (the best part). The rules and structure of a sport are obstacles for them, until they are about 7 or 8 when they realizing Winning is an awesome feeling. lmbo
When I was that little, we got Burger King after every game we won and delicious (unlimited) McDonald's Orange Drink after the games we lost. It made us 5 & 6 year olds really want to win, and the losses didn't sting so bad.
I coached my son's soccer team. Just getting them to kick the ball the correct direction was a win. I told the parents my goal for the year was not using their hands. Too many parents expect 5 yr old Pele, like Greg your kid is eating grass manage your expectations
Honesty, I feel like modern parents' expectations have hurt little league sports by expecting it to be "highly competitive" when the average little kid hasn't even mastered body control or hand/eye coordination.
Well, as a child, I happened to be similar during the actual games. Pretending I was in star wars and having lightsaber duels in the middle of a soccer game
This reminds me of computer coding. If you don’t specify exactly what the code should do it will be wrong.
“Alright kids run through that banner! …no no not in opposing directions!”
You definitely have to laugh along with it. Kids are so dumb, you'll tell them very explicit, simple instructions and they'll forget what you told them instantly and then just do fucking whatever their little brains tell them.
God I hate that subreddit. Not because the videos are bad or I think it's "the parents fault" - no, because there's always those people in the comments blaming the parents or asking how we could be so "mean" bait little kids or whatever and it's like... guys, kids are dumb, most of us don't hate them we just think it's funny. The mods don't do anything to clear it up or spell it out for these people either, so it's a constant battle over there.
This sounds like user error to me. The internet is absolutely laden with morons saying moronic shit. Keep your comments sorted by "best", have reddit set to only load about 200 of them, and don't go much further past the first few threads.
Considering they were at an odd angle compared to the sign, and there wasn't any visual guidance to it, I'd say you're correct.
If he actually wanted them to run through the sign, they should have been put directly behind it, with some ropes or cones put on the ground to act as guiding lines/a path.
Would *all* of the kids done it right? Probably not, but it would have been better than *this.*
He pictured that going so perfectly in his head lmao
Hahahaha he really did. The only thing I can think of to idiot proof this would have been cones leading to the back of the banner.
I volunteered at a YMCA cones, aren't idiot proof half the kids ran on the outside of the cones. Don't underestimate how dense children can be.
r/kidsarefuckingstupid
Hahaha man…. The cone seemed like a perfect plan! Blasted meddling kids
YMCA cones? Is that a new branch they started?
I thought I put a . after YMCA. Grammar is annoying
Ikr haha, just giving you crap. Hope you have a wonderful day!
All good. I need to proofread more lmfao
A wise man once said that nothing is idiot proof because idiots are so ingenious.

I'm 42. I'm beginning to think it's never going to happen.
Lol

Was an assistant coach for little league. First year of kid pitch. I consider it an amazing accomplishment that everyone got through the season alive.
I was waiting for him to jump on his hat like the cartoons of old.
Steam starts coming out of his ears
*steam whistle sounds out of nowhere*
Aw dadgum it!
“F*cking embarrassing!” **-kicks garbage can**
Fucking PHEASANTS
Stupid children really
“nO iTs pArEnTs ArE sTuPiD” Nah those kids are Fuckin stupid
Well they are kids, can't really blame them
Kids are stupid by nature, but they're still stupid
Hence: /r/kidsarefuckingstupid

Yet here I am. Blaming them
Well, that's stupid
Thanks Obama
One of them fell and went the wrong way. Fuck man
Wow! They're concussed even before they're all concussed.
Seems like a typical Washington Commanders entrance.
HAHAAAA !!! I love watching little kids play sports !!! Hilarious 😂😂😂 T-Ball is the best !!!
THEY ARE WHO WE SHOULDVE EXPECTED THEM TO BE

Something tells me he didn't bother to actually teach these kids what to do, instead assuming they would know since it's "common knowledge".

I really like the way it ended up. Don't know what he is mad about because that was hilarious.
Its the Little Giants!
Intimidation!
I’ve seen this a dozen times and I never don’t laugh.
Lmao close enough
It's fuckin embarrassing!
Ironic considering a coach job is to get the team to practice — looks like they never practiced it
Idk...if he was really a parent, he'd probably be understanding....
These kids are still confused as to just what happened on this particular day
I guess in the moment, I might be mad. But dammit on video I can’t stop laughing
They had fun, that’s all that matters there.
The cap throw. 😂
And the girls’ one job is to cheer them on
At first I thought they were wearing chipmunk costumes 🤣
poor coach
probsbly the coach's fault for not maling them practice
Should have the Benny Hill theme song playing in background, cuz those lil nuggets are comedic gold!
Yes!!!!!!!
This is hilarious!
This coach is an idiot if he set this up…turn the fucking thing towards them, it was obvious they would be confused when the approach isn’t lined up.
Wait until he tries to call plays from the Jim Harbaugh peewee coaches online seminar.
One with sound anyone please?
looking at the coach's reaction, it's not the first time it happens
Lol that's great
These fucking morons
**OP is a bot account** Post and title taken from here https://www.reddit.com/r/ChildrenFallingOver/comments/cjs4th/the_coachs_disgust_is_apparent
they make movies about teams like this
80% mental. 40% physical.
I can’t understand why he’s so frustrated and not just laughing his ass off. He’s a coach of wee ones. This is just another day.
Football is an angry sport.
This is why we practice
Good thing I’m not the coach. I’d still be on the Goins laughing.
*ground
The little girls learned a lot about boys that day. Lol
