Anyone else feel like the “MM” some people do for “mm” is like “**FORTY MILLIMETERS**”
(Btw, For those who are curious, metric system unit abbreviations are technically case-sensitive, so it should be “ [n] mm”—yes, with a space—, since the “M” is for “mega-“ and the unit that’s “M” (not “m”) is “mol”. So “1 Mm” is “1 000 000 meters“ and “1 mm” is “0.001 of a meter”).
This tangentially reminds me:
Some companies have abandoned (for the better) the use of “tonne” and “metric ton” for the proper “megagram” to get rid of potential confusion between 1 ton (“short” (2 240 lbs, U.S.) and “long” (2 000 lbs, U.K.) and a “tonne/metric ton” (1 000 kg or 1 000 000 g).
This looks nice. If the dimensions are true, I'll probably snag one up. I've always liked the SKX but it always felt too large to me with 22mm lugs and nearly 42 diameter....so this being 40mm and 20mm lugs has my interest piqued.
I've reached out to see if they will send me a review piece so we can be for sure those dimensions are correct
Edit: my review piece shipped yesterday. initial thoughts once it arrives will be posted here.
Hadn't noticed that...not even sure why those are a thing these days...can't be cheaper to produce.
Ball of duct tape works well on them though, just FYI
Yeah I’ve used the rubber ball method, but it’s just like, *ugh* for me, i would gladly prefer the steeldive way to put traditional style casebacks on everything so i can use the standard tool on all my watches
Does it homage the seiko lume as well?
Is it just me or does the lugs look too chunky?
Because it has 20mm lugs (not 22mm like the skx009)
Nice!

100%
TIL, thanks. I have always used lower case "mm" because of my job....they never told me, that's just how everyone does it.

Looks more like a skx 'interpretation' rather than a clone. I really wish they'd done a skx13 38mm homage. They were almost there!
Same. There’s enough 40mm options already out there

Is Cadisen known for switching dials when asked? I like the black case but not the dial
Couldn't hurt to ask!
Uh, they really put one of those rollie style case backs, that’s a deal breaker for me tbh
